Al Franken.
yes!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | April 23, 2018 12:49 AM |
R1, she fucked her chance by her hounding Al out of office for a minor offense. R2, oh please god yes. R3, are you insane?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | April 23, 2018 12:54 AM |
I see the OP is bored and not getting enough attention at home. Now if only he could find a more creative outlet for his boredom and narcissism.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 23, 2018 12:58 AM |
Somebody better step up soon or we are doomed.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 23, 2018 1:05 AM |
Your concern is noted r8.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 23, 2018 1:07 AM |
Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, IN. White male. Afghanistan vet. Gay married, with children. Educated, progressive, has the common touch.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 23, 2018 1:07 AM |
Michelle Obama.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 23, 2018 1:08 AM |
The frontrunner talk typically starts after midterms.
There was no Democratic frontrunner in 2005.
There was no Republican frontrunner in 1997.
There was no Democratic frontrunner in 1989. Come 1991 the Democratic frontrunners were first Harkin, then Tsongas, then Brown. But it didn't matter because Bush was guaranteed reelection with a sky-high approval rating (thanks to the Gulf War). Until he wasn't.
Concern troll is concerned. And an idiot.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 23, 2018 1:09 AM |
OP a lot of candidates will declare, and there will be this thing called the primary where one will win.
Why are you expecting or wanting a Clinton 2016 situation where there was a candidate who was already pre-ordained?!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 23, 2018 1:09 AM |
No, R13, we just Sanders to take a hike.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 23, 2018 1:11 AM |
Washington's Post's top contenders.
All losers.
Oprah is in there, too. Oprah.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 23, 2018 1:14 AM |
This is the reason Democrats are in this mess, OP. Because we're always too focused on presidential elections. Let's focus on getting back Congress. We need a Democratic Senate to be able to block any more crazy appointments, especially court appointments.
There are 3 co-equal branches of government. We need to start focusing on the other 2.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 23, 2018 1:16 AM |
Yep r17. 2020 is still a good bit away. There is a VERY important election in 2018 we need to focus on first.
All the contenders know this, that is why you want see the campaigning get underway until after the midterm elections.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 23, 2018 1:18 AM |
Warren has repeatedly said she isn't running. What the fuck does it take for people to realize.
If Bernie is number one, we're in a shitload of trouble..
by Anonymous | reply 20 | April 23, 2018 1:21 AM |
Bernie's number one mostly on the basis of name recognition. Once they start taking him apart, as Clinton never did, I'd be surprised if he has what it takes to survive.
On the other hand, if he can, then more power to him.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | April 23, 2018 1:26 AM |
fatal flaw r10: his name is Buttigieg
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 23, 2018 1:47 AM |
That ButtFuck guy is a mayor from Indiana... not ready for prime-time.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 23, 2018 3:04 AM |
It’s going to be Kamala Harris.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 23, 2018 3:16 AM |
I’d like to see an all Southern Democratic ticket. Doug Jones/Mitch Landrieu
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 23, 2018 3:19 AM |
You mean like Sanders voters want him pre-ordained for 2020, R13?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 23, 2018 3:21 AM |
Eric Holder (Obama's AG) is saying he's thinking about running. He's crazy smart and articulate. I'd vote for him before Warren or Bernie.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 23, 2018 3:21 AM |
Who is our new Buttigieg troll? Trying to push some little mayor from some Indiana town as if he were a contender.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 23, 2018 3:22 AM |
I think Biden will most definitely run and so will Sanders. Both are way too old and have baggage. Thankfully, there are a lot of good younger Dems that have time to establish themselves by mid 2019.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 23, 2018 3:25 AM |
Deval Patrick
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 23, 2018 3:31 AM |
Anyone remember when Jeb Bush was front runner? He was for years--and then the primaries actually happened.
How about when Hillary Clinton was the ordained nominee in 2006 and 2007? Then Obama happened.
Not having a front runner more than two years before the next election is a good thing.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 23, 2018 3:34 AM |
I like Joe Biden. I’m all about Biden.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 23, 2018 3:35 AM |
Not having a front runner more than two years before the next election is a good thing.
Democratic candidates historically have to make moves very early to build momentum. No shade, but Democrats are kind of lazy voters who have to be swept off our feet by a candidate. Mid 2019 is not going to cut it when you have Trump dominating the headlines everyday. Obama was getting his name out there YEARS before he even was an official candidate. He did his TV interview with Oprah more than two years before the 2008 election.
And besides the candidate, the DNC should already be executing new strategies after the 2016 disaster, to actually get people to vote in the first place. Nobody is going to win midterms or general elections if they can't energize and motivate all the key groups to vote.

What is the deal with the DL poster who keeps slobbering all over Kamala Harris' twat?
I saw her recently on Colbert. Very, VERY unimpressive.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 23, 2018 3:38 AM |
Buttigeig doesnt have kids.. his trophy husband is a small private middle school teacher tho..
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 23, 2018 3:39 AM |
Whatever Democrat makes the best case to help the poor and middle class and avoids identity politics is my choice. Hoping there's a major blue wave in 18 and we see exciting new Democrats in the Congress.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 23, 2018 3:43 AM |
I wish Adam Schiff would give it a go!
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 23, 2018 3:51 AM |
What about Connor Lamb? Would he be old enough too be president? He would be a good choice.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 23, 2018 3:53 AM |
I would love a Schiff-Duckworth ticket.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 23, 2018 4:00 AM |

Her PR flack.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 23, 2018 4:06 AM |
Eric Holder has zero charisma
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 23, 2018 4:08 AM |
Holder and Harris speak like lawyers. But they’d get the black vote out.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 23, 2018 5:28 AM |
If Beto wins Texas he's unstoppable.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 23, 2018 6:30 AM |
If Beto wins Texas he should stay there. We need a Democrat there. Badly. And if he left Ted Cruz would probably run again and get elected again. Ugh.
Schiff/Duckworth 2020. We need fighters on the ticket, and Duckworth is a fighter, she has military experience and Trump is a draft dodger. It’s hard to claim she’s un-American or unpatriotic when she’s running around on two false legs from combat injuries. Plus she enjoys baiting Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 23, 2018 6:42 AM |
Good fuckin Lord! None of you can be serious about Sanders surely?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 23, 2018 6:46 AM |
Kamala will be our 47th President...you heard it hear first. Jan 2021 she will relieve President Pence...
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 23, 2018 7:19 AM |
R44 "It’s hard to claim she’s un-American or unpatriotic when she’s running around on two false legs from combat injuries."

Tulsi Gabbard or Conor Lamb as the VP option. Get some photogenic young people to motivate the sleeping giant young voters.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | April 23, 2018 12:03 PM |
I could see a Joe Biden/Tulsi Gabbard ticket being successful.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | April 23, 2018 1:18 PM |
No, we do NOT need anymore old people running. We need an attractive younger male to run to appeal to younger voters because let’s face it - people prefer youthful and are drawn to attractiveness. Also, the last election proved the US is not ready for a female president anytime soon. Sad but true.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | April 23, 2018 2:17 PM |
Agree R17
I would love it if Duckworth or Biden ran.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | April 23, 2018 2:33 PM |
Martin O'Malley, former presidential candidate and former governor of Maryland.
Also, the last election proved the US is not ready for a female president anytime soon
by Anonymous | reply 53 | April 23, 2018 4:12 PM |
Martin O Malley is boring and he will make the Dems lose.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | April 23, 2018 4:13 PM |
R48, Conor Lamb [italic] just [/italic] completed his first full day as a member of Congress. Maybe 2024... I do see the potential with Tulsi Gabbard. She's young, progressive, military veteran, checks off a lot of boxes, and could have crossover appeal. I've seen her name thrown out a lot lately. And she could certainly help a candidate like Biden, who is perceived as having a disconnect with younger voters.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | April 23, 2018 4:55 PM |
Tulsi Gabbard is a progressive? She's a homophobe for one.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | April 23, 2018 5:00 PM |
White younger male with mixed race Hispanic VP either male or female.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | April 23, 2018 5:06 PM |
She reversed her opinion on gay marriage, which surprise, surprise, a lot of politicians (even well known Democrats, ahem) did.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | April 23, 2018 5:06 PM |
As a gay person, I take what I can get.
by Anonymous | reply 59 | April 23, 2018 5:27 PM |
I'M SO CONCERNED!!
by Anonymous | reply 60 | April 23, 2018 5:28 PM |
I'm concerned that you have no new material and are a stupid fucking troll, OP. Your unoriginal troll posts concern me.
by Anonymous | reply 61 | April 23, 2018 5:29 PM |
