OP here. I did not know that you could turn off the link previews in settings. I just did that. Thanks to those who suggested it. I don't come on here for the porn photos; rather, I do find some threads interesting, and, given I work from home alone, I use this board as my water cooler gossip site, and to hear about things I might not have heard about it. Just because it's a gay site and I'm gay doesn't mean I want to be bombarded with sex and dick pics. My link preview is disabled now. Carry on.

I've got link previews turned off because there are lots of photos I'm not interested in seeing. If I'm interested I delve into the thread. It also reduces the size of the thread title line up.

I work from home, but my work computer is completely separate from my home computer. They sit back to back on the desk, so I sometimes check out DL during lunch, but I've never tried to look at DL on my work computer: my company monitors my computer, because I deal with HIPAA, which means they randomly screen-scrape my monitor on a regular basis, and I'd better be on a work-related website when they do. So, you've already gotten your answer to disable link previews. I don't, but if a particular image or GIF is offensive to me, I block the thread. Most of the threads I block, though, are the ones from obsessive fangurls.

It does piss me off that so many of the images end up being greyed out, which indicates people have been FFing them instead of just blocking them. FFing a post affects the poster's 'karma', and can get the person banned. Since the Atkol forums have disappeared, DL is one of the best places where those of us who like classic porn can discuss it.

Same here. I work from home one day a week and use vpn to log into my pc at work. A few years ago my company purge several employees because of porn sites they were visiting and pictures saved on the company p.c. People forget that the pc/laptop and network they are using is paid for and owned by the company they work for. I won't even browse DL on a public network. I turn off wifi even in a restaurant.

OP here. I do not object to the porn being on here, just not on the opening post. I prefer to not look at porn without opening the thread. It wasn't that long ago that threads were labeled not safe for work, so people knew not to open it if they didnt want to see naked images, but, now, the naked image is the lead in. It doesn't have to be that way. I am not a delicate flower, and I'm a gay male, but I'm a gay male who just gets sick of seeing naked pictures unnecessarily. I also often take my computer to work in a coffee shop, and I don't want to open DL in a public place, and not know if the next photo is going to be some dick. Again, I am not suggesting that porn be banned, I am just advocating that it be inside the thread, starting with the first reply, so people who don't want to see it don't have to.
