It will not be an RF channel. This is not an over-the-air device.

You need to figure out whichever HDMI input you have it it, and switch the TV to display that input.

As R15 said, you have to set the TV to HDMI input.

You should see the screen regardless of whether or not the device is connected to a wifi network.

Are you sure you have the correct input selected: HDMI1 etc?

Also... is the TV possibly in standby mode?

So far the 30 plus feet doesn't seem to be an issue.

You should be fine with the router. But what you need to do is find the right input.

Look on the remote for something that something like "Source" or "Home." That should give you a list of all the different inputs.

Other possibility : the outlet that you're plugging the firestick into is dead.
