Will I get to be the Angel of Death again?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 21, 2018 4:00 PM |
is it no longer possible to have a day without LMM's name being mentioned?
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 21, 2018 4:02 PM |
sigh.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 21, 2018 4:10 PM |
Can either of them dance?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 21, 2018 4:13 PM |
Supporting cast: Ann Reinking! Chita! Liza! Paddy Chayefsky (wtf?) Hal Prince! Joel Grey! Shirley MacLaine!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 21, 2018 4:24 PM |
LMM is like a bad rash.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 21, 2018 4:30 PM |
Chayefsky was Fosse's best friend. They met in 1959 and bonded over baseball. Fosse tap danced at Chayevsky's funeral in 1981.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 21, 2018 4:32 PM |
Interesting, r9.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 21, 2018 4:39 PM |
[quote] Joining them as series regulars are Tony winner Norbert Leo Butz a Paddy Chayefsky and Margaret Qualley as Ann Reinking. Aren't there more than one threads on this series already ongoing?
Regardless, I like you r11. I assume you're following the Ann Miller thread?

Will Fosse/Verdon be PoC rappers ?
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 23, 2018 3:17 AM |
Will they cover Fosse’s sexual abuses and harassment?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 23, 2018 3:27 AM |
[quote]Fosse tap danced at Chayevsky's funeral in 1981.
He literally danced on his grave?
Here's the trailer:

Sam's thinning combover makes it unwatchable.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | March 2, 2019 2:04 PM |
Gwen had a granny voice, even as a young'un. Never cared for her speaking/singing voice. Her dancing, on the other hand...
by Anonymous | reply 18 | March 2, 2019 2:16 PM |
Another yawn-inducing str8 washing of a non-hetero man. Yawn again. He was a manly he-man hetero lady killer I tell you!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | March 2, 2019 2:23 PM |
R19 lol dude no one has seen the whole thing yet.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | March 2, 2019 2:34 PM |
I don't think Fosse was gay. He was always fucking around with women.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | March 2, 2019 2:39 PM |
I didn't say he was gay, r21. I said he was not straight.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | March 2, 2019 2:48 PM |
How do you know?
by Anonymous | reply 23 | March 2, 2019 2:49 PM |
R22 are you one of those insufferable 'bi erasure' people that has infested the Internet lately?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | March 2, 2019 2:51 PM |
It's like you really get me, r24.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | March 2, 2019 2:55 PM |
Oh, jeezus.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | March 2, 2019 3:34 PM |
All I care about is, who gets to play Irene Ryan?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 14, 2019 7:58 PM |
[quote] Sam's thinning combover makes it unwatchable.
Bob Fosse HAD a thinning comb-over IRL, hon.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | March 14, 2019 7:58 PM |
Bob's thinning combover was blondish-red in hue and blended with his skin color, so it wasn't as distracting as Sam's dark brown combover.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | March 14, 2019 8:03 PM |
I have a friend who is going to be in this as Joan McCracken.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 14, 2019 8:04 PM |
Maybe he was overcompensating, R21.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | March 14, 2019 9:44 PM |
No matter how you slice it, Bob Fosse was NOT a physically attractive man in the 1970s. He was losing his hair, coming it over unattractively, and he dressed terribly. All the constant chain smoking and the alcohol and drugs were doing a terrible number on his skin. And despite his lifetime of dancing, his body did not look very attractive at this point in time either. Plus he dressed for shit.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | March 14, 2019 9:49 PM |
More of Fosse in the 1970s. Keep in mind he was not even fifty when this photo was taken.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | March 14, 2019 9:52 PM |
It's funny because Fosse was hot when he worked for MGM. But it's as if his skankiness burned all the attractiveness out of him as he aged. That's a rough 40s.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | March 15, 2019 1:49 AM |
There's no one listed on IMDb playing Roy Scheider though I assume they are going to cover All That Jazz.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | March 15, 2019 5:58 AM |
Only in the world of DL can a notorious womanizer be considered secretly gay or bisexual.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | March 15, 2019 6:51 AM |
Homely but talented to the point of revolutionary. Which would you choose?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | March 15, 2019 7:39 AM |
fuck no.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | March 15, 2019 7:47 AM |
2 packs a day, heart attacks galore...creepy
by Anonymous | reply 40 | March 15, 2019 7:48 AM |
This rather long out-take says Fosse was awful
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 5, 2019 10:58 PM |
blerg
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 8, 2019 4:50 PM |
Premiers tonight!
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 9, 2019 9:28 PM |
I'm looking forward to this
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 9, 2019 9:36 PM |
Fosse was not handsome but he was sexy
by Anonymous | reply 47 | April 9, 2019 9:57 PM |
Hope it’s good.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 9, 2019 9:58 PM |
Tonight, in 13 minutes!
by Anonymous | reply 49 | April 10, 2019 1:48 AM |
How is it so far?
by Anonymous | reply 50 | April 10, 2019 1:55 AM |
I cant hardly wait
by Anonymous | reply 51 | April 10, 2019 2:02 AM |
So far I’m bored and annoyed. It’s pretentious.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | April 10, 2019 2:17 AM |
Rockwell just doesn't have the sex appeal like Scheider had.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | April 10, 2019 2:18 AM |
And Scheider was much sexier than Fosse.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 10, 2019 2:19 AM |
Is this the OFFICIAL thread?
Lin Manuel Miranda is broadcasting on Periscope during the commercial break
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 10, 2019 2:20 AM |
Not casting Sam Rockwell's wife(?) Leslie Bibb as young Jessica Lange is a missed opportunity.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 10, 2019 2:24 AM |
Father Fosse -- Norwegian Catholic.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | April 10, 2019 2:25 AM |
Jesus, does Miranda never sit down and shut up?
by Anonymous | reply 58 | April 10, 2019 2:27 AM |
I've been watching Fosse and Verdon's dance routine "Who's Got The Pain?" from "Damn Yankees." God, they were amazing.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 10, 2019 2:28 AM |
That was Paul Reiser? Yeesh.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | April 10, 2019 2:39 AM |
It's hard to take any of you guys seriously when you say, "Fosse was gay or bi." He was a notorious pussy hound.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | April 10, 2019 2:41 AM |
How do you make Bob Fosse boring?
This is not very good.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | April 10, 2019 2:41 AM |
Too bad All that Jazz isn’t streaming somewhere.
Sam Rockwell gives me the creeps.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | April 10, 2019 2:44 AM |
r61, it was one poster claiming that, not the whole site, so quit it with the "you guys" crap
by Anonymous | reply 64 | April 10, 2019 2:46 AM |
Follow R59's lead. You won't go wrong.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | April 10, 2019 2:47 AM |
I usually find Michelle Williams really stiff, emotionless and dead in the eyes, but I'm liking her as Gwen. She has a nice spark.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | April 10, 2019 2:48 AM |
Yeah, r63. For me, All That Jazz said it all about Fosse. And Scheider was brilliant and you were completely drawn to his version of Fosse.
I just want to run from Rockwell. No sexual appeal, no playfulness.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | April 10, 2019 2:48 AM |
Is Jack Cole mentioned?
by Anonymous | reply 68 | April 10, 2019 2:58 AM |
Pail Reiser is such a sexy and cranky old man in this, I LOVE IT!!!
by Anonymous | reply 70 | April 10, 2019 4:53 AM |
This show should be DL catnip! Where is everybody?
by Anonymous | reply 71 | April 10, 2019 6:23 AM |
Sam's hair is all shaved and styled for the movie, people. Jeez Louise.
After watching Episode 1, and even being a major SR fan, I'm thinking his Fosse is simply a toned-down version of his Chuck Barris, complete with "Sam Rockwell dance turns" and continual cheating on his Main Squeeze.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | April 10, 2019 11:14 PM |
Maybe he will get better in the next episode. He seems really lost.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | April 11, 2019 12:07 AM |
Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
