My Persian male cat has adopted my female Maltipoo and grooms her all the time. He’s a weirdly maternal cat. Saves me a lot of money on grooming. That’s a lucky puppy.

How old are you OP? Ru says 28 is a really tough time. I can confirm, in my case, 26-35 was a really tough time in my own life. Things started to look up after that, but I had to turn everything around, no kidding.

I posted Mister Rogers for OP for the song at the end. 'IT'S YOU I LIKE'. It is a very calming, and reassuring affirmation to people who don't usually hear those words.
Sorry to hear about poor Jeffrey, r32.

FF, r48. Do you thnk you are remotey helping OP?
by Anonymous | reply 49 | June 22, 2018 7:31 AM |
R47 wrote my exact thoughts. A cardinal flew past my windshield yesterday, same day I took a photo of a red-winged blackbird high up in a tree in a quiet field at the edge of my housing development. A few small white meadow butterflies flitted by me as I just stood amongst the flowering weeds to feel the natural tranquility.
The worlds that flourish without us are what enrich us. Go outside of your world, OP.

This is the OP and I'm ok. Thank you for asking. That's kind. I can't enjoy nature, circle of death and misery and all that.

by Anonymous | reply 55 | June 23, 2018 8:09 AM |
OP, I don't usually like to share this with people, but this always makes me feel better when I am in the serious dumps.

by Anonymous | reply 60 | June 23, 2018 10:54 AM |
Is RBG the name of the film, r60?
by Anonymous | reply 61 | June 23, 2018 2:20 PM |
Yes, r61. Also, as well as being my favorite movie so far this year, it is one of the leading sources of vocal fry in popular entertainment (her granddaughterrr).
by Anonymous | reply 62 | June 23, 2018 2:33 PM |
R24, that’s a fresh fruit, not vegetables.
OP, how about that first cup of steaming hot coffee in the morning? Ummm ummmm, that’s what I’m talking about.

Just buy high alcohol content alcohol at Walgreens. Mix with old pens and markers make own alcohol ink. Use on clothes, fabrics, glass or tile. Fire 'em up! You need a passion. A passion that costs nothing. Something from nothing.

Do a curb alert on Craigslist and dump what you don't want there. Easiest way to clean and decluttering without having to schlep. Find it under free in the for sale section.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | June 23, 2018 5:53 PM |
OP, stick with it, how you are feeling is temporary. Look for the things that make you happy, and focus on those. Do you have any pets?

IT WILL BE OVER SOON PERHAPS SOONER THAN LATER......EH?
by Anonymous | reply 78 | June 24, 2018 4:16 AM |
I have 2 bitchy cats. They're ok. I do enjoy quality orange juice and I'm astounded by how good it is -and less than $3 a carton. I don't hate Trump and I feel some ostracism from friends because of that. I want to return to my vegan diet because its ethical, but I'm not there yet. Sometimes I watch Lawrence Welk on youtube. I'm middle aged now and I resemble Artie Lange. Old photographs make me sad.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | June 24, 2018 4:21 AM |
Don't look at the old photographs. Nostalgia is not your friend, it's a trap. Live in the present.
by Anonymous | reply 80 | June 24, 2018 4:23 AM |
OP, for starters, get new friends. And Artie Lange is/was cute.
by Anonymous | reply 81 | June 24, 2018 4:25 AM |
OP, you sound smart, so why don't you hate trump?
by Anonymous | reply 82 | June 24, 2018 4:28 AM |
[quote] r75: Pulp or no pulp?
I do not discriminate.
by Anonymous | reply 83 | June 24, 2018 4:30 AM |
Is "I don't hate Trump" a euphemism for, "I voted for Trump and now everyone hates me"?
Be honest.
by Anonymous | reply 84 | June 24, 2018 4:31 AM |
"Sometimes I go about in pity for myself, and all the while, a great wind carries me across the sky".
by Anonymous | reply 85 | June 25, 2018 5:56 AM |
OP, we're still waiting for your answer to R84's question.
by Anonymous | reply 86 | June 25, 2018 6:00 AM |
Yeah, I reluctantly voted for Trump because I think he's right about trade and illegal immigration and accelerating the FDA approval process for new medications. I thought Hillary was quite ill and I didn't trust her. I also thought she was a lousy SoS.
by Anonymous | reply 87 | June 27, 2018 3:06 AM |
Karma, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | June 27, 2018 3:36 AM |
You've earned your hard time, asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 89 | June 27, 2018 3:40 AM |
There are people who "reluctantly" voted for Trump, but have come to see the light since then.
But you "still don't hate Trump."
Trump doesn't know jackshit about international trade; Hillary had a cogent, comprehensive plan for pharma (pricing and regulation). But you looked at a screenshot and "thought" she was ill.
Fantastic.
So, to get back to your post, are you having a hard time because no one is talking to you? (Or is it something else.)
by Anonymous | reply 90 | June 27, 2018 3:43 AM |
Except, R91, unlike Mr. Shuzo, OP doesn't have a lot of people cheering him on.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | June 27, 2018 6:22 AM |
r59 is right about the fresh sheets. It is always comforting to me.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | June 28, 2018 3:23 AM |
Oh dear, now OP's friends will ostracize him even more, what with trump in a position to nominate a new SCOTUS judge.
by Anonymous | reply 95 | June 28, 2018 4:52 AM |
Are you still with us OP?
by Anonymous | reply 96 | June 29, 2018 8:07 PM |
R96, I'm sure he is. We can't actually get rid of him, and his former friends don't want to be around him.
by Anonymous | reply 97 | June 29, 2018 8:09 PM |
HAPPY CANADA DAY, OP! We love our cousins south of the border. Here's a humourous take. Enjoy!

'humorous'
by Anonymous | reply 99 | June 29, 2018 9:26 PM |
For several years, OP, I have wanted to treat myself to the collected Larousse Gastronomique recipe collection - it's a 4 part box set comprising Meat, Game, and Poultry; Desserts; Vegetables and Salads; and Seafood and Fish. Well last week I saw one on eBay for just a few dollars and it arrived today. In great condition. Many happy hours ahead of me.
by Anonymous | reply 100 | June 29, 2018 9:32 PM |
OP, I condole you. Please trust that things will get better. Then they will get worse again. Then better. But I hope for you that they get much better.
