At 5:17 two days ago in San Diego. HOT. When he talks about being set to blow...

Hansen troll, I tried their music. It was just too monotonous. But thank you for trying.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | June 12, 2018 4:28 PM |
R4 They have such a wide range of stuff, though and it's all different. You're not trying hard enough! You probably listened to some of their more dance/funk stuff where it's supposed to get you into a groove.
More importantly, do you approve of the facial hair?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | June 12, 2018 4:43 PM |
Some of you are are so unscientific. You don't have to like their music to like Taylor's new facial hair.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | June 12, 2018 4:49 PM |
Why are you anti-Science, DL?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | June 12, 2018 4:52 PM |
I got the 2-CD set featuring all of them, not just the cute one.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 12, 2018 4:56 PM |
R8 They're all cute. But respect, you're about the music.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 12, 2018 4:59 PM |
30%?! Damnit, DL, you just can't deliver. What the hell is wrong with you? No finer facial hair has ever been seen on a finer face.

THIS JUST IN: Ronan Farrow is loving Taylor Hanson on InstaGram. Is he the DL’s very own Hanson troll??
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 17, 2018 2:29 PM |
How can they make a living with this? Do they have other jobs?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 18, 2018 5:37 PM |
R16 They have their own company.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | June 18, 2018 5:39 PM |
A company that does what? Something other than them singing?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | June 18, 2018 6:10 PM |
R18 I find the whole thing really fascinating because they essentially built their own model for how artists can survive in today's environment.
Other artists should pay attention, watch their documentary "Strong Enough to Break" to see how they dealt with challenges at the corporate level and when they ultimately knew they had to go independent. They also have their own beer company and expanded that into building a local festival that got others invested in the festival's success, as well. I think a lot of it is good management of resources, management of time, pulling other local people into an idea and committing to it for their own business longevity (even survival), as well.
So they built a virtual community online based on their initial mega-fame, they put roots down and built on a secure foundation in a lower tiered metropolitan community (strong enough to hold growth but not so established on a global scale that new talent and industry innovation can't afford to emerge there) based on global fame that's created this sort of positive feedback loop between these two dynamics: The global support feeds into supporting the local growth; for those times global popularity wanes, they ramp up the local investments and that keeps the machine going until the inevitable boost of global popularity again because trends come in cycles and people who make good work will, if they keep things "alive" during the quiet periods, eventually get another boost of new support based on that initial work. With today's technology and transportation ease, this works in a way that can give artists the best of both worlds: Security from a local home base where they're the "biggest fish in the pond" where they're actually the "keystone species" creating a niche in that community (where other businesses benefit from what you do there), yet still open for those opportunities where they could have another stratospheric-ally high global hit.
It needs be noted that their Christmas album last year reached #7 on Australia's "Aria" charts and #5 on Amazon the week of its release which everyone should realize is pretty astonishing for a 25+ year old band that went totally independent in 2004. They had their global recognition to start from but were totally on their own with resources, they had no major record company to lean on. They never got too primadonna-ish to busk it, go out and work like you were never famous, promote everything at the lowest levels and that lack of arrogance and vanity is probably why they're still going strong today.
Here's an interview from 2013 where they talk about launching their first brew:

R22 Look at that camera lock. The horny BBC camera queen on that day made a permanent record of his ogling.

Shouldn't they grow out of this whole brother act thing?
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 24, 2018 7:44 PM |
R24 That's their band. They keep making good music together and get along, professionally so what would be the point?
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 25, 2018 12:01 PM |
They are like young Bee Gees. One is extremely beautiful and the other two not so much.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 25, 2018 1:30 PM |
R26 They're all gorgeous and would stand out in a room, it's just that Taylor is beautiful at a "freak of nature" level.

Who cares? Why did you pick someone who's not been relevant in two decades?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 14, 2018 4:40 PM |
Is Taylor still getting fucked by guys?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 14, 2018 5:46 PM |
R38 I think it's very admirable, how you're considerate of the less fortunate by pretending that Taylor wasn't born relevant and won't die relevant. That's David Campbell with him in the pic at R34 , working on their new Symphony show.
