How will he deal with gay rumors that have followed him for decades?
Eat my pussy.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | November 26, 2018 12:47 AM |
Be open and honest which is rarely not done in politics.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 26, 2018 12:48 AM |
The gay accusations, OP? How embarrassing for him.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 26, 2018 12:53 AM |
I think that "Spartacus Moment" will cause him far more political damage than being gay. He's too much of a drama queen to be taken seriously.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | November 26, 2018 12:54 AM |
He will stand next to Dwight Howard to appear less gay.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | November 26, 2018 12:55 AM |
I love Cory
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 26, 2018 12:56 AM |
It would be a hurdle sadly, if people refuse to vote for him simply because there wouldn't be a "first lady" in the White House.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 26, 2018 12:57 AM |
As a Canadian I can tell you that Cory Booker is not going to be a serious contender in the next American election.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 26, 2018 1:01 AM |
If gay rumors don't do him in, getting boners for white women will kill the black vote.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | November 26, 2018 1:02 AM |
His ties to big pharma will be the bigger obstacle.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | November 26, 2018 1:03 AM |
r9, you're probably right which is ironic. If not for a white woman, their hero-- Barack Obama wouldn't exist.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 26, 2018 1:08 AM |
He can get hard for this white woman any time, any place
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 26, 2018 7:09 PM |
Cory Booker is definitely GAY!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 26, 2018 7:47 PM |
What about the sweating?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 26, 2018 7:57 PM |
He's a really bad actress.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 26, 2018 7:58 PM |
He's pretty far up Cleo Wade's skinny ass for a gay guy...
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 26, 2018 11:22 PM |
What R4 said.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 26, 2018 11:34 PM |
he s not going to get very far in his presidential ambitions..................too many skeleton s in the closet.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 27, 2018 1:01 AM |
Think he hooked up with Andrew Gillum?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 27, 2018 1:23 AM |
How will he deal? Well, as he always has. Coyness. Denial. And, it will work. He still has at least another title milestone to achieve. Maybe not POTUS, but some other executive cabinet position.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 27, 2018 1:37 AM |
I really sort of doubt that he may be gay....and in spite of my being black I really thought his cross-examination of the Home Land Security Director was way over the top....I was concerned about that sort grandiose display....Why keep after him if he doesn't want to be gay...he isn't that great looking after all. . but he is smart and has done some commendable things....Did anyone see him with Prince Louis Gates as they sought Booker's white Louisiana relatives who were almost gleeful to claim kinship?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 27, 2018 2:10 AM |
Beto for president, Cory for VP. Both are passionate. Michael Moore says we need a superstar. They are IT!
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 27, 2018 2:14 AM |
We've already reached peak negro. No thanks.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 27, 2018 2:18 AM |
r23, Watch your back. Karma will find you in them streets, bITCH.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 28, 2018 6:31 AM |
Beto will be the frontrunner. I doubt Cory has anything to worry about.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | November 28, 2018 7:12 AM |
He's currently polling between 3-5%. He's not going anywhere. He is riding the idea of socialism a little too hard with the baby bonds. It will never fly on the national stage. He's also a part of that 2016 catastrophe (surrogate for Hillary, can be seen as a corporate Democrat) so I really think his time has passed. America is looking for something new- and Beto is young, progressive without forcing it, and a new voice.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | November 28, 2018 4:38 PM |
Um, news flash: Beto LOST. We don't need a loser as the nominee. Everyone else under consideration has WON.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | November 28, 2018 9:15 PM |
No one gives a fuck that he lost by 3% points to Cruz in Texas. If he repeated his performance in Texas in all fifty states (% of Democrats, Republicans, and independents he won in TX), he would win over 350 electoral votes.
Beto has the most momentum behind him, and that’s all that matters. You’re a moron, R27.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 29, 2018 2:19 AM |
The "gay rumors" are only at the Datalounge. Enough said.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | November 29, 2018 2:21 AM |
I want to believe he - and Kamala Harris - could make a winning ticket.
But Trump beat Cruz and Cruz beat Beto. That will make him a harder sell.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | November 29, 2018 2:37 AM |
A harder sell to whom? Democrats? Or do you think the general population, after suffering through Trump, will look at Beto and despite all his charisma, positivity, inspirational message, height and good looks, remember that he narrowly lost to Ted Cruz and go, “Oh, nah, that guy is a LOSER, I’m gonna vote for four more years of Trump and all that comes with that” ??
by Anonymous | reply 31 | November 29, 2018 2:41 AM |
Yeah...because America loves its Zodiac Killer!
No one outside of Texas (and many people in TX, apparently) cares about Ted Cruz. Beto is the best hope of the Democrats. Compared to Donald Trump, he's like the Second Coming of Christ at this point.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | November 29, 2018 2:57 AM |
There have been comments here that Cory has been confronted by gay new jerseyans about being so closeted, to which he responded that he was doing what he had to do to be elected.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | November 29, 2018 3:12 AM |
Obama wasn't a black candidate. He was a once-in-a-generation genius campaigner. He wasn't that great a President. He thought everybody should love him just like the adoring crowds did. He figured the GOP would learn to love him, too. Big mistake. Obama came from Hawaii (blue state) and ran for the Senate against a joke (Alan Keyes) in a solid blue state. Not that hard, folks. Beto is a once-in-a-generation genius campaigner but, unlike Obama, he doesn't come from a blue state and failed by 2.4% to be elected in a solid red state. He is no doubt a lot more realistic because of this.
If he chooses to run, he'll take the nom. But I really have my doubts that he will run. For 2 solid years, he drove to every damn county and little town in Texas. He gave almost 400 Town Halls. I think he's exhausted and I think the loss broke his heart.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | November 29, 2018 6:56 PM |
I agree about Obama, R34. It took him two and a half years to understand that the Republicans were not going to fawn all over him. His presidency got better after that, but if you were at the Datalounge in 2010, you would have read dozens of people post how they "fell for it" - the Obama hyperbole during the campaign, and how they couldn't vote for him again (they did later).
How people like to fawn over the good campaigner, the charismatic fresh face makes me nervous as hell. I know this is the new normal, but I long for the days when people preferred the seasoned pro over the neophyte. I doubt Beto will run unless he's chosen as the VP running mate.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | November 30, 2018 2:10 PM |
No, he's from fucking NJ! Nobody from NJ should be anywhere near the white house.
He's gay af. Can't you see? You need your eyes checked.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | November 30, 2018 2:22 PM |
Democrats fall in love. Republicans fall in line. Nobody's in love with Booker and everybody's in love with Beto.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | November 30, 2018 5:19 PM |
Booker is in love with Booker.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | November 30, 2018 6:02 PM |

I suggest he just suck it up.

"Nobody's in love with Booker and everybody's in love with Beto."
This month. Next!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | November 30, 2018 7:44 PM |
Nobody will ever be in love with Booker. I bet his mother thinks he's annoying too.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | November 30, 2018 8:36 PM |
He's an interesting human being. I get a lonely vibe from him most of the time. Yesterday he IGed his trip to Costco, where he purchased broccoli, Diet Coke, water and chocolate, and socialized with store employees. Later, he rode home with his security person/driver, lamenting his purchase of a large jar of minced garlic. I'm not trying to down single people here (I am one), but this is probably why most of America would prefer a married President. Then again, part of my Saturday night consisted of watching his IG story. So there's that.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | December 3, 2018 2:36 AM |
R31, a harder sell to party strategists who recognize that the election will be decided by white people in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
And that is banking on a high turnout of people of color to boot.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | December 3, 2018 10:42 PM |
Booker is not it.
Deval Patrick is the one to look out for. It seems the Obamas, Valerie Jarret, and Axelrod are grooming him behind the scenes.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 3, 2018 10:52 PM |
Patrick works for Mitt Romney. He's the ultimate corporate Dem. No way.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 3, 2018 11:32 PM |
At Stanford was he ever ogled by the math professor who was just acquitted of ogling, or was that only the wrestling team?
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 3, 2018 11:42 PM |
I think his being vegan might be more of a handicap. Cory is an amazing guy, really smart and kind, but how is vegan going to play when he goes to the pig farmers in Iowa, or the beef ranchers in Texas?
by Anonymous | reply 48 | December 3, 2018 11:45 PM |
I don't think the gay rumors are relevant anymore. Look at Senatrice Graham. There are openly gay people in politics now. I don't think it will be an issue.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 3, 2018 11:56 PM |
I hate to sound pathetic, but I understand some of the comments about Booker. He seems alone and whether he is gay or not is still to be debated. I Have shopped like the posting, although I m not a senator, being a smart, black intellectual who has some political opinion is, well it isn't that easy. I don't think he is gay, I may be wrong. In many ways, I am cut from the same cloth as him ...but Deval on the other hand is for me very exciting. Though an Obama colleague ..he and his wife Diane are very different than the Obamas and worthy of serious consideration. I babbled, I know ….
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 4, 2018 1:53 AM |
Is having a first lady really important? I know it's been a tradition, but what do they really do.... besides going on diplomatic duty trips and saying "Be best."? Eleanor Roosevelt was probably the most relevant, effective first lady that I can think of. The others had their place, but they were mostly a visual.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | December 4, 2018 7:16 AM |
R51, it's not to me personally. Although a record number of LGBT folks were elected in this most recent mid-term, we also still live in a day and age where bakeries can refuse same sex wedding cakes, and the kim davis's of the world can refuse marriage licenses. Even if Corey Booker were to come out as gay and be married to another guy - conservatives heads would explode at the notion of him being President, and having a first guy as his partner instead of a first lady. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, though.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | December 4, 2018 8:39 AM |
Booker is notoriously a "corporate Democrat" backed by Big Pharma. He doesn't stand a chance.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | December 4, 2018 1:41 PM |
R52, Those people are out. Big difference. If Booker is gay, he needs to stop the charade. It is nothing but a lie. I don't know if he is gay or straight. In general, he comes across as fake, and this isn't helping. One minute he's single and sad about it, the next he's been dating someone for years. People don't like being lied to. Between this, his flip flopping (massive corporate love while in Newark and now he's a "progressive") and his theatrics, I think it's safe to say that his ship has sailed. With the loony in the WH, America doesn't want any more bad actors. We just want a normal person who isn't a headline whore.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | December 4, 2018 5:39 PM |
He should marry Shawn Mendes. That would make them both wildly popular again and he would win in a landslide!
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 4, 2018 5:43 PM |
Cory Booker is too grandstanding and phony
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 5, 2018 10:32 PM |
Yeah. Booker makes you feel ill-at-ease. So much acting and he's a terrible actor.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 6, 2018 12:13 AM |
Agree that there is something disingenuous and grandstanding about Booker.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 6, 2018 12:43 AM |
Im not in love with Beto/I ignored the Cruz Beto thing, but I wouldnt be opposed to it..........I do see a hell of a lot of potential for Eric Swalwell also
Booker doesnt have a shot at the presidency,,,,,,where he is now he can get away with being a closet case, if he is one.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | December 6, 2018 2:31 AM |
When you're single and the President, you have to decorate with the giant red scary Christmas trees all by yourself. America feels a certain way about this.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | December 6, 2018 6:11 PM |
Google Cleo Wade Cory Booker they did some poetry thing together and WaPo thinks they're together. What must Chanda Gibson, GF of -6 years, think?
by Anonymous | reply 62 | December 13, 2018 9:30 PM |
He should just come out. It's not healthy what he's doing
by Anonymous | reply 63 | December 13, 2018 9:31 PM |
He's not that attractive up close. Not ugly, but not the hot man people claim. From a distance he looks much better.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | December 13, 2018 9:33 PM |
Didn't Deval Patrick say he's not running in 2020?
by Anonymous | reply 65 | December 13, 2018 9:55 PM |
The Rock's problem, too.

Cory talks out of both sides of his mouth, in one example: taking up for Mitt Romney and Bain Capital "The president’s attacks on Mitt Romney’s record at private-equity firm Bain Capital were “nauseating” and made him “very uncomfortable.”
