Nicolas Cage. For the obvious reasons. He lacks so little discipline, even in movies where he's supposed to play it straight.
Bruce Willis. Another one of these actors who just doesn't care and is there for the paycheck.
Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro. Same reasons as Willis. They've either become caricatures of themselves or have shown that they just don't care about acting anymore. DeNiro, especially. Not only does he not care about acting, he doesn't even care about protecting his legacy as an actor.
Jamie Foxx. I just can't stand his face for some reason. I've been avoiding Djano Unchained for the longest time because of him.
Denzel Washington, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close, Tom Hanks--boring ass Oscar bait actors. As soon as I hear they're in a movie, I'm like, "Nope."
Gary Oldman, for sounding kind of douchy a few years ago. Now I can't stomach watching him in anything more.

John Hamm

R15 Very true about Pacino, DeNiro, and so many others. But this phenomena isn't confined to acting. I'm an attorney. I no longer care about winning or losing for my clients. Just show me the money.

Robert Pattinson. The last movie in which I could stomach him was Harry Potter.

Alan Rickman was fabulous and caring.
OP is probably just one of our alt-right trolls who hates Rickman’s support of the Labour Party.

Tom Hanks. The whiny voice is what constantly reminds me that this is Tom Hanks doing a bad accent, or being a cloyingly safe actor who appeals to the lowest common denominator.

Actor Sean Biggerstaff who worked with Rickman wrote this after Rickman's death.

Seth Rogen. His smug, smarmy, self-adoring presence kills any film he appears in!
I still resent him for ruining "Paul", which starred my favorite team of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and which was great fun until Rogen made his first appearance and the humor ground to a halt.

Nick Cage is another one who would be selling insurance if not for his connections. So gross.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | June 20, 2018 1:43 AM |
Angie Jolie--The last movie I saw her in, her stick figure body was laughable for the role of a bad ass assassin. She looked like she would snap in two with a strong wind.
Look at her junkie arm. So ridiculous:

Charlie Day: always shouting, never funny. Jeremy Piven also deserves a mention.

Jennifer Lawrence (I liked her only in Winter's Bone her first movie). While we're at it--Bradley Cooper--ferret face. Keira Knightly hardly acts anymore--thank God. Will Smith--terrible, full of himself actor. Al Pacino--but then he doesn't get too many roles anymore either because of his age. Kristen Stewart IMO can barely act. I did like Alan Rickman actually, and was sorry when he died.

There’s a few actors I don’t like very much and think are overrated (Leo Di Caprio, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Lawrence) and I generally wont go and see a film with them in the leading role. But if there’s a bigger ensemble cast and they’re just one of the players - then happy to go and see if and keep an open mind.
Funny how some people get a really string or averse reaction to some actors. My mother HATED Jack Lemon for some reason and avoided any film he was in. I never did find out why. Maybe he reminded her of someone she had a bad experience with and/or despised? I thought he was generally inoffensive and when he was good he was very, very good.
Who knows what triggers some people.

Matt Damon and his smug, lopsided face
by Anonymous | reply 69 | June 21, 2018 11:07 AM |
R67, maybe your mom was bothered by his constant sputtering and stuttering. I can think of a few actors I can't stand to watch because of the way they speak:
Carol Kane - that baby talk she does makes me want to sew her mouth shut.
Jerry Lewis - I hate his grating, loud, affected speech + constant mugging and slapstick.
Bob Goldthwaite - ew. Is he retarded?
Gilbert Godfried - almost as annoying as Jerry Lewis-- all the yelling gives me a migraine.
Rosie Perez - her whiney, high pitched tone and thick Brooklyn accent can send wild dogs running.

Maybe she couldn't stand him because of his obnoxious mannerisms and because of how overrated he is. I never liked Jack Lemmon, either. I never got what the big deal was about him (never got the "ooh, he's the every man" shtick) and I found his mannerisms annoying. He was one note in everything he did, which is why he only did well in those movies that took advantage of his onscreen persona (How to Murder Your Wife and The Out of Towners). But otherwise, eccch. I actually cringed when Ving Rhames handed his award to him. I was, like, "What?"

R55 is an anti-Semitic moron. Say what you want about Sandler, he has had tons of hits

I like all the actors that op hates.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | June 21, 2018 8:05 PM |
Wow! Who’d have thought Jack lemon still had the power to annoy! I guess my mom knew her stuff and was justified in her distaste. Mom - i didn’t get it - but I’ve wronged you all these years!
by Anonymous | reply 74 | June 21, 2018 8:05 PM |
R15 is insane. She doesn't like anyone or anything...obviously a very sick mind. Find a good outhouse, sicko.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | June 21, 2018 8:09 PM |
Joaquin is a great actor but seemingly a repulsive personality. A family that gets in tits deep with a nasty cult...?
by Anonymous | reply 76 | June 21, 2018 8:15 PM |
Speaking of cults, I can not stand Tom Cruise or Patricia Heaton.
And Kristen Stewart? No thanks.
