Eminem acknowledges Calling Tyler the Creator the F-Word went too FAR

Eminem admitting he went too far by calling Tyler The Creator the f-word & that he didn't mean to hurt the LGBT community. You know what that is? GROWTH.

But Tyler is a big closeted faggot

by Anonymousreply 1September 14, 2018 4:12 AM

We’ve been down this road before with Eminem. He apologized. He performed with Elton John. He did it again.

by Anonymousreply 2September 14, 2018 4:13 AM

What R2 said

by Anonymousreply 3September 14, 2018 4:21 AM

Underneath the beard and the hat, you can tell he's clearly had a lot of fillers injected into his face. He's scary looking.

by Anonymousreply 4September 14, 2018 4:47 AM

Okay, please update an Elder Gay.

When did Eminem call Tyler the f word (and the context), and what was the fall out at the time?

thanks

by Anonymousreply 5September 14, 2018 5:26 AM

In his current song

The only "growth" I want from M&Ms is a tumor.

by Anonymousreply 7September 14, 2018 6:06 AM

FOR. I don't want him to give me a tumor.

I'm not buying that there's been much growth there. He said he did it because he was so mad at TTC that he wanted to hurt him, so in his mind calling him a fag was still one of the worst things he could think of. What does that reveal that he really thinks of fags?

by Anonymousreply 13September 14, 2018 8:18 AM

That the worst thing you can call a man is a fag, R13. It's not calculus.

by Anonymousreply 14September 14, 2018 10:06 AM

"That the worst thing you can call a man is a fag, [R13]. It's not calculus."

This is sad and hilarious on quite a few levels.

Mostly sad.

But that calculus analogy coming from someone who probably has trouble with fractions....well, at that point all bets are off.

Was that mean? Am I being mean?

by Anonymousreply 15September 14, 2018 10:10 AM

His apology is uttered once, and the anti gays that love Eminem didn't hear it. That song (and others of his) and its words will be heard more than once and the wrong ears will hear it.

by Anonymousreply 16September 14, 2018 10:19 AM

Didn't Eminem get in trouble years ago for homophobia, and then everybody decided he changed, and Elton John and others all decided he was a doll?

So now decades later he's back at it. People are so gullible.

"I'm so, so sorry my homophobia threatened my money. Please forgive me"

by Anonymousreply 17September 14, 2018 10:22 AM

Yeah he did, but I never really apologized at all back then. He just used his performance with Elton to cover over the criticism.

by Anonymousreply 18September 14, 2018 1:26 PM

Growth, after 19 years? How old is m n m ?

by Anonymousreply 19September 14, 2018 1:54 PM

Better than never

by Anonymousreply 20September 14, 2018 1:58 PM

That’s the game in Eminem’s rap circle, nothing to see here. He’s straight up trash. He can do his thing with his music but he never was and never will be on our side, so best to count him out altogether, gays.

When the dust (and the hot takes) finally settled, Eminem emerged victorious this week, laughing in the face of his detractors as he notched his ninth consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with his new surprise release, Kamikaze. The rapper’s latest effort moved 434,000 equivalent album units in its first seven days, the fourth-highest sales week of 2018 and a substantial uptick from his previous dud, Revival, which shifted a comparatively limp 267,000 units last December.

Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, who's featured on "Fall" off of Eminem's surprise new album Kamikaze, has spoken out against the apparent homophobic slur that ended up on the track. Vernon says he wasn't in the studio for Eminem's recording session but asked for the lyric to be changed, to no avail.

"Was not in the studio for the Eminem track... came from a session with BJ Burton and Mike Will. Not a fan of the message, it’s tired. Asked them to change the track, wouldn’t do it," he wrote on Twitter Friday (Aug. 31).

"Fall" has Shady targeting Tyler, the Creator and rapping: "Tyler create nothin', I see why you called yourself a f-----, bitch."

READ MORE Eminem Needs to Be Held Accountable For Using Homophobic Slurs (Again) "Eminem is one of the best rappers of all time, there is no doubt," Vernon said in another tweet. "I have and will respect that. Tho, this is not the time to criticize Youth, it’s the time to listen. To act. It is certainly not the time for slurs. Wish they would have listened when we asked them to change it."

In a third update, he said, "I was wrong and we are gonna kill this track."

Em's got attacks aplenty on Kamikaze: beyond Tyler, he takes aim at Drake, Lil Pump, Joe Budden, Machine Gun Kelly, Donald Trump, Charlamagne Tha God and more.

Regarding calling Tyler The Creator, a gay man, a faggot:

“I really did like [Odd Future],” said Em. “I thought their movement was really cool too. We didn’t make music, but I just felt like OK, there’s a mutual respect. And a lot of the shit that ended up happening after that, like the tweet he put out talking about Shady XV and why can’t people that are close to him tell him that his shit sucks and it’s trash. OK, listen, man. You don’t have to like it and it could really suck, but being that somebody really was cool to you, you would expect some kind of reciprocation. And just don’t go public with it and publicly express your opinion and how much my shit is trash. I chalk it up to them being young and just kids. I been there. I was a dick when I first came out. I feel bad about it. I’m sorry if I ever was a dick to you.”

He felt they turned their backs on him. “I liked him and then Earl Sweatshirt gets in an interview after Tyler trashes me and Earl Sweatshirt, anybody who listens to Eminem is drinking too much Mountain Dew. And I’m just like really? Like, what the fuck? You guys were just on tour with us. We hung out, we kicked it, made jokes. I know a lot of this shit, I could come across as being very petty. But at a certain point in time, someone has their breaking point.” But he really reached his breaking point when Tyler dissed his Beyoncé collaboration “Walk on Water.” “When Tyler tweeted out the thing about ‘Walk on Water.’ ‘This fucking song is horrible.’ I was like, alright, I need to say something now ’cause this is fucking stupid. But at the same time, I’m not gonna be America’s punching bag and motherfuckers think it’s cool and safe to say whatever the fuck they want about me.”

He does, however, regret using a homophobic slur on “Fall.” “I was angry when I said the shit about Tyler. Every time I saw this kid, always so cool to you. I loved his energy. He was a funny dude. He’s super charismatic and shit. But I’m sitting back like, man, at what point do I have to say something just to defend myself? And I think that the word that I called him on the album on that song was one of the things where I felt like this might be too far.”

He continued, “In my quest to hurt him, I realized that I was hurting a lot of other people by saying it. At the time I was so mad it was just whatever. But in the midst of everything else that was going on on this album, the things that it took to pull this album together. It was one of the things that I kept going back to going, ‘I don’t feel right with this.’ Before the album came out, I had a conversation with Paul [Rosenberg] and we spun the word back. But now I realize people can hear what I’m saying anyways“

by Anonymousreply 24September 14, 2018 2:40 PM

When rappers these days use the term faggot, they are letting the industry know that they are available for homosexual activities. There really is no point in using a slur in songs these days. As preteen in the 90’ I always suspected Eminem was a closeted homosexual/bisexual.

Eminem confirms Secret Service visit following rap about Trump: “They were basically just asking questions about my lyrics to see what the intent was behind them and if I was making an actual threat or just expressing myself"

by Anonymousreply 26September 14, 2018 5:57 PM

Tyler may be a gay man, but Eminem's had FAR MORE "faggot" sex with men than Tyler has.

On god, my word is bond.

Eminem’s daughter is turning 23 this year (?!), she’s almost the same age as Tyler lmao it makes this non-beef even funnier

Eminem has fired back at Machine Gun Kelly with a new diss track called “KILLSHOT.” Listen below. The song is a response to Kelly’s “Rap Devil,” which was the Cleveland rapper’s answer to the Kamikaze takedown “Not Alike.” On “KILLSHOT,” Em raps lines including, “I’m 45 and I’m still outselling you,” and “I’d rather be 80-year-old me than 20-year-old you.”

He also responds directly to numerous “Rap Devil” barbs. For example, MGK raps, “Last time you saw 8 Mile was at home on a treadmill.” In response, Em, says, “I’m really sorry you want me to have a heart attack/Was watchin’ 8 Mile on my NordicTrack/Realized I forgot to call you back.” In addition, Em calls out MGK for eating cereal in the “Rap Devil” video. At one point, he taunts, “The day you put out a hit’s the day Diddy admits that he put the hit out that got Pac killed.” He closes the track, “Oh, and I’m just playin’, Diddy. You know I love you.”

I just don’t understand why a 45 year old man bothers to get angry by the shit young guys say. Shouldn’t he be too mature to care by now? When he was young he had a shot at Moby, who was only in his 30s, for being “too old”, doesn’t Eminem remember how little he cared about Moby’s opinion of him or the lyrics? Doesn’t he look a his daughters boyfriend and realise he’s arguing with guys who are the same age? It’s petty. Maybe he should take his own advice: “you’re too old, let go...”

by Anonymousreply 41September 15, 2018 12:34 AM

Greasefire awaits them all!

Except Moby.
