Strange collective animal names
"Whether it's a shrewdness of apes or a zeal of zebras, lots of animals have bizarre names when they cluster into crowds."
What would be some modern collective names for today's world, not limited to animals? A groan of Deplorables? A Lesbian of secrets? A soy of vegans?

Why did these collective animal names develop? Why not just refer to them as a group?
