When I visited Belfast, I finally understood why my great grandparents got on a boat and got the fuck out of there as soon as they were able to. They never went back, not even to visit. After my second day in Belfast, I thought "every day my great grandparents woke up in America for the rest of their lives, they must've thanked God that they never had to see Belfast ever again."
