I need to lose 10 lbs in less than a month.

The question is, how?

Help.

by Anonymousreply 41April 15, 2019 3:33 AM

Cut off your leg, OP. The bones alone must weigh at least 15 lbs.

by Anonymousreply 1April 13, 2019 9:44 PM

Slice off a leg.

by Anonymousreply 2April 13, 2019 9:44 PM

It may be a stupid question, R2, but I'm desperate. I have a do to attend and I was pretty lazy all winter.

by Anonymousreply 3April 13, 2019 9:45 PM

If you haven't already done so, cut all sugar out of your diet. Eat lean protein and fresh veggies and get your flabby ass to the gym!.

by Anonymousreply 4April 13, 2019 9:51 PM

OP, your "do" sounds like a "don't."

by Anonymousreply 5April 13, 2019 9:51 PM

If you want to lose just 10lbs in a month you'll have to do the following:

1) Drop all sugar from your diet. You can use sugar-alcohol sweeteners like stevia/erythritol etc. though. 2) Drop refined carbs - things like potatoes, pasta and we're on the fence about rice too. 3) Fast for 1 to 3 days. Seriously that moves you into Ketosis and you drop weight fast.

by Anonymousreply 6April 13, 2019 9:51 PM

A spoonful of psyllium twice a day with lots and lots of herbal tea. That's 1-2 kg of impacted shit alone. The other 3-4 kg are going to be harder. You need to burn off more in day than you consume, that's all there is to it. Running, swimming, spinning... every other day, would be my advice.

Also, good glycemic control is a must. Not just in this instance, but just in general.

by Anonymousreply 7April 13, 2019 9:52 PM

Serious answer: Eat less and move more.

Depending on how much your starting weight it, it's possible to lose 10lbs in two weeks.

by Anonymousreply 8April 13, 2019 9:54 PM

That’s easy. Stop eating carbs and do cardio for 30 minutes 3-4 times per week.

by Anonymousreply 9April 13, 2019 9:55 PM

I'm gonna try! In fact, I'm going out for a run right now! Wish me luck.

by Anonymousreply 10April 13, 2019 9:59 PM

Exercise won't do much, OP. It's all diet. No sugar and no carbs.

by Anonymousreply 11April 13, 2019 10:04 PM

Boiled asparagus and broiled chicken. That's it for all meals. And, walk, walk, walk.

by Anonymousreply 12April 13, 2019 10:14 PM

r6 aka LuciferTheLightBringer posted excellent advice.

A caveat though: controlled dieting, getting your nutritional needs met with restricted caloric intake will likely result in a loss of less than 2 pounds per week.

The early weight you lose from fasting, diet and exercise is water weight. The energy source the body turns to once it runs out of its relatively small store of carbohydrates (sugars) is glycogen. Glycogen is a large molecule made up of a protein core surrounded by glucose subunits. It's stored in the liver and muscles for use during energy-intensive activities, like running away from danger and supporting the brain when food is scarce. Glycogen can be quickly metabolized to meet the body's need for glucose, but each gram of glycogen is bound to three to four grams of water. So, if you use up your body's glycogen stores (as when dieting or with prolonged exercising), a lot of water is released over a short amount of time.

How fat are you OP?

If you're say 5'10" and weigh 220 lbs then 10 lbs is nothing

If you're 5'10" and want to go from 165 to 155, that's a lot tougher

by Anonymousreply 14April 13, 2019 10:42 PM

Replace 1-2 meals a day with a good protein shake with no added sugar. I personally like to use pea protein, it helps me shit and I don't tolerate whey very well, but you may want to experiment with different kinds. I like this one with 8g of fiber, but Whole Foods has some good choices too.

Fast 16 hours per day, eat 8.

Breakfast: nothing

Lunch: salad with protein

Dinner: greens with protein.

Snacks: boiled eggs, nuts, cheese, olives.

by Anonymousreply 16April 13, 2019 11:27 PM

Look up Prolon it’s a five day mimicking fast. If you can stick to the kit you will lose and keep off 5-10 pounds and it changes how you eat moving forward.

by Anonymousreply 17April 13, 2019 11:50 PM

Carry just one hambone in your snack purse. That way you won't be tempted to eat both.

Check your library or amazon for Bob Harper's book "Jump Start to Skinny". It's not meant to be a long term plan since it's about 800 calories however unlimited greens so really a bit more than 800. The recipes are really good and filling (Chicken Salad w/apple), I recall making a couple of the recipes even after I went off the plan.

Eat nothing

Then do HIIT at gym.

You will lose 15 lbs

Snake diet/salt water fasting

by Anonymousreply 21April 14, 2019 12:40 AM

No sugar.

No alcohol.

Use a fit bit and do at least 10 miles a day. You should be walking on your lunch hour and then go to the gym every day after work and SWEAT.

No over eating.

by Anonymousreply 22April 14, 2019 12:43 AM

Why arent you bitches mentioned meth or Adderall yet?

by Anonymousreply 23April 14, 2019 12:46 AM

Cocaine

by Anonymousreply 24April 14, 2019 12:51 AM

Eliminate all soda and fast food. I lost 50 lbs in 3 months that way.

[quote]Exercise won't do much, OP. It's all diet. No sugar and no carbs.

Exercise is the most important part unless you're a bulimic chick.

And try not to linger in an enclosed space.

by Anonymousreply 27April 14, 2019 1:05 AM

Breakfast: "Greek" yogurt (before departing for the day); upon arriving at your place of work, a flat bread roll with chicken, a lot of romaine lettuce, and delicious Dijon mustard; mid-morning snack: hard boiled egg; lunch: a green salad with chicken, kidney beans, and just a sprinkle of sunflower seeds; afternoon snack; Rye Krisp crackers with Baby Bell cheese (two crackers, one cheese); before departing work for the day, another "Greek" yogurt.

Lots and Lots and Lots and Lots of WATER throughout the day: select a brand that includes electrolytes/potassium. Otherwise, you'll be flushing out needed electrolytes/potassium.

And hope you won't also have a massive coronary.

If it’s really that important and you’re lazy, cocaine is a sure bet.

The baby was just born and you're leaving her at the fire house door?

by Anonymousreply 32April 14, 2019 2:45 AM

[quote]Eliminate all soda and fast food. I lost 50 lbs in 3 months that way.

Clearly you were having way too much fast food and soda. But there's a lot of crap one can eat that is neither soda nor fast food, so as general diet advice, this is pretty useless.

by Anonymousreply 33April 14, 2019 5:43 PM

Cut your head off.

by Anonymousreply 34April 14, 2019 5:44 PM

Two words Metamucil and enemas. Enjoy being a spontaneous bottom while you walking around clean and empty.

by Anonymousreply 35April 14, 2019 5:53 PM

I'll bite. Why do you need to lose 10 pounds quickly?

by Anonymousreply 36April 14, 2019 5:54 PM

No sugar, no flour. Nothing white, if you can help it.

by Anonymousreply 37April 14, 2019 5:58 PM

Liposuction

by Anonymousreply 38April 14, 2019 6:31 PM

Enemas are very effective and a wonderful way to pass the time

by Anonymousreply 39April 14, 2019 7:28 PM

Juiceria and tea-tox.
