I nominate Princess Fawzia of Egypt, first wife of the Shah of Iran. She looked like a Hollywood Golden Age film star - a cross between Vivien Leigh and Hedy Lamarr.
Who do you think was the most royal ever? It can be male or female.

Grace Kelly was an American commoner but she sure was a beautiful Princess of Monaco.

You nailed that description, OP. She's stunning.

The Princesses of Hesse were quite beautiful. They were granddaughters of Queen Victoria (wasn't everyone?) through Victoria's second daughter Alice. One of these women named Alix became Empress Alexandra of Russia, the tragic Tsarina of Russia. Another daughter Elizabeth "Ella" also lost her life in the Russian Revolution,
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 12, 2018 4:46 PM |
Princess Alix of Hesse had a melancholy already on display in these early portraits.

Princess Elizabeth of Hesse was considered the beauty in the family,

The Shah himself wasn't bad in his younger days.

The Shah of Iran's third wife Farah Diba (the only one to give her the sons he wanted) was a striking woman but not as beautiful as Fawzia and Soraya,

I think of Victoria's granddaughters, the two most beautiful were Queen Marie of Romania and Queen Victoria Eugenia ("Ena") of Spain.
Here's Ena:

Remember, the Hesse princesses wore no makeup at all in those photos, r19. Think about how anyone looks in a studio setting with no makeup; I'm sure they were legit very pretty.
But with all these gorgeous wives (one after another, I assume), why didn't the Shah have any children before Farah? I seem to recall Soraya couldn't have any, but Fawzia?
BTW, the looks did NOT get passed down to his kids -- I was at school with one of them, and he was pretty fug. Looked exactly like his (then-late) father, though.

I think the most beautiful MALE from the British Royal Family was the last Prince William of Gloucester,

Queen Rania of Jordan.

R22 - Fawzia had one daughter with the Shah (Shahnaz Pahlavi is pictured below with a photo of her mother Fawzia next to hers). This oldest daughter was the best looking of all of the Shah's children. Soraya never had children. Farah has two boys and two girls - all pretty plain looking,

Princess Charlotte of Monaco is the Melania Trump of Europe. Trapped in a marriage she wants no part of, unable to escape, and married to a boor who likes to sire illegitimate children (instead of grabbin'em by the pussy)
by Anonymous | reply 98 | April 12, 2018 8:58 PM |
No R98 Charlotte is a very young woman and a happy little slut like her mother. That would be princess Charlene, the wife of reigning prince Albert. Pretty, but hardly a great beauty

Also most beautiful nobles in England were mixed in with Americans and others not English. Mix it up people!

Fawzia was not stunningly beautiful, in my opinion, OP. She had dark hair and green eyes, but if you study her features closely, and imagine her with no makeup, she looks like a normal, run of the mill American girl who you see working at Denny’s.
The Shah’s to latter wives had not only more interesting facial features, but far better bone structure as well.
Grace Kelly was a true beauty. One of the most beautiful women to ever set foot in Hollywood of old, and a gorgeous royal. She had what I consider to have been a perfect face.

WIKIPEDIA _ "With his closely cropped hair and neat beard, Sergei Alexandrovich cut an impressive figure.[11] When Consuelo Vanderbilt, then Duchess of Marlborough, met him in Moscow, she considered him to be "One of the handsomest men I have ever seen." Described by his brother-in-law Ernest Louis, Grand Duke of Hesse as "tall and fair with delicate features and beautiful light green eyes". Very self-conscious, he held himself very stiffly and with a hard expression in his eyes."

The problem with Princess Fawzia was that she entered an arranged marriage. Allegedly, the Shah was in love with an Iranian girl who was not his wife, when it was “strongly” suggested that he marry Fawzia.
He treated her quite poorly, and neither loved each other.
Allegedly, she was rescued from the horrible marriage by her family, and brought back home to recover. However, she was forced to leave her daughter behind in Iran.
She had begged and pleaded not to marry the Shah, and her only defenders were her mother and sister. The men had all made up their minds, unfortunately, and she looks miserable in every picture because she was miserable in a loveless, abusive marriage.
I’m not certain that the Shah physically abused her, but it was widely rumored that he verbally berated her constantly, and treated her like shit.

R266, I agree. But I LOVE the person who posted Anastasia of Beverly Hills. Lol!!!
Lot’s of these royals were average and inbred.
Charles is very lucky to have reproduced some handsome sons with Diana, ugly as he is. Only Philip and Margaret were anything to really look at in that family before Diana’s children. Harry is the handsome ginger. His brother, not as good looking but not ghastly.
The Spaniards had and have some good genes in their pool, as do the Swedes.
Let’s see who Megan and Harry reproduce. Hopefully, none of the children will resemble their grandfather, Charles, and some adorable babies will be in tow with mom and pops soon.

Eyebrow game and nose job elevate average to otherworldly. In my days I've witnessed a ton of gals who opted for investing in breast enhancements when they should have invested in their visages.😂

Grand Duchess Maria, the third daughter of Nicholas and Alexandra of Russia, was the prettiest of the sisters. All were murdered by the Bolsheviks.
Fun fact: Lord Louis Mountbatten, Prince Philip's uncle, always thought that when he grew up, he and Maria would marry. Alas, they never got the chance.

Queen Mathilde of the Belgians. I love her natural beauty, her enthusiasm for her job, her vivacious personality and that gorgeous colored dress. She's the Queen of Spring!

Italian-born Paola (Princess of Liege and then Queen of Belgium) was a great beauty in her day.

Her nose was too big to be called "The Most Beautiful Royal of All Time" but Diana had charisma, pizzazz and glamour galore! She was a breath of fresh air. It's too bad Charles couldn't be proud of his wife instead of being jealous of her popularity.

I agree with multiple posters above who say that Grace Kelly was the most beautiful royal, as far as women are concerned.
Her face was perfect, even as she aged. She had those gorgeous almond shaped eyes, a perfect nose that either came about from a bit of tweaking via a competent plastic surgeon, or she was born with it. She also had a perfect mouth. Not too big, not too small. She was a bit full faced, and it suited her well.
I judge beauty by how a woman looks like without makeup. Grace Kelly didn’t need much of it, and when she did wear makeup, it was minimal, with her signature red lipstick.
Women who have her features are beautiful. Period, end of story. She was absolutely breathtaking.
Yes, beauty or the perception of beauty is subjective. It comes in all different shapes, colors, and sizes. However, we are currently living in a time where women are caking their faces to the point of clownship, for lack of a better made up word on the fly. They’re masking their natural beauty, or lack thereof, to the point of resembling drag queens. I find this whole new IG culture of overly made up faces, wigs, tattooed eyebrows, and fish lips quite distasteful. I cannot understand how straight men would want to hook up with women who look like they’re wearing mortuary makeup.
Gross.

by Anonymous | reply 386 | April 25, 2018 5:06 PM |
Grace Kelly WAS indeed near flawless looking...but we should also remember most of the images of her we're familiar with are Hollywood portraits that had thousands and thousands of dollars worth of professional aid poured into them, off camera.
No one really walks around looking like this:

I love her quote when someone asked her why she was giving up a career for marriage:
[quote]I'll tell you one of the reasons I'm ready to leave. When I first came to Hollywood five years ago, my makeup call was at eight in the morning. On this movie, it's been put back to seven-thirty. Every day, I see Joan Crawford, who's been in makeup since five, and Loretta Young, who's been there since four in the morning. I'll be goddamned if I'm going to stay in a business where I have to get up earlier and earlier and it takes longer and longer for me to get in front of a camera.

R388, I don’t know how to post photos, but there is a black and white Howell Conant photo of Grace Kelly in a pool of water with no makeup and her wet hair slicked back that shows she really didn’t need to make up like your photo (which was stunning, by the way) to be beautiful......I think the pic you posted was a Howell Conant as well.....

Eugénie de Montijo was considered so beautiful in her day that Napoleon III married her even though she was considered far beneath him socially by the French and the other Bonaparetes. (Though at the time of their marriage the London Times pointed out he was actually marrying UP by British standards, since she came of old Spanish noble stock and he was an upstart Bonaparte.)
When they met (when he was emperor), he came on to her ,as he was wont to do with beautiful women, and said, "What is the way to your heart, my dear?" and she supposedly answered, "Through the chapel, sire." He was smitten and married her.

A lot of Queen Victoria's granddaughters were beauties or pretty enough. Elizabeth and Alix of Hesse, Victoria Eugenia of Battenberg, Alice of Albany, Marie and Beatrice of Edinburgh, Marie Louise of Schleswig-Holstein were all beauties. Margaret and Patricia of Connaught, Victoria of Wales, Victoria and Irene of Hesse were pretty enough. The rest, tho not beautiful, and whereas QV daughters were on the fat side, all has tiny waists and dressed exquisitely.
