Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Really Moving to Africa?
If you thought Frogmore Cottage was a big move for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, you’d better prepare yourself for their next relocation. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are expecting their first child any day now, are debating taking a major trip in the future, and it will be a significantly longer commute from London.
Prince Harry and Meghan are considering a six-month visit to Africa, said royal reporter Rebecca English in the Daily Mail. The Sunday Times first reported that the Sussexes were thinking about a two- to three-year stay there, but English claims it’s more of a sabbatical and a “likely scenario” that could occur sometime in the next few years. Her behaviour is essentially getting them exiled. She is one toxic cunt. Harry has had access to endlessly better looking, richer, less problematic women. What the fuck does he see in her beyond the mixed race gimmick?

Obviously fake.
1. She’s about to give birth.
2. They just spent a fortune renovating Frogmore. Bad optics to spend so much taxpayer money then abandon it.
3. The original ST article doesn’t say they’re being sent to Africa, it Africa is one of various options being discussed.
4. The original story keeps changing. It was 2-3 years now it’s six months?
5. The article says even if this idea (sounds like quite a vague idea) comes to pass, it won’t be for a few years. I know the trolls are fantasising about Meghan chasing a newborn around a slum, but even if it happens it won’t be for a few years. Anything could happen by then, and when the Queen dies it will upend all existing plans.
6. The original article stinks of William (the fact an article about H&M shoehorns in praise for W), and Wills doesn’t have any say in what happens to H&M. He’s still only second in line and the monarchy may not survive his father.
7. The rumour has gone down very badly here in Britain, it’s perceived as horribly colonialist and the fact they refer to “Africa” as though it’s a single place is raising a lot of eyebrows. Just one rumour in one newspaper has caused bad PR, it’ll be a PR nightmare if they go through with it.
H&M will probably do six months in some country or other in a few years, depending on how long the Queen lives and what happens with the Cambridges, but there’s no way they’re going to let themselves be exiled to some random place for years. They are both far too stubborn and pushy and neither Wills nor the courtiers have the power to make them do anything.

It'll never happen.
Additional security costs of protecting them in South Africa or Botswana will kill the idea. Plus he's not going out there with a young baby.
He won't be made Governor General of Commonwealth country either. So he's stuffed about what career path he chooses.

Buckingham Palace Just Issued a Statement About Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Possible Move to Africa
Well, officials at Buckingham just broke their silence and issued a statement on the matter, in which they all but confirmed a plan like this was or is in the works.
“Any future plans for The Duke and Duchess are speculative at this stage,” the statement from BP read, according to royal reporter Richard Palmer. “No decisions have been taken about future roles. The Duke will continue to fulfil[l] his role as Commonwealth Youth Ambassador.”
While The Sunday Times suggested Markle and Prince Harry’s move is due to their growing fame and popularity, it seems The Daily Mail refutes this stance and claims the move would be a choice made by the Sussexes and with approval from the queen in order to see their work with the Commonwealth Trust (as well as humanitarian and environmental conservation concerns that they hold near and dear) continued.
“[The royals] sent [Harry and Meghan] down to Frogmore to try to keep them out of the limelight for a bit. This is doomed to fail,” one of the The Sunday Times sources claimed. “They are worried that Harry and Meghan are going to establish a totally separate enterprise that nobody can get under control.”
“There are discussions in palace circles about how do we harness Harry and Meghan and this tremendous global attention they get,” the source continued. “How do we draw them back, because laying down the law and ticking them off doesn’t work at all.”
Now, take this with a grain of salt because these sources remain unnamed. [bold] But if Buckingham isn’t flat out denying the reports, you can bet your bottom dollar (er, pound) it’s been discussed as an actual possibility.[/bold]
Whatever the case, we’re just here for the Baby Sussex updates… (*Checks phone ten more times*)

They really are uptight about this little mixed race baby coming aren't they?

Massive PR own goal from William.
Notice how the backlash to this story has them on the back foot. Suddenly it’s not “they’re being exiled for two years” it’s become “a few months at Harry’s request.”
Funny how no one remembered the taxpayer expense until they did a 180 and decided to blame Harry.

Buckingham Palace is backing away from the Africa nonsense. The idea that in 2019, a pampered white guy of marginal intelligence/work experience and an American actress can help "save" Africa is a colonial trope. The optics of "white saviors" are so distasteful. In fact, none of the royals have much to offer any African nation.
Well, perhaps Prince Andrew would be able to work with women who have been sex trafficked, as he does have some experience with that population.

You know, I hate MM, but if they were sent there to focus on the poaching/mass animal extinction problem, they could do an enormous amount of good keeping it in the news and raising money.

Bit like Diana and Land Mines R13?
Apparently Harry now works on furthering the progress of the Ottawa Treaty and Diana's legacy in specifically this area too.
**fuck me - 20 years on, and still only one third of Angola's mines have been removed.

Yes OP. They are going to bless the rains down in Africa. Harry and Megan are going to take some time to do the the things they never had.

R12 "Perhaps Prince Andrew can work with women who have been sex trafficked ". And Megan can help by sending them affirming and inspiring bananas.

Hilarious. Andrew has a long history of extremely dark involvement with paedophilia, child rape and sex trafficking and the general public and media looks the other way.
Meghan does something completely harmless and just slightly eye rolling and everyone acts like it’s a major scandal.
Tells you everything you need to know about some people.

Wouldn’t it just be too delicious if the grasping and bad American actress who set her sights on marrying a prince and living a life of endless luxury in London ends up in Africa!?

Brilliant. They should do it.

She’s not going to be “exiled” anywhere. The whole thing has been a massive PR backfire and made William look like an idiot.
William can stomp his little feet all he likes, he’s probably not going to be King for decades and he has no real power until then.

Absolutely. They could continue doing a lot of good for people there. Harry and Megan are humanitarians and this would help their brand.

Shouldn't they be more concerned about Brexit rather than the idiocy of a dim witted prince and an American grifter-cunt?

In OP’s photo Meg looks like she has a sneaky smile. Something is not right with her. This will not end well.

I'm not denying william is an asshole but it seems suspect to me that since meghan has joined "the firm" all has changed and become hostile and nasty. I'm just thinking logically.

This is a huge gossip world fiction created by Meghan fans. For example, check out that fool at Celebitchy - Kaiser. She has been demonizing Kate and glorifying Meghan for ages now. I'm unsure if it stems from the fact Meghan is being portrayed as the underdog because she's part black and people want to seem to cheer her on because of that. Whatever, Meghan was a real climber who was on a trading up campaign and snagged a dumb prince who was not seen as quite the catch Americans think he is. Perhaps they will be very happy and really that's all that matters. These manufactured feuds are to sell gossip and because some people need the drama.
