Looks like fun. Premiers on Nov 11.
CAMPING premiered tonight.
So far, it's awful. Bridget Everett is good. But it seems like yet another navel gazing Lens Dunham series.
How can an entire series be set on a CAMPING ground?!

I quit the first ep of Camping half way through. I didn't laugh once.
I just read this Guardian interview with the creator of Sally4Ever, Julia Davis. I'm not familiar with her, but I think I will her podcast a listen.

BTW, has anyone seen the original CAMPING?

Is this like Fleabag? I hated that show. I don't get English humor. Fleabag was mean and nasty.

I live in the UK. I saw Camping. It was the usual mean, bitter, self indulgent "privileged" white people humour that Middle class English Brits love. VERY misanthropic. Not easily "translatable" as nobody else on Earth can do Misanthropy as well as The English. And thank fuck for that. It may be the source of their "looks" after all and nobody with sense aspires to look like The English. I had sympathy for not one of the characters. I watched it all. Julia Davis played a sociopath who lays waste to the Camping Group's resident fuckboi. There is a very nervous "older mother" married to a not so nervous man. There is an abusive man married to the most dickpecked woman ever. There is a weirdo escaped from Royston Vasey who owns the Camping Site. It's all very "we went to Oxbridge and learned to tune out reality -oh aren't we great" type of nonsense. Probably have to be of this stock to appreciate it.

Didn't know which thread was official, a variation on what I posted in other thread about this mess of a show.
Sally4Ever is completely awful. It's not even funny in an odd way as Britcoms usually are. British comedy is usually amazing!
As Stefon would say: "This show has everything....EVERYTHING you DON'T want: Grating, tedious, self-absorbed unattractive characters and their self-made dramas. The ick factor: EXTREMELY HIGH!"
