She shouldn't be doing this. There's a reason she's only back on tour now. She needs the money. However, her body can't handle it. While she may have come off the painkillers (may have being the key words), if she continues on with this tour, she will get re-hooked on them and she will die of an overdose. Hopefully, someone tries to explain to her why she never should have undertaken this tour in the first place before it's too late. I'm sure there are other ways for her to make money that don't involve performing or judging talent.

Her music and performance style are very dated in that Vegas-meets-MTV-meets-urban aesthetic pioneered by Madonna when dinosaurs still roamed the planet. It was crap the first time around and it's still crap - only this time it's fronted by an old lady with back issue. Poor Paula. If she had actual talent she might be able to do a cabaret/lounge act but no - the painful route is unfortunately her only option.

Paula, Paula, Paula. I've probably posted this before but I worked with her about 15 years ago. She, for whatever reason, is just an emotional mess. I became her best friend for the month and it was constant codling and consoling. She has talent and doesn't have a mean bone in her body. She's extremely fragile.
