For, I believe, the trampoline competition, the men can wear pants but the women are required to wear leotards (tight to the skin). That 'tight' part is in the rules only for the women so it's not a safety concern.

The women are not the ones setting these uniform standards, no matter how much the misogynists here would love that to be the case.
