Is 55 too old Coachella?

My friend was there and his Instagram Is full of shots of him cavorting with 20’somethings. He still looks great but I’m wondering if he embarrassed himself.

Humiliating

by Anonymousreply 1Last Monday at 5:50 AM

As long as he's rich

by Anonymousreply 2Last Monday at 5:52 AM

Can he pass for 37? Is he attending with a much younger partner?

by Anonymousreply 3Last Monday at 5:53 AM

Not if he's got money

by Anonymousreply 4Last Monday at 5:54 AM

Are you jealous, OP?

by Anonymousreply 5Last Monday at 5:55 AM

Enjoy life while you can.

by Anonymousreply 6Last Monday at 5:56 AM

Making a fool of yourself is sad. Many people mocked him, but he was probably too drunk to notice.

As mentioned above, money can be a mitigating factor.

The other 2 are a big dick and/or really good drugs.

by Anonymousreply 8Last Monday at 6:01 AM

Oh who cares! Enjoy life!

by Anonymousreply 9Last Monday at 6:02 AM

Mid-life crisis.

by Anonymousreply 10Last Monday at 6:11 AM

Enjoy what you like! Fuck everybody else who tells you what you can/cannot do.

by Anonymousreply 11Last Monday at 6:16 AM

I remember when I was young and old guys (like 35) would show up.

We weren't hateful, just puzzled.

by Anonymousreply 12Last Monday at 6:19 AM

Hey if it makes him happy go for it, however at 55 he really should be beyond such things.

by Anonymousreply 13Last Monday at 6:21 AM

So he's out enjoying his life and doing what he thinks is fun and you're.... home wondering about his life and if he's embarrassing himself.

by Anonymousreply 14Last Monday at 6:21 AM

I think r14 has it down pat!

by Anonymousreply 15Last Monday at 6:23 AM

It depends on how old he looks. If he looks 55 then yes, he should be embarrassed. If he looks 35 then maybe not as embarrassed. If he looks 25 then there’s no problem.

by Anonymousreply 16Last Monday at 6:45 AM

We're going to need to see the IG pics to truly judge for ourselves, OP.

by Anonymousreply 17Last Monday at 6:48 AM

That's a very suitable age for Coachella

by Anonymousreply 18Last Monday at 6:50 AM

Doesn’t matter what you think OP if he’s having fun. I hate the fakeness of Coachella with the heat of a thousand suns but if that makes him happy nobody should be embarrassed by him or for him.

by Anonymousreply 19Last Monday at 6:53 AM

A lot of people on DL are scared to live and enjoy life.

by Anonymousreply 20Last Monday at 6:53 AM

Truth! DLers as a whole seem very fearful.... of everything.

by Anonymousreply 21Last Monday at 7:02 AM

Embarrassing to who? Why are you judging? EXACTLY what R14 said.

by Anonymousreply 22Last Monday at 7:03 AM

If you're of a certain socioeconomic class, societal norms and or rules do not apply.

by Anonymousreply 23Last Monday at 7:06 AM

Does your friend hate gay people? Because the billionaire owner of Coachella uses your friend’s money to support anti gay groups.

by Anonymousreply 24Last Monday at 7:09 AM

Pretty sure the friend's motivation is to be around guys like these, not to 'hate gay people':

by Anonymousreply 25Last Monday at 7:12 AM

Is he having fun and you’re not?

by Anonymousreply 26Last Monday at 7:16 AM

Sad that he thinks he still fits in with that crowd. But I hope I’m equally oblivious to shame when I get to be that age.

by Anonymousreply 27Last Monday at 7:33 AM

55 is to old to be worried about what others think of you.

by Anonymousreply 28Last Monday at 7:35 AM

Wasn't Madonna 55 when she embarrassed herself at Coachella?

by Anonymousreply 29Last Monday at 7:41 AM

[quote]55 is to old to be worried about what others think of you.

A-fuckin-men.

55 is only too old if you’re in a box already. If not, who gives a shit. Enjoy life while you’re here.

by Anonymousreply 30Last Monday at 7:51 AM

Coachella is a daft event full of celebrity worshipping, try hard influencers. It used to be very cool but now it's all Kardashians and Z list celebs.

by Anonymousreply 31Last Monday at 7:53 AM

Um isn't the guy who runs Coachella in his 50s? Also, who cares.

by Anonymousreply 32Last Monday at 8:03 AM

I think the real question is not: is 55 too old to go to Coachella? The real question is: is 55 too old to constantly post your Coachella photos on social media?

by Anonymousreply 33Last Monday at 8:06 AM

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 34Last Monday at 8:09 AM

People who post selfies need to die.

by Anonymousreply 35Last Monday at 8:09 AM

R28, 55 is to old to be worried about what others think of you?

Guess what I’m thinking about you right now!

by Anonymousreply 36Last Monday at 8:14 AM

[quote]Is 55 too old Coachella?

Not if he can pass for 26.

by Anonymousreply 37Last Monday at 8:17 AM

Bless his heart

by Anonymousreply 38Last Monday at 9:19 AM

Let him live. Who cares?

by Anonymousreply 39Last Monday at 9:24 AM

Coachella...you couldn't pay me to go.

by Anonymousreply 40Last Monday at 10:31 AM

Good for him! Who cares what people think, let him have his fun.

by Anonymousreply 41Last Monday at 10:33 AM

Yes it is. I don't know why ANYONE would go this garbage. r40 ditto.

by Anonymousreply 42Last Monday at 10:35 AM

If your friend is 55 he’s from the generation that created events like Coachella. Fuck what the young sheep think. They really aren’t as interesting as they think they are. That said, I’m not sure I’d want to be surrounded by them for any length of time.
