Why are there so many Iranians in Orange County CA?

Warm and affluent. Mostly Muslims. The hot pocket founders are based in Newport. I have Persian neighbors on both sides and backing my house in Holmby Hills. They like the nice areas : Brentwood, BH, Malibu, Palisades, Greenwich, Bedford, Great Neck etc.

California symbolizes all of the Western debauchery and excess that the Iranian mullahs detest and preach against.

Seems like a perfect choice for wealthy Iranians to live there. Iranians were a very showy and cosmopolitan bunch in general before modesty and the Islamic Revolution came about in 1979. Tehran was known as the Paris as the Middle East. One can only wonder what Iran would look like today if the CIA did not oust the Shah of Iran.

As a Los Angeles native, I would say that they seem to prefer BH, Bel Air, Holmby Hills and Brentwood - all tony areas. Plenty of the non-wealthy flock to parts of WEHO and Westwood (both are still very high-rent locations). They avoid Cheviot Hills and Beverlywood - likely due to the large Jewish populations (not that any of these historical "ghettos" still exist these days anyway - every section of LA has become very diversified). You don't see a lot of Iranians in Glendale, Burbank or Los Feliz - but you do see many other middle eastern cultures.

Uh, no R3. Beirut was known as the Paris of the Middle East due to its French colonial past. Muslim countries are inherently brutal, corrupt, and oppressive due to the social/cultural foundations of tribalism and Islam. In the final analysis, the Shah was no different to the mullahs.

There are lots of Iranians in Encino and Tarzana too. Those kids always scared me as a kid. Not the nicest of ethnic groups. (especially to gay kids)

Iranians hate Arabs. They'd never move to Michigan, Florida, or NY/NJ for that reason.

The Iranians in Orange Co are Muslims.

Rich Persians in and around the west side are Jews. (Poor Persian Jews live in the Valley.)

frisco is over run with them. each lady has 5 kids, awful.....not friendly, hate dogs. damn them!
