Trump calling Pete "a beauty"

Could this be Trumpian coded language that means homosexual? Why is he referring to Pete like you'd refer to a stunning horse/car?

Depending on the situation, people of cheeto's age often use the phrase "a beauty" instead of "a piece of work" with connotations of a person whose foolishness, stupidity, and ignorance never fail to amaze you, whose personality is difficult or obnoxious, or sometimes someone who is a real character in a positive though condescending way.

I have heard Trump say "Ivanka, she is a beauty" and "My daughter is a beauty, that one, a real beauty."

Remember Trump has limited vocabulary and most often his word choice is not the best given the selection. That causes him to repeat and overuse certain words, such as "tremendous." Apparently, he has never read or used a thesaurus and never will.

Why must we react to everything he says? That's why he keeps doing it. Keep on task and don't fall for his attempts at changing the focus.

r1 Thanks, I sensed it must've been something like that. I hope younger deplorables register it in the positive way, though.

Trump fancies himself as an old tough guy from the streets of Queens, and that’s the kind of lingo they use.

Here’s one of my fav scenes from the movie Casino. When the new blackjack dealer comes in, Nicky says “Look at this fuckin’ beaut’ they put in now.” It’s clear he meant it facetiously. It’s all about context. Sometimes it’s a good thing and sometimes it’s a bad thing. You can tell by what he said afterward concerning Pete’s record that he meant it in a bad way.

I often say that Trump is basically President Joe Pesci and this is another example.
