She did a really excellent job today. She raised 5 kids and she's heard every excuse there is. She also knows how to deal with a kid in a bratty mood. There were some out there, including a woman on Chuck Todd's show (and maybe someone on Nicolle Wallace's show) who were shocked, shocked that she used the word "tinkle" and made comments like she did. She's probably the one who has saved us from a government shutdown by labeling it the Trump Shutdown after he said he'd shut down the government if he didn't get his wall.

No one else in the House has her strategic skills. I think today clinched her win for the Speaker position. She is 6 years younger than Orrin Hatch and 7 years younger than Chuck Grassley, both of whom I would consider fossils, not solely because of age. I don't think her age is an issue in her case, because she is so energetic and competent.
