Retro Hairstylists

I'm curious if there are any hairstylists or barbershops around that know how to cut hair like they did in the 70's or 80's. Someone who can cut and style a woman's hair like Farrah Fawcett or Dorothy Hamill's "short n sassy" look. Someone who can cut mine to look like Erik Estrada's did at his height of popularity. Does anyone know if there are any hair cutters out there that can do these styles? Can I walk in to any barbershop and get the Erik Estrada disco look upon request?

That's just using a blow dryer, OP. You can do it yourself.

Providing you have the right kind of hair in the first place.

Make sure you get an older stylist who was actually doing hair at the time. Young people who think they are "experts" in older styles often have no idea what they are doing.

The above pic does just look like layered hair blow-dried straight with a round brush and probably hair sprayed to keep it's shape. Remember to think about what products were used at the time also. I don't remember hearing about styling gel until the 80s and mousse didn't come in until the late 80s, I think, so earlier than that probably would have been hair spray used in the style (I could be mistaken about that).

It would have to be a layered cut and you'd have to let your hair grow out over the ears. Nowadays, for men, the sides are usually shaved.
