I get Shervin didn’t necessarily add to the drama, but my goodness he was great to look at - especially those times he wasn’t shaved and waxed.

Shervin was under the impression that he was a full time cast member while filming. He didn’t find out he had been demoted until Bravo released the trailer for the new season and official cast photo. According to several blogs he was none too pleased regarding his diminished status on the show.

As far as Asa, she and the producers had a discussion as to what she was and wasn’t willing to film. Based on the fact that she once again was choosing to show none of her personal life she and the producers came to a mutual decision to demote her on the show. If she would have been open to filming with her new baby and filming with the rest of the cast, specifically MJ, Asa would still be full time on the show.

Mike is a slacker yet his mother thinks he deserves a woman with degrees, a high-paying steady job and who is a traditional, husband-first kind of wife. Mike doesn't deserve that kind of woman. His major source of income at this point is from being on Shahs (like most of the cast except for Shervin). Once the show is over he's going to go broke again.
