Clearly Man created God and not the other way around. The idea of one God is fairly recent in human history. All ancient cultures such as the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans had multiple gods. They created these gods to explain things they didn't understand which is why they had gods of the sun, water, death, fertility, etc. Once science began to explain what we didn't understand then religion was adapted to the one God theory.
