I’m watching The Stepford Wives
I’ll skip the jealous bitches. It’s the original. I haven’t seen it in years and may have missed some stuff first time around but I have questions.
Was the Disney exec setting up some kind of harem of other men’s wives to dally with? Was it really a swingers club for men with robot wives?

He was creating the perfect wives for the men who wanted them.
It is a little odd in the film how he doesn't have one of his own.

I got curious because of the way he and the other men came over to Joanna's house almost as if they were looking her over to see if she fit their criteria for sex and the way Diz was assessing her.

the come over so the one guy can draw her, and the one guy can convince her to do the speech tape

In the novel, the women are killed and the robots just look like them.
THAT is the horror: the husbands fully understand that their wives are being MURDERED and replaced with dolls.
The husbands consent to it being done.
The Nicole Kidman movie is TRASH and nowhere near as horrifying as the original novel and film. Nicole could just haver some programming erased so there was a happy ending.
Plus, the gay guy in Nicole's movie ends as "an Independent" not a "Democrat". Deplorable.
