You know, the one that had a stroke and was lonely, sad and depressed, so the folks from the assisted facilty where he lived asked gay men around the country to mail him letters

I heard he hooked up with one of his pen pals and the pen pal drove to the nursing home and got into a swing bed with him.

He died. Not being snarky. I started the thread about him. Receiving those cards from everyone gave him a lot of joy. Thank you all for your kindness.

I couldn't rest until I tracked down the thread in question, which I remember participating in as well.
I'm so glad he actually received some letters, though I don't knows if he's still around today.
