[quote] I am not in any way facetious or even mean spirited when I say that the ONLY poster I have ever read in almost ten years of being a DL regular who seemed more deranged and mentally ill than the he/she above who feels that a MAGA hat is the universal sign of evil was Vester Flanagan.
MAGA is not a universal symbol. Nor did I claim that it was. It is an international symbol. Trump is hated throughout the US, and has inspired a huge amount of hate and resentment abroad. He ran his 2016 campaign on white supremacy and little else. MAGA for most outside of the Republican Party is essentially a symbol of hatred. Whether you are willing to admit that or not; it is true. Your claims are just absurd and you continue to ramp up your pearl clutching level of hysteria. You and your Vester Flanagan bullshit are just a bunch of way over the top Trump/MAGA nonsense.
Poll: Majority says Trump has emboldened racists to speak out
More than half of American voters believe President Trump has helped encouraged people with racist beliefs to express them, according to a new survey.
A Quinnipiac University poll published Tuesday found that 54 percent of voters believe Trump “has emboldened people who hold racist beliefs to express those beliefs publicly.”
The results of the survey closely mirror the results from another Quinnipiac University poll published July 3. That poll found that 55 percent of voters believed Trump had encouraged people with racist beliefs to be more open with them.
Seventy-eight percent of Democrats in Tuesday's poll said Trump has emboldened people with racist beliefs, compared to just 25 percent of Republicans who said the same.
85% of Black women and 81% of Black men have felt disrespected by Donald Trump. Only 8% of Black voters believe Trump has a positive impact on Blacks, and 29% believe he has a negative impact.
89% of Black women, 83% of Black men, and 50% of white voters believe Trump’s statements and policies will cause a major setback for racial progress
91% of Black women, 86% of Black men, and 50% of white voters believe Trump and the GOP are using toxic rhetoric to divide the nation
82% of Black women, 76% of Black men, and 45% of white voters believe Trump and the Republicans are normalizing sexism and sexual harassment against women.
The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll released Wednesday found 57% of Americans — and almost half of all whites — believe Trump is racist. More than 80% of African Americans and more than 75% of Hispanics said he was racist.
The poll found 57% thought the Trump administration’s policies have been bad for Muslims, and 56% said they were bad for Hispanics. Almost half said his policies were bad for African Americans, although that number was 75% among African Americans polled.
There is a stark partisan difference: 85% of Democrats believe Trump is racist, while only 21% of Republicans agree, the poll found.
About half of those polled — including about two-thirds of African Americans — agreed that race relations were getting worse since Trump took office. More than 90% of African Americans disapprove of Trump’s job performance and think the country is headed in the wrong direction, the poll found.
