Why the fuck are Laverne Cox and Jazz Jennings in this?
I was intrigued until I saw them and some of the other talking heads.
Nope.

Will the death of Judy Garland be covered in detail?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 24, 2019 12:58 AM |
That was the year my dad died. Think I will pass. ☹️

Tonight will be about the woc who helped us get to the moon. Wasn't there a movie about that a couple years ago?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 24, 2019 1:06 AM |
Been there, done that.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | April 24, 2019 1:07 AM |
This brings me back to when I was a young whippersnapper. I was 14 years old then. Good year.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 24, 2019 3:25 AM |
Chappaquiddick. Or we would have had a radically different Presidential history.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 24, 2019 3:29 AM |
Noticed no one was interested, so I didn't watch it either.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 24, 2019 3:31 AM |
And if they all jumped off the roof would you do that too?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 24, 2019 3:35 AM |
1968 was more transformative. I guess it was more important to pick the year of the moon landing rather than take everything else into account.

[quote]Why the fuck are Laverne Cox and Jazz Jennings in this?
Seriously?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 24, 2019 3:40 AM |
The previews looked awful.
Pass.

The Manson Murders.

I saw the Apollo 11 episode tonight and thought it was excellent.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 24, 2019 5:21 AM |
R13, I am chagrined at not remembering that one.
And I'll add: Altamont. 12/06/69.
R10, You are arguably correct about 1968: MLK; RFK; Democratic Convention and the Chicago 8; protests about Vietnam; 1968 Mexico City Olympics; the Tet Offensive;....
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 24, 2019 5:31 AM |
R1, when I saw Laverne Cox in the previews I knew they were going to transwash Stonewall. I'll withhold my opinion until I see the episode but interviewing Laverne and Jazz does not bode well for a true re-telling of Stonewall.
As for tonight's ep, I agree with R14. It was interesting the way they included old recordings of NASA techs gossiping about Ted Kennedy's dip in the lake.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 24, 2019 5:39 AM |
r15, thank you for agreeing with my indisputably true statement.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 24, 2019 5:46 AM |
Woodstock!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 24, 2019 11:28 AM |
Transwall veterans Laverne Cox and Jazz Jennings *rolls eyes*
I read that it was a trans WOC that threw the first punch at Altamont the previous year, clapping back against the Hells Angels.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 24, 2019 11:44 AM |
Tonight's ep deals with Stonewall. Jazz Jennings and Laverne Cox are featured so I suppose we won't get the women's perspective on this episode...
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 22, 2019 2:03 AM |
R20 here, they were featured in the promo at the beginning of the ep but it looks like it's about Woodstock tonight.

Is the documentary about a year or a sex position?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 22, 2019 2:13 AM |
Three songs seemed to be on the radio all the time that year -
Aquarius (The Fifth Dimension)
Sugar, Sugar (The Archies)
Dizzy (dont' remember the artist)

They're doing LGBT now.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 22, 2019 2:19 AM |
When did drag queens become Trans?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 22, 2019 2:21 AM |
Laverne is now saying the drag queens were Trans but they were afraid to say they were trans.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 22, 2019 2:28 AM |
Jazz Jennings saying Tran WOC were the most marginalized in the LGB community and they "stood up the most." Gay erasure happening right now on network television in living color.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 22, 2019 2:31 AM |
I give up
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 22, 2019 2:32 AM |
Trans WOC are the only ones to have done anything in history, god bless them.
fuck these cunts
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 22, 2019 2:33 AM |
I had no idea this show had already aired.
Oopsie.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 22, 2019 2:36 AM |
Were there any actual gay men or lesbians interviewed for this?
This transwashing of history absolutely fucking pisses me off.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 22, 2019 2:39 AM |
It's on now until 11:00 EST.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 22, 2019 2:41 AM |
Were there any trans on the moon landing?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 22, 2019 3:56 AM |
Someone drew a wig on Neil Armstrong's space helmet, R33. An artist's rendering because Trans (esp. WOC) were at the forefront of space technology but the meanie gays altered history and took credit for the moon landing.

Tonight Stonewall/Woodstock. It’s a pretty good series. One or two episodes left of the six.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 22, 2019 4:22 AM |
[quote]fuck these Frankencunts.
Fixed it.
