Can you really blame Booker for being attracted to white women? When he talks about his upbringing, he always says that his family were the only black people in the neighborhood. All of his in person crushes and relationships growing up were with white people. It was all he was exposed to until he left for Stanford.

He also probably gets slack when he shows attraction towards white women because many blacks believe "stay with your own kind", at least the black people I am close to feel that way. And maybe his parents want him to marry a black woman only, and he's just not that into them for the reasons you mentioned. Some white women want to be with black men but truthfully, most do not. Most white women prefer white men. They too want to stay with their own kind.

TO ADD: Plus, he's 6' 4" and could make an average-height (between 5' 3" - 5' 7") woman look like a midget when standing next to him (especially in the public eye) which also limits him. Some women don't care about that and actually like it but it still eliminates women under 5' 7" who do feel like a midget next to him, once again, limiting his pool.

Then factor in he travels for his job, and as well he's not home every night or available every weekend. I know many men travel and their wives have no issue with it but they are a small percentage. Most don't want to feel like they are raising the children alone because their husband is only available half the time. I don't think his job takes him away excessively, but the point is that he's not around every day, he's gone almost half the time or at dinner meetings. A lot of women just don't want to sign up for that.

In addition, he's expressed an interest in running for POTUS and contrary to popular belief most women do not want the job of FLOTUS for 8 years. They know if he were to be elected, even if that's ten years from now, they will be thrust into that role, like it or not. They also know they will be scrutinized and put under a magnifying glass. He may never be elected but she would always know that the possibility exists because the strong desire and interest on his part is there.

All in all, I'd say his available pool is very limited. Just my opinion though.

My former college roommate is Oprah's first cousin.
