Bolivian Director Juan Carlos Valdivia's 'Soren' starring Willy Cartier will win the Oscar for best foreign picture

Bookmark this thread. It's a lock. They've got all the PC bases covered with this movie, which was filmed entirely in a third world country. The Academy will go ga-ga over this film. And If Cartier gets a best supporting nomination, he will simultaneously fulfill the most quotas (African, Vietnamese, French Breton, Transgender, Bi-sexual) of any past nominee.

Willy is cuter than a lost puppy. Make sure you go out and support him. Such a shame the bisexuals/ gays don't support each other. The movie premiere us 11/8.

Willy has nice teeth. But I won't be paying for this movie.

by Anonymousreply 7October 19, 2018 10:06 PM

Sorry, hunty!

SOREN wasn't even nominated by its home countries. IT ALREADY LOST.

The Oscar will go to Lebanon's CAPERNAUM, which has been racking up awards and has backing from the award powerhouse Sony Pictures Classics.

If you wanted to know what will win, you should have just asked or researched the race on deadline or indiewire.

Very cool. I am catching up on all the past Best Foreign Language Film Oscar winners (sure beats comic book movie bullshit) so am interested in the frontrunners. Doing "... Better World" from Denmark tonight. .

The Director is hawt. Do you think Willy kept him company in the jungle during filming?

Is there dong?

by Anonymousreply 12October 20, 2018 1:14 AM

Yes, there is ample donglage. I can't find any screenshots as the movie has not opened yet. There are several homoerotic scenes. One of the trailers shows Willy's character laying in bed next to another male protagonist, then cuts away. Here's some earlier donglage from Willy.

Do any of the movies have to do with the Holocaust? They automatically win

by Anonymousreply 17February 25, 2019 2:24 AM

That Mexican movie actually won, didn't it?
