All she did was scream.
Aretha Franklin wasn’t that good.

Heard her sing live not too long before she died and she still had her high notes.

She was a bombastic singer but she WAS good. Lady Soul.

You make me feel....AHHHHHHHHHHHHH you make me feel....
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 13, 2018 2:35 AM |
She could be brilliant, and if was inspiring to hear her just kill it in her later performances.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | December 13, 2018 2:42 AM |
As time went on Aretha got sloppy and did too many remakes of other songs. But she was still good in her own way.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 13, 2018 2:45 AM |
Yeah, I hate to ageee, but I do.
What she had was a distinct voice. So you never wondered who was singing that song. There aren’t too many vocalists nowadays who have that. In the olden days you knew it was Stevie Nicks or Frank Sinatra or Barbra Streisand or Mad Bob Smith.
Now, who stands out?

Before fame struck, before she found and hit her stride
by Anonymous | reply 8 | December 13, 2018 2:52 AM |
She was the best for the first few years, then her voice got ugly and strained.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 13, 2018 3:04 AM |
The screaming came later in her career. She started out amazing
by Anonymous | reply 10 | December 13, 2018 3:08 AM |
She was amazing but cable news covered her funeral on par with H W Bush's. Neither deserved a WEEK of coverage, but a week for a music entertainer is ridiculous.

Blasphemy! Listen to young Aretha: You make me feel like a natural woman.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 13, 2018 3:16 AM |
Singing IS controlled screaming
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 13, 2018 3:20 AM |
Apparently Aretha was letting people know that she was a wet nurse back in the day.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | December 13, 2018 3:30 AM |
Revolta ruining something again.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 13, 2018 3:30 AM |
And why not? It must have been agony with those massive mammaries trying to break free of her body
by Anonymous | reply 18 | December 13, 2018 3:35 AM |
She's wearing a Chinese rice bowl with a ribbon attached to it on her head.

OP is obviously in desperate need of some attention tonight. The best of the best loved, admired and praised Franklin’s vocal talent. She achieved international fame because of her vocal talent. Other than being one of tonight’s more idiotic trolls. What exactly have you achieved?

I wonder how much nice black cock she had in her life, and what was the biggest she took.

Her daddys r22
by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 13, 2018 3:58 AM |
Aretha WAS the QUEEN....everyone knew it and everyone treated her as such.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 13, 2018 3:59 AM |
Wasn't Mahalia Jackson better (or just as good) and Aretha got a lot of Jackson's career when Mahalia died pretty early?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 13, 2018 4:06 AM |
Her boobs were insane. How did she walk around with jugs that big?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 13, 2018 4:08 AM |
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 13, 2018 4:12 AM |
Aretha always had weight fluctuations, but she didnt hit the Obese range until the last 20 years....and even then it fluctuated. The boobs were a result of the massive weight gain....and loss.

Aretha was the best. I loved her early 70s style. This was her coolest look and her sexiest sound. And voice was still intact so it didn’t sound like screeching.

And Aretha’s voice set the tone for the powerful diner scene in ‘Moonlight’. They couldn’t have picked a more perfect song.
