One second, one million years.

Do you ever sit and think about how one second is a verrrrrrry long time and how one million years isn't a very long time at all? A lot can happen in one second and a million years ago is nothing in terms of a lot of things, like age of the galaxy and the universe. It's amazing really.

Sounds like good weed.

Things can change in less than a second but it can take a million years for other things to change. An asteroid can hit the earth and destroy everything in a second, same with an atomic blast..but...it can take a million years for that asteroid to form and travel through space to get here. You know?

Maybe it's all an artificial concept meaning nothing. Or, everything. It depends.

1 million seconds is 11 and 1/2 days, 1 billion seconds is 31 and 3/4 years, and 1 trillion seconds is 31,710 years, 6 times longer than recorded history.

Question: When is a minute not a minute? Answer: When someone asks, "Do you have a minute?"

I get sad when I think that in a few billion years, the Earth will be vaporized and nothing left. You think that either having kids or writing a book or doing something important will be your legacy when you die- so it's a way to "live on".....but everything will eventually be gone so there really isn't any kind of permanent legacy for anyone.
