Gay Celebrities You Can't Stand.

What gay celebrity or internet personality can you not stand? For me, it's that vacuous (literal)whore Chris Crocker.

by Anonymousreply 168March 1, 2021 4:56 PM

Most of them.

But, especially everyone on both versions of Queer Eye.

Insufferable fame whores with HORRIBLE taste in their so called fields of expertise.

Oh, and Andy Cohen.

NPH

by Anonymousreply 2December 14, 2018 9:34 AM

Dan Savage's Husband Terry although he's more of a steroid bloated sex toy than an actual celebrity.

by Anonymousreply 3December 14, 2018 9:45 AM

Harvey Fierstein

by Anonymousreply 4December 14, 2018 9:50 AM

That formerly tubby midget Seacrest.

My life is not complete, I suppose. I don't hate any of these people.

Well, Terry Miller...you call that a husband?

by Anonymousreply 8December 14, 2018 10:39 AM

After loving him I’m starting to seriously dislike Billy Eichner, he’s such a self-righteous finger wagging SJW. I’m I’m a lefty (still just about)

by Anonymousreply 9December 14, 2018 10:40 AM

Andy Cohen is a big one as well as that traitorous little troll Harvey Levin.

by Anonymousreply 10December 14, 2018 11:35 AM

How has nobody mentioned Frankie Grande? He's the fucking worst with that road hard face but still trying to look like a twink, everything about him is so extra in all the worst ways

by Anonymousreply 11December 14, 2018 11:44 AM

Colton Haynes. Though that may be stretching the definition of celebrity.

by Anonymousreply 12December 14, 2018 11:45 AM

"Colto" is a DLebrity, r12.

by Anonymousreply 13December 14, 2018 11:50 AM

Don’t really understand the hate for Coltan

by Anonymousreply 14December 14, 2018 12:01 PM

Elton John - seems like a total queeny asshole

by Anonymousreply 15December 14, 2018 12:16 PM

I don't hate on gay people, but some annoy me because of their attitude, like Rupert Everett.

by Anonymousreply 16December 14, 2018 12:18 PM

Lee Pace (TURD)

Billy Eichner, ruined what could have been a very good Metallica interview

by Anonymousreply 17December 14, 2018 12:19 PM

Elton John is a very well known hateful bitch R15...ask his husband.

by Anonymousreply 18December 14, 2018 12:20 PM

Peter Thiel.

by Anonymousreply 19December 14, 2018 12:26 PM

As a gay man, I find so many out male celebrities either totally dull, or just kind of loathe them. Why is that?

Plus, why are so many out gay celebrities really ugly? They're all 5's or worse. Why is that?

Also (by comparison), male celebrities who are rumored to be gay but aren't out seem so much more interesting than out ones. Why is that?

by Anonymousreply 20December 14, 2018 12:28 PM

Peter Theil and Harvey Levin aren't celebrities R19 they are corrupted trash that has turned on their own for money and power.

by Anonymousreply 21December 14, 2018 12:37 PM

I think David Burtka seems sweet and more appealing actually than NPH. But I've only seen him interviewed on talk shows; perhaps those who know him have a different perspective.

by Anonymousreply 22December 14, 2018 3:50 PM

Wow. Over 20 replies, and no one has mentioned the vilest of all? MILO!

by Anonymousreply 23December 14, 2018 3:52 PM

R23

Is he truly a gay?

Or a celebrity for that mater?

by Anonymousreply 24December 14, 2018 3:54 PM

I don't think of Milo. Ever. Until someone brings him up here. Another DLebrity.

by Anonymousreply 25December 14, 2018 8:46 PM

Ellen for me. It just bugs me that from multiple and repeated stories over the years, she is a complete bitch and a terror to her staff on her show. Just a complete opposite of what she portrays on camera. I know there are probably a lot of people like that, and they would piss me off too.

Andy Cohen just seems super slimy, which isn't itself a big thing for me, but to be so slimy on basically a national stage. Ugh.

by Anonymousreply 26December 14, 2018 8:52 PM

Frankie Grande and Perez Hilton

by Anonymousreply 27December 14, 2018 8:56 PM

Ellen recently fired two writers who asked for a raise and she's pulled this shit with other staffers.

by Anonymousreply 28December 14, 2018 8:58 PM

I wonder if Karen Kilgariff has any stories about what a monster Ellen is, she was a writer on the Ellen show when it first started but then left pretty soon afterward.

by Anonymousreply 29December 14, 2018 9:11 PM

Love your run-on sentences, r29, how do you do it, it is so good.

by Anonymousreply 30December 14, 2018 11:36 PM

Awww, Thanks R30 I guess it comes to me naturally, like your cunty personality.

by Anonymousreply 31December 15, 2018 4:40 AM

Yes I can’t stand Frankie Grande too! Sam Smith I don’t hate but I don’t like him as much as I used to.

by Anonymousreply 32December 15, 2018 11:54 AM

Aaron Schock.

by Anonymousreply 33December 15, 2018 12:22 PM

R30, if you're going to carp about someone's grammar failures, then don't commit one yourself when doing so. R29 did write a SINGLE run-on sentence, but not "sentences." His sentence, while indeed a run-on, consists of only two clauses which needed to be separated by a semi-colon or a period where the comma is located. If he were truly writing run-on sentenceS, there would need to be two or more in the form he wrote (i.e., two separate run-ons, each containing two clauses), or a single run-on consisting of three or more clauses.

Because of this "cuntiness plus failure" episode, you do indeed qualify for inclusion in the current DL thread "Please give an example of an awful person," and, coincidentally, fulfill that OP's definition: someone who thinks they are smarter than they really are.

Best wishes for a grammatically improved day to you...

by Anonymousreply 34December 15, 2018 12:24 PM

I love everyone listed here. I want them all over for fondue. Funny, fun, hot, talented, brilliant, messy in interesting ways, all around spicy meatballs. Every one. Even the fights would be fun to watch. You remove these core ingredients from the crowd and the taste would be gone. And Perez's genuine understanding and appreciation of Hanson's talent and hotness gives him an A+ for maverick, unapologetic good taste in my book.

by Anonymousreply 40December 15, 2018 3:37 PM

I never understood the adoration of Elton John. For decades I've hated his music because the lyrics are unintelligible . But I figured that was just my taste in music (or lack thereof). When he sang at Rush Limbaugh's wedding is when I actively despised him.

Johnny Weir and Adam Rippon. Both of them are thirsty and arrogant, a little too thirsty and arrogant for two skaters without OGMs. Or even world titles.

Jeffree "Star" (no you're not, you racist little white bitch)

And if NPH is in [italic]Matrix 4[/italic] then he is dead to me and I hope David Burtka dumps his ass for yelling at their children

I'm also getting sick of Rachel Maddow since she insulted Pete Buttigieg

by Anonymousreply 57December 25, 2019 4:05 PM

I avoid Rufus Wainwwright . I hate his drone of a voice, his mediocre songwriting, but mmost of all his insistance that he is the reincarnation of JS Bach.

by Anonymousreply 58December 25, 2019 4:13 PM

Andy Cohen Andy Cohen Andy Cohen

by Anonymousreply 59December 25, 2019 4:16 PM

r39 I used to love Courtney. I saw her on Drag Race and became a big fan. Then I watched her on Big Brother UK and I was still loving her through most of that but by the time she won something changed and I couldn't stand her anymore. Not sure what changed, I have no idea why but I just didn't buy her "act" anymore.

by Anonymousreply 60December 25, 2019 4:22 PM

I really don't have an opinion on most of those mentioned so far, but most are apparently assholes. I WILL say that two gay celebs I DO like are Jonathan Geoff and Matt Bomer. Oh, and I also like Sarah Paulson and Wanda Sykes.

by Anonymousreply 61December 25, 2019 4:27 PM

Ross Mathews really gets on my nerves. It's as if he's constantly competing for Queen of the Queens with that voice of his.

R50 took my two so I'll just agree......Johnny Weir and Adam Rippon......hate is a strong word, so I will say annoyed by and/or ....no hate is the right word.

by Anonymousreply 63December 25, 2019 4:30 PM

Chris Colfer

Will say that Zack Quinto is a great guy, at least back in his Hero days he was.

by Anonymousreply 64December 25, 2019 4:35 PM

The queer eye guys are great, especially in the new incarnation. Surprised some don’t like them.

by Anonymousreply 65December 25, 2019 4:39 PM

Jonathan Van Ness is fucking obnoxious and gross.

by Anonymousreply 66December 25, 2019 4:42 PM

R65: That word is hate speech, but to follow the original series up with "for the Straight [sic] Guy" is to reinforce heterosexual supremacy by calling heterosexuality "straight" and homosexuality a derogatory term that means odd or abnormal.

R66 added another good example. We don't need any self-hating gay men thinking they can renounce homosexuality by renouncing manhood. There is no opt-out clause for either one.

Seriously, enough is enough. The q-word offends me more than the f-word at this point.

by Anonymousreply 67December 25, 2019 4:44 PM

Wikipedia lists this under "stereotypes" yet it doesn't use hate speech in its title. This should have been a bigger hit. It also should have been on HGTV instead of Comedy Central.

And I'll add Cheyenne Jackson to the list. I can NEVER look at him the same way again after seeing him kiss that gross creeper on the mouth, and IT had some kind of herpes but didn't inform Cheyenne.

by Anonymousreply 71December 25, 2019 5:05 PM

Oh, please! Queer is not hate speech. Queer is cool and has been for years. I can’t vouch for the status of “queer” when the original series ran, but queer has never been more in than now.

How are you offended by a word that literally represents the LGBTQ community and binds us all together?

by Anonymousreply 72December 25, 2019 5:07 PM

Billy Porter, Great in Pose.... but leave the act there

Gus Kenworthy. Brandon Urie. Connor Jessup and that Miles thing. Frankie Grande. Ezra Miller. All YouTubers whose only claim to fame is being gay.

by Anonymousreply 82December 25, 2019 6:15 PM

Andy Cohen is the worst.

Stephen FRy is a sociopathic pedophile defending other pedos and grasping desperately for a place in higher society where nobody wants him.

Frankie Grande is just scary and I would be terrified to meet him in person. Comes across as the most vapid, vile narcissistic Mary! in history.

Not a fan of Graham Norton either. He just grates on me. Same goes for Jimmy Fallon (is he out yet? I forget.)

by Anonymousreply 83December 25, 2019 6:17 PM

Not really much of a celebrity, but does anybody remember that narcissist Bryan Hawn, the one who was in his undies lipsynching to pop songs?

[quote] queer has never been more in than now. How are you offended by a word that literally represents the LGBTQ community and binds us all together?

So says WHO? Ask most gay men and lesbians and they'll tell you to shove the word "queer" up your ass. We're not queer, we're gay, and we didn't choose to be called queer, it was forced upon us by a bunch of straight people who weren't feeling special enough so they had to invent a term for themselves to crash our group without actually qualifying for it.

Fuck queer.

R88 speaks the truth. The q-word is derogatory today, was derogatory yesterday, and will be derogatory tomorrow, and trying to str8splain it away by claiming a false sense of solidarity with self-loathing self-mutilators makes it even more derogatory.

I am a gay man. I am not an imitation woman, nor a q---r. I am only attracted to sexual partners with the same sexual organs as myself. That is the literal definition of homosexuality, not wearing cheap pink sparkly crap made in Chinese sweatshops or voluntarily enduring the worst of Cher's post-Sonny Bono output.

Ellen Page. Good god she is insufferable. She is unfortunately what people would call an SJW (and I hate to use that term but it's pretty suiting for her). She throws fits over the dumbest things. For example that whole thing with Chris Pratt attending a homophobic church or whatever. Even though it's pretty clear that Pratt is himself pro-gay/LGBT, she still hammered him just for attending a church that happens to have anti-gay leanings. Uh, the church doesn't speak for him, ma'am.

Then there was that time she dismissed Ivanka Trump's "Happy Pride Month" tweet back in 2017. That got me fusing. You would think that she would be a little bit more welcoming of conservatives wishing the queers some goodwill. Aren't pro-gay right-wingers a GOOD THING!? Aren't THOSE the ones that we should be changing the hearts and minds of? She makes the gay community look really bad.

Gus Kenworthy is kinda annoying too, for the same reasons (he also gave Ivanka Trump some flack), though he's not nearly as insufferable.

by Anonymousreply 114January 9, 2020 9:50 PM

[quote]that Pratt is himself pro-gay/LGBT

by Anonymousreply 122December 22, 2020 11:25 AM

I get some of the emotion here, but judging by this list, it seems that there are no gay celebrities who are safe at Datalounge. Then we bitch and moan when a “celebrity” won’t come out.

Maybe OP should have left out the word gay, and we’d still get some of theses names on here just because they’re disagreeable people, not because they’re gay.

by Anonymousreply 123December 22, 2020 12:45 PM

Kevin Spacey.

First, he plays the same roles over and over. Just my opinion, but it seems like he only plays smug, condescending, sarcastic, holier-than-thou creeps. I noticed this around SEVEN, THE USUAL SUSPECTS, A TIME TO KILL. Second, with all his accolades and awards and prestige, he still played coy about his sexuality till at least his 50s. Sometimes he actively denied being gay, even after his mother sort of outed him. Third, he only came out publicly in an effort to deflect media coverage from the charges of sexual misconduct and assault became public. Fourth, he's never seemed to me like a good or kind person.

by Anonymousreply 131February 16, 2021 8:31 PM

The word “celebrity” is being thrown around extremely loosely here, but Chris Crocker, Andy Cohen, Frankie Grande, and Colton Haynes all come to mind.

by Anonymousreply 132February 16, 2021 8:35 PM

Oh, and I don’t even consider any female as a gay “celebrity.”

by Anonymousreply 133February 16, 2021 8:36 PM

[quote] I never liked Elton John. I disliked his songs because many of the lyrics are unintelligible and then after he sang at Rush Limbaugh's wedding I really wanted nothing to do with him.

He lost me after he defended Eminem, and so did Madonna.

What about gay celebrities who can’t stand?

by Anonymousreply 139February 17, 2021 8:04 PM

Cheyenne Jackson; nice face, corny name but, I assume, major issues

by Anonymousreply 140February 17, 2021 8:44 PM

Ricky Martin just gets more narcissistic and ridiculous with age. Social media is not your friend Ricky. You’re too old to be posting selfies.

by Anonymousreply 141February 18, 2021 11:14 AM

Chris Colfer

R140 - I used to think Cheyanne Jackson was hot until I found out he’s 5 feet tall. I’m not attracted to short men.

by Anonymousreply 143February 18, 2021 11:22 AM

Gary Janetti’s Instagram act has grown tired for me. I do find it funny though that after several years of skewering Meghan Markle, he abruptly stopped after posting a BLM black square and hasn’t gone near her since.,

Cheyenne Jackson is 6'3 R143

Which makes him a poser in addition to being a hack complicit in reviving every negative gay stereotype in the book.

Agree with R37 Jesse Tyler Ferguson. What a smug troll he is.

by Anonymousreply 149February 19, 2021 3:05 AM

Carson Kressley (The original "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy")

by Anonymousreply 150February 19, 2021 4:02 AM

God there’s so many I despise. Dare I say all of them? Gay celebrities just INSIST upon being fawned over. Using the word celebrity loosely, I’d say Don Lemon is at the top of the list of most despicable. What a sack of dog excrement.

by Anonymousreply 151February 19, 2021 10:14 AM

Perez Hilton and Andy Cohen.

by Anonymousreply 152February 19, 2021 10:29 AM

Antoni Porowski

Agree with R51, I believe Rosie used to be a VJ on either MTV or VH1 years ago. I never found her interesting or amusing. To me, she seems like a smug untalented bully. Sarcastic and condescending about talented musicians, angry with people who don't agree with her.

Not that I'm a fan of his, and it's just my opinion, but I think Rosie helped generate the flames of Trumpmania and Trump Fascination years ago when she was on THE VIEW. Her needless pointless needling of Donald Trump pushed both of them in to the 24 hour news cycle.

by Anonymousreply 154February 19, 2021 12:18 PM

Rosie was the host of Standup Spotlight on VH1 for years.

Not a huge celebrity but Laganja Estranja. I like most gay people but she is too loud and too annoying for me. Fuck her drag.

Add Ian McKellan to the list, and not just because of his complicity in [italic]Cats[/italic]. I am not a q---r you limey cracker!

Andre Leon Talley

by Anonymousreply 157February 27, 2021 6:15 AM

I could well have lived life happily never knowing who Andre L. Talley was, but that disturbing picture in the thread of his that I couldn’t get rid of led to finally read it and now I wish I didn’t know who he is.

[quote]Ellen Page.

She's anti-gay if she'd rather be a man than a lesbian. Fuck her, fuck her stupid self-loathing schtick, and fuck the untalented breeder hacks who enable it by cheering her on.

by Anonymousreply 160February 27, 2021 7:13 AM

As creepy and despicable as Jeffree and Shane are they actually seem to have talent, but that grotesque creature Ryland or Rylant or whatever that is a boyfriend to Shane is a talentless hack with no personality or redeeming features.

Wonk Eyed Whore Andy Cohen. Granny Ellen..Americas (self proclaimed) Gay Couple Pete and Chastina..Dustin Lance Black..Todrick Hall..Every Drag Queen Youtuber.

R114 TIL about Ellen Page. Until I read your informative post I didnt know who she was, now I dislike her

Also dislike Bryan Singer.

Apart from the above two, I dont actively dislike any of the others mentioned in this thread. A few of them have not always shown good judgement. So what, we're all human and everyone fucks up sometimes. It takes a lot to make me actually hate someone, rather spend my energy on something else

by Anonymousreply 164February 27, 2021 9:35 AM

Add k.d. lang to the list for her Instagram pronoun shit. Go back to Canada, you self-hating hoser!

by Anonymousreply 165March 1, 2021 4:34 PM

Davey fucking Wavey.

by Anonymousreply 166March 1, 2021 4:54 PM

He did underwear photoshoots with Scott Herman. The wrong one turned out gay.

by Anonymousreply 167March 1, 2021 4:56 PM

Jodi Foster...mainly because of her defense of Mel Gibson, who is a first class bigot.
