DL Catnip!
Cybill was canceled because I wouldn’t sleep with Les Moonves, claims deluded ego monstress

Oh good god. He could have done far better than that fat cow.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 13, 2018 5:14 PM |
I totally believe her.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 13, 2018 5:45 PM |
She's a crazy cunt. Everybody hated her. Almost as psychotic as Roseanne and Brett Butler.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 13, 2018 5:47 PM |
I hate these strong women. Bunch of psychotic bitches. I prefer strong men. So manly, such authority.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 13, 2018 5:50 PM |
I bet Christine Baranski prefers them to Cybill, R4!
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 13, 2018 5:57 PM |
The show was canceled because the ratings went down, although I can buy that Moonves was a creep to her
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 13, 2018 6:00 PM |
I am surprised she waited this long to spill her guts.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | December 13, 2018 6:12 PM |
Whatever she is, I believe this.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 13, 2018 6:14 PM |
She hinted at this years ago but didn't name him directly. I believe her. Also if you look at the ratings of her shows last season it was 50th ahead of The Nanny and Murphy Brown on the same network. Also quite a few CBS shows well below hers in that season that on this list were renewed.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 13, 2018 6:26 PM |
I believe her, just as we know he did the same to Sharon Gless.
It was a power thing with him.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 13, 2018 6:59 PM |
Yes, she's nuts, and a terror to work with. I have friends who could tell stories for days.
But she's telling the truth about Moonves.

I wonder, how many actresses or singers have been called “difficult” or “crazy” because they refused sexual advances....
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 13, 2018 7:07 PM |
Christine Baranski will always be safe from these particular indignities.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 13, 2018 9:10 PM |
She wrote about it in her book almost twenty years ago, except she didn't name his name.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 13, 2018 9:11 PM |
Yes R5 ! Christine Baranski is who made us all realize that strong men in authority are preferable to cybill. The world is grateful to this one woman and her experience.

I don't think the answer is Cybill for link in R17 The crying actress was pitching a show but Cybill's show was already on CBS when this happened? I think when Linda Bloodworth's story was printed a few months ago the general consensus was it was Sharon Gless?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 13, 2018 11:55 PM |
R18 Yes, you have it right, I was about to post the same.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 14, 2018 12:08 AM |
I am just going by Blind Gossip.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | December 14, 2018 12:14 AM |
It' was already "solved" before: It was Melody Anderson, who played a detective on Jake and The Fatman. Her looks, age, bio and time line (she left CBS in the year in question) all fit like a glove. And she is living a private life now so wants to remain anonymous.

The show sucks. They are playing old episodes on Laff . The intro song is whiny and annoying, no wonder it was canceled.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | December 14, 2018 1:19 AM |
I never liked her on TV (or in the movies), but she was beautiful as a model in the 70s.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 14, 2018 2:03 AM |
It is called the best sitcom of the 90s in the description of the DVD box on amazon here in Germany, I think there is some truth to it. It was also the first show of Chuck Lorre and the second of openly gay Alan Ball, so it helps understand their shows better. r17 I guess that Designing Women woman had nothing to do with that show.

r24 - president of the German Shepherd Fan Club.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 14, 2018 11:33 AM |
I believe her, for real.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 14, 2018 11:49 AM |
Cybill was a much better show than the vapid The Nanny. Dreschers voice alone....

Watched the documentary of the making of the Orson Welles film The Other Side of the Wind called They'll Me When I'm Dead and Orson Welles clearly didn't think much of Cybil.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 14, 2018 12:19 PM |
Chuck Lorre had no problem with her apparently.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 14, 2018 4:47 PM |
Given how long it lasted despite poor ratings, I'm guessing she's missing a "keep" and "-ing" from her claim.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 14, 2018 4:52 PM |
I wonder if she’ll try to insert herself into the “Bull” scandal since it’s produced by her old ‘Moonlighting’ producer Glenn Gordon Caron.

[quote] I have friends who could tell stories for days.
I usually hate long-winded friends like that.
