People Who are Too Stupid to Live

People who believe in Astrology.

by Anonymousreply 168October 25, 2018 2:46 AM

People who are not rich and yet support the Republicans and their platform.

by Anonymousreply 1October 16, 2018 1:06 AM

The unfortunate answer is most people.

by Anonymousreply 2October 16, 2018 1:12 AM

Unashamed, avid fans of the shitcom Three's Company. They absurdly like to claim it's really high art, one of them recently said Shakespeare would've loved it. Not quite, you just have extremely bad taste and limited intelligence.

by Anonymousreply 3October 16, 2018 1:12 AM

People who think saunas allow you to “sweat out the toxins”.

by Anonymousreply 4October 16, 2018 1:35 AM

People who don't pick up their dog shit while out walking.

Usually they're too busy smoking too.

by Anonymousreply 5October 16, 2018 1:47 AM

People who follow religion.

by Anonymousreply 6October 16, 2018 1:48 AM

People who don't shouldercheck when they change lanes on a highway

by Anonymousreply 7October 16, 2018 1:50 AM

people who believe that trump is a good leader

by Anonymousreply 8October 16, 2018 1:53 AM

People who talk about death and consciousness like they are fucking know it alls. Couching their superstitious wishful thinking with pseudoscientific jargon like “raising one’s frequency” or “life energy” or a “loving universe” and always staking their happiness in their “next life.” Grow up, idiots. God is Santa for adults, and your current miserable life is the only one you will know.

by Anonymousreply 9October 16, 2018 1:54 AM

I don't follow astrology, OP but tides are regulated by the Moon and we're chock full of fluid, so it's not a totally outrageous perspective to think the position of large bodies in the universe could influence how we feel and behave.

by Anonymousreply 10October 16, 2018 2:16 AM

The conspiracy nuts who believe the earth is flat. They type in all caps and call people who disagree with them "sheeple."

by Anonymousreply 11October 16, 2018 2:32 AM

Did you see the story on Sunday Morning on CBS this past weekend, R11? Jesus. Not only shouldn't they be allowed to vote, they shouldn't be allowed to procreate, drive, teach, or be on social media.

by Anonymousreply 12October 16, 2018 2:35 AM
People who follow religion.

People who think that being atheist means being more intelligent than people who follow religion.

by Anonymousreply 13October 16, 2018 2:40 AM

R12) Thanks, I will look for it. I'm a shiftworker, so I missed it.

by Anonymousreply 14October 16, 2018 2:44 AM

It's the cover story at the beginning of the show, R14.

by Anonymousreply 15October 16, 2018 2:47 AM

r13

by Anonymousreply 16October 16, 2018 2:48 AM

People with their eyes glued to their phones while navigating big city pedestrian traffic, particularly those who cross the street while peering into their screens.

It must be great knowing how you'll meet your end.

by Anonymousreply 17October 16, 2018 2:56 AM

I have 5 incurable personality disorders and a lowIQ. I couldn't even kill myself properly.

by Anonymousreply 18October 16, 2018 3:01 AM
People who think that being atheist means being more intelligent than people who follow religion

And?

by Anonymousreply 19October 16, 2018 3:59 AM

R10 Astrology is about the position of the planets on a made-up date (the calendar has changed) dictating all your attributes for the rest of your life.

by Anonymousreply 20October 16, 2018 2:34 PM

R20 Some people believe it has to do with the "pushes and pulls" of star bodies aligning at certain times and their influence on human bodies and fetal development on Earth, the influence of abundance of certain foods vs. scarcity during certain harvest periods on fetal development and the mother's behavior that impacts fetal development.

I don't agree with all of it, I don't follow it myself but I can understand how some see a sort of logic in the system.

by Anonymousreply 21October 16, 2018 2:46 PM

R20 Also, I do think people touting Zodiac "personalities' are selective with who they choose to represent ideal versions of signs.

However, I also think that cultural traditions that influence food consumption can have an impact on fetal development and that could have something to do with how a child thrives or adapts. For instance, at what trimester is a Mother consuming rich Holiday season food and does it have a particular impact on that stage of development?

In what weather is she less likely to eat certain rich foods or even feel like eating at all and during which trimester did this occur? Did she eat a lot of pumpkin, spices, berries, etc?

by Anonymousreply 22October 16, 2018 2:52 PM
Did she eat a lot of pumpkin, spices, berries, etc?

And don't forget pumpkin spice lattes!

by Anonymousreply 23October 16, 2018 2:57 PM

People who spend a 3 week vacation driving around England.

People who eat squirrel brains.

by Anonymousreply 24October 16, 2018 3:02 PM

People who are religious

by Anonymousreply 25October 16, 2018 3:21 PM

Maybe atheism isn’t the final arbiter on how intelligent people are, but I respect them more because they tend to think for themselves rather than allowing an imaginary white guy in a beard and robe to determine how they should live their lives.

Oh, and fraus who scrapbook. Or who think Carnival Cruises are the ultimate way to travel.

by Anonymousreply 26October 16, 2018 3:55 PM

People of all ages and backgrounds who want to go to law school to "make a difference".

by Anonymousreply 27October 16, 2018 4:00 PM

Has no one mention r10 yet?

by Anonymousreply 28October 16, 2018 4:02 PM

Every Deplorable who voted for Donald Trump.

by Anonymousreply 29October 16, 2018 4:06 PM

No one has yet, R28.

We will has mention it later, for you.

by Anonymousreply 30October 16, 2018 5:27 PM

I don't want to pick on the Atheists specifically but you're expressing disdain for the alleged unoriginal group-think of every religious person from every religion, while most of you are repeating the same phrases to describe your positions, sometimes word for word. Just an observation.

And if y'all want to debate about tides and Moon stuff, bring it. Don't think I won't -- or can't! -- fools. Some people have to learn the hard way. Raw, rammed knowledge. But I don't initiate the unwilling.

by Anonymousreply 33October 16, 2018 6:59 PM

Madonna fans!

by Anonymousreply 34October 16, 2018 7:12 PM

R31 - So are saying that anyone who believes in absurdities, as being true, are not idiots?

Nearly every dumb person is an idiot, and SOME intelligent people can also be idiots. Disdain? Yup. And talk about projection when accusing atheists of repeating phrases word for word. . .

by Anonymousreply 35October 16, 2018 7:48 PM

Theists are morons. Abject morons. They shouldn't be allowed to make life choices for themselves, let alone vote. I do not want theists on the police force, I don't want them in my hospitals, I don't want them anywhere in walking distance to congress and they should not be allowed to raise children -- or for that matter even have them because they're passing along the genes to their disabled brains.

by Anonymousreply 36October 16, 2018 7:54 PM

I think it hilarious, but also a bit sad, that atheist are actually convinced of their all knowing superiority when the reality is that they don't know shit.

by Anonymousreply 37October 16, 2018 8:02 PM

IA with almost every post here about what makes people stupid, really stupid. I'll add those who enjoy reality TV thinking there is anything real about it. When did people stop demanding good writing and acting before they gave their time?

by Anonymousreply 38October 16, 2018 8:08 PM

r37 is an adult who believes in magic. And votes.

by Anonymousreply 39October 16, 2018 8:10 PM

R39, you can bet your superior, all knowing ass I am.

by Anonymousreply 40October 16, 2018 8:12 PM

r37 I believe people who automatically contradict or negate someone else's experience simply because they haven't had it themselves are too stupid to live. "I was stopped and frisked while walking."

Too Stupid to Live: "Bullshit, because I've never been stopped and frisked."

"I survived a school shooting."

Too Stupid to Live: "Bullshit, all the kids in the schools where shootings supposedly happen everywhere in the US are crisis actors."

by Anonymousreply 45October 16, 2018 8:27 PM

The smartest person I've ever met (psychologist-tested IQ; and it was the highest IQ he'd ever tested) is a young earth creationist.

People are complex, nuanced creatures who can both be incredibly intelligent and believe stupid shit.

by Anonymousreply 46October 16, 2018 8:32 PM

r46 what you meant to say was: "I know a (chuckle) Young Earth Creationist (chuckle) who is really good at taking tests."

by Anonymousreply 47October 16, 2018 8:34 PM

R46, believing that nothing suddenly exploded and created the universe is even more stupid.

by Anonymousreply 48October 16, 2018 9:27 PM

I think we're ALL too stupid to live by evidence of our continual and willful destruction of important environmental systems in spite of evidence that these activities will be the end of us all.

It was fun while it lasted. I especially enjoyed riding around in convertibles and running hot water.

by Anonymousreply 49October 16, 2018 10:49 PM

R29 Amen brother, Preach. There is no stupid like the mother fucking idiots who vote agai

by Anonymousreply 50October 16, 2018 11:32 PM

by Anonymousreply 51October 16, 2018 11:35 PM

Pumpkin spice aficionados.

by Anonymousreply 52October 16, 2018 11:38 PM

by Anonymousreply 53October 16, 2018 11:42 PM

Most of the people who comment on articles on my local newspaper's website. Of course, those people also fall into many of the other categories already listed in this thread.

by Anonymousreply 54October 16, 2018 11:43 PM

by Anonymousreply 57October 16, 2018 11:53 PM

People who think "democratic socialism" isnt just Marxism with makeup

by Anonymousreply 58October 16, 2018 11:59 PM

People who think Marxism to be a less humane system than Capitalism.

by Anonymousreply 59October 17, 2018 12:16 AM

People who are atheist that proselytize, get angry, and are hypocritical as they are no better than religious fundamentalists/extremists of any religion/spirituality.

by Anonymousreply 60October 17, 2018 12:26 AM

People who actually believe Christine Blasey Ford was actually almost sexually assaulted, or raped by a teenage Brett Kavanaugh, or that she's not a complete nutcase and bipolar/schizo and off her meds.

by Anonymousreply 61October 17, 2018 12:29 AM

People who believe gender, race, and human sexuality are social constructs.

by Anonymousreply 62October 17, 2018 12:30 AM

Fools like R69 who don't know jack shit about human sexuality, and are bigots. People can be bisexual, and it's actually pretty common. Research and polls have shown that among LGBT people in the human population bisexual men and women outnumber gay and lesbians.

Haven't you ever heard of the Kinsey scale? Also FYI nowhere in the studies done by Kinsey or any other sexologist or scientist does it claim that everyone is bisexual or that most people are bisexual.

by Anonymousreply 76October 17, 2018 1:31 AM

People like R63 who are bitter jaded atheists who think they are extremely intelligent people. I'm not religious but if people want to believe in a religion, God/Gods, etc. that's their choice.

by Anonymousreply 77October 17, 2018 1:38 AM

Anyone who even considers going into therapy and the therapists themselves.

by Anonymousreply 78October 17, 2018 1:43 AM

R77 - That would be fine if religion was benign. But since it's affects me in such a negative way, I'm not going to remain apathetic like you. Religion is a poison on society.

by Anonymousreply 79October 17, 2018 1:47 AM
Maybe atheism isn’t the final arbiter on how intelligent people are, but I respect them more because they tend to think for themselves rather than allowing an imaginary white guy in a beard and robe to determine how they should live their lives.

Polly wanna cracker?

by Anonymousreply 83October 17, 2018 3:20 AM

R83 - Isn't mockery a sin? Or do you get to pick and choose what will put you in hell? Is being a Christian, Jew or Muslim synonymous with also being an asshole? If anyone needs to read 'The God Delusion', it's you. You're too stupid to live in your current state of mind (insanity).

by Anonymousreply 84October 17, 2018 5:39 AM

R84, So you read "The God Delusion" and know you think you know the answer to life's biggest mystery.

How fucking funny.

by Anonymousreply 85October 17, 2018 5:51 AM

Donald Trump lovers age too stupid to live.

by Anonymousreply 86October 17, 2018 5:56 AM

R85 - Tell you what - I'll join you, and adopt your religious beliefs, if you can do this one small thing. Provide proof of the existence of your god. It's a very simple request.

And, don't try any of that typical bullshit when religious people are faced with this challenge - it's so easy to be debunked that it's not even worth your effort.

by Anonymousreply 87October 17, 2018 6:03 AM

Silly gay couples who threw themselves a huge ' destination' wedding and now talk endlessly about adopting a infant...maybe two.

by Anonymousreply 88October 17, 2018 6:14 AM

R87, I'm not r85, but I'll become atheist if you can disprove God exists.

by Anonymousreply 89October 17, 2018 6:38 AM

R87, who the fuck is asking you to join a religion?

And besides, don't you realize you're already in one, the one headed by Pope Dawkins?

by Anonymousreply 90October 17, 2018 6:38 AM

So? He apparently said no.

"despite what Jesus promises us in Matthew 21:21, John 14:14, Mark 11:24, etc."

Which can be interpreted in a thousand ways. You do realize that the belief in God is not exclusive to Christianity or the bible don't you?

by Anonymousreply 100October 17, 2018 7:24 AM

R89 - The onus is always on the one making the claim to provide the proof. You cannot prove a negative.

There are magical pink unicorns in a forest that we haven't discovered. Prove me wrong. See how that works?

by Anonymousreply 101October 17, 2018 8:01 AM

I can’t believe there’s an arrogant theist here trying to shame atheists.

There is no proof that any gods exist. None.

And I realize the above statement isn’t “original” enough for one or more of you. Did Dawkins already say it? Carlin? Boo hoo. How many different, creative ways do we really need to say it?

When you die, that’s it. You rot. Your brain and your “soul” die with you. There is no “heaven” (think about how childish and absurd the idea of infinite Heaven really is: no, seriously, really think about it).

There is no evidence whatsoever for the claims made by religions. They’re belief systems designed to explain what hadn’t yet been explained by science, and as a method of coping with mortality.

I assure you, I wish there were such a thing as an afterlife. I’m terrified of dying. I’m sad about losing my loved ones while I’m alive. The whole idea of existing and then ceasing to exist in this universe is sad. If there were evidence for the existence of gods or an afterlife, I’d be ecstatic. But there isn’t.

And this doesn’t make me SMUG or “all-knowing” or dull or annoying. I’m just an adult with the capacity for critical thinking.

by Anonymousreply 102October 17, 2018 8:08 AM

Those who believe what they are told to believe by media/government, rather than the evidence of their own experience and investigatia.

The burden of proof lies with those who claim the existence of something, not with those disputing the existence.

If I go to the XYZ Company and claim to have a Ph.D. from Harvard, you can best believe they're going to ask for proof.

If my rebuttal is, "prove that I don't", I'm sure they'll be glad to end the discussion right there.

by Anonymousreply 114October 17, 2018 12:47 PM

r113, I don’t believe at all in astrology, being a rational, science based person, but my zodiac fits me to a t, and many other people I know as well.

And I’m someone who would be biased toward the conclusion that astrology will *not* be confirmed by the evidence. So it does puzzle me.

The doctor who delivered me had more gravitational effect on me than the stars did. So, why am I a typical Scorpio?

by Anonymousreply 115October 17, 2018 12:51 PM

We're surrounded by billions of stars, R115, and it's not a sin to remain in wonder of the mystery that is their existence. I have no idea what makes the world spin and how life got going, despite the latest speculations of science, but I can see the stars, feel the wind, float in the sea, feel uplifted by the songs of frogs and birds, and use what's already here to find the sacred in all life.

No fairy tales necessary, no patriarchal systems supporting such tales, no judgment, no sin.

100% of those who believe Eminem and many other celebs have been cloned and replaced by the Illuminati.

Life is not warm and fuzzy. It is often a shitstorm over which you have no control.

by Anonymousreply 120October 17, 2018 4:12 PM

I have heard that astrology is based on the stars/planets position from a couple thousand years ago and not the stars/as they are now. Couldn’t that easily be updated? If someone was born in say July, whatever makes them a scorpio is technically now a Capricorn?

Surrender Dorothy! We were dead the minute we were born, so laugh at the amazing, implausible fact that you're here and have another cupcake! Proof of the joke? The Kardashians are filthy rich over a pee pee tape. Our leader is the star of another.

by Anonymousreply 123October 17, 2018 6:12 PM

R119 Newton hangs on my family tree but he has no known descendants. But I know his family story. Very naturally intelligent. Merchant's son, had kind of a chip on his shoulder about that, wanted to impress Aristocrats, society folks. The more he hung out with them, the more he became obsessed with Alchemy (surprise, surprise).

He wasn't a fraud but our tendency to give god-like status to people who find old work (like, archaeological findings, old records) and it fills in missing links to their theories, stumble upon discovering something that already was (nothing is created by us, we just find it or find how to click "pieces" together to build things, we're not God) misses all the messy human motives, politics and influences that lead to discoveries not being as sure and clear-cut as we'd like to find them.

Humans like security, things we can depend on. But our existence is mostly a condition we've found ourselves in that we're trying to understand moment by moment and everything we do, every choice we make every day of our lives is dependent upon a lot of faith and the hope that the information we're referencing is dependable.

I poop out at parties.

I would laugh if life happened to other people.

People who type things like "ROFLMAO You just made me spit Diet Pepsi all over my keyboard" or "You must be fun at parties" or other bumpersticker phrases from the mid-90s.

Anyone with black and white baby thinking, like addicts, who insist on 100% groupthink: with us or against us, good or evil, Cher or Johnny Cash, etc.

Take a chill pill, R130.

People who believe they can change sex

by Anonymousreply 132October 18, 2018 2:09 AM

People who believe others can change their sexual orientation and they could too if they really wanted to. They just don't want to.

by Anonymousreply 133October 18, 2018 8:30 AM

R130 the “you must be fun at parties” troll doesn’t know how many parties he’s not invited to because he’s pretty tiring. He never gets invited again as he seems to add nothing to the conversation.

by Anonymousreply 134October 18, 2018 4:24 PM

The OP.

by Anonymousreply 135October 18, 2018 4:55 PM

Many times people too stupid to live are happier. They're oblivious to their stupidity, and go thru life in some la la land illusion. They have their religion, and social circle of equally stupid people surrounding them. They never have to ponder the big questions, or attempt to better themselves by being educated or attain material wealth. Their bubble is fine for them, and they have no desire to go outside of it.

by Anonymousreply 136October 18, 2018 5:23 PM

Exactly R80, Atheists who parrot Dawkins, Carlin, Stephen Hawking, etc. are just brainless parrots.
I'll become atheist if you can disprove God exists

I can disprove that God exists in eight words: [bold]young children die of horrible diseases every day[/bold].

Think about it. What kind of "loving" God would allow innocent young children to suffer and die? What possible purpose could that serve?

Epicurious said it best:

[italic]“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.

Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.

Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?

Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”[/italic]

by Anonymousreply 144October 19, 2018 8:18 AM

I still don't think that proves that God doesn't exist. It just proves that if he does exist he is one very sick fuck. Something that religious people all too conveniently ignore. Why pay homage in terms of prayer, time and money supporting institutions which exalt such a monster?

by Anonymousreply 145October 19, 2018 11:48 AM

And so you have hit upon why I do not support religions, R145. They have every right to believe in their gods, but not to impose their rituals and traditions upon the rest of us. This is the attitude they consider 'warlike' and oppressive to them.

I know I've had enough and what the fuck do you care what I believe? Leave athiests, agnostics, etc. alone, xtians nutjobs. We don't want what you're selling and wouldn't even think of supporting it with our hard earned cash to push an agenda that wants to rid the world of gay rights and anyone that doesn't LOOK like them.

by Anonymousreply 146October 19, 2018 2:19 PM

R144, Those kids obviously were not vaccinated-as they had nutcase anti-vaxxing parents, or have really bad genes and their parents should have never reproduced.

by Anonymousreply 147October 19, 2018 8:45 PM

Learn to read, R147.

by Anonymousreply 148October 20, 2018 4:46 AM

People who teach their children lies like the Easter Bunny, Tooth Faerie, Santa, the Great Pumpkin, etc. And you wonder why your children grow up to steal your BMW at the age of 14?

by Anonymousreply 149October 20, 2018 5:11 AM

Children were taught those stories for many years and they didn't attempt to steal the family horse.

by Anonymousreply 150October 20, 2018 9:34 AM

r145, that's not how it works. You're doing it backwards. You have to prove god does exist. Not the other way around.

by Anonymousreply 151October 20, 2018 10:06 AM

Pitbull owners.

"Oh I simply do not understand how my 2-week old infant child or 85-year-old invalid grandmother became ground meat with that huge happy loving dog there to protect! It's not the breed it's the-- no, it's not the owner it's the-- dang it! How does that phrase go again?"

by Anonymousreply 152October 20, 2018 6:45 PM

People who believe Vivien Leigh was a home wrecking cunt.

by Anonymousreply 153October 21, 2018 12:33 AM

Clearly Man created God and not the other way around. The idea of one God is fairly recent in human history. All ancient cultures such as the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans had multiple gods. They created these gods to explain things they didn't understand which is why they had gods of the sun, water, death, fertility, etc. Once science began to explain what we didn't understand then religion was adapted to the one God theory. If you want to believe God exists then that's your belief but don't shove it down my throat as I don't do the same with my belief.

And if God does exist he clearly has BPD.

R151 Think of all the wondrous beautiful things around you and your blessings.

There is God!

The rest is Satan.

I like to keep an open mind but anyone who goes along totally with hive mind and thinks blanket statements about large groups are valid... aka "Men are Trash, Whites are the Devil, ___ is stupid because of their beliefs or non beliefs, everyone must feel guilty about everything-- no. Just stop.
