No more personals on craigslist?

Clicked on personals and this is what’s there...

“US Congress just passed HR 1865, "FOSTA", seeking to subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully.

Any tool or service can be misused. We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.

To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!”

by Anonymousreply 477September 2, 2019 3:15 PM

There are millions of married men crying right now.

by Anonymousreply 1March 23, 2018 2:33 AM

Adios muchachos, compañeros de mi vida!

by Anonymousreply 2March 23, 2018 2:33 AM

"To the millions of...partners...who met through craigslist..."

by Anonymousreply 3March 23, 2018 2:36 AM

Had no idea this was happening.

by Anonymousreply 4March 23, 2018 2:36 AM

omg, I collected thousands of pics of straight men by posting fake ads!"

fah reel doe

crying

by Anonymousreply 5March 23, 2018 2:36 AM

There goes my hidden hotel cams.

by Anonymousreply 6March 23, 2018 2:41 AM

Wow! I thought OP was joking and I just checked Craigslist -- it's true. Why isn't this on all the news?

by Anonymousreply 7March 23, 2018 2:45 AM

But what about all those gym missed connections!

by Anonymousreply 8March 23, 2018 2:46 AM

one of the best to meet other men

by Anonymousreply 9March 23, 2018 2:48 AM

Buying stock in the Bro app in 3, 2....

by Anonymousreply 10March 23, 2018 2:52 AM

Holy shit, that sucks

by Anonymousreply 11March 23, 2018 2:53 AM

The Canadian Craigslist still works.

by Anonymousreply 12March 23, 2018 2:53 AM

OK, What other web based sites are out there that could replace it? Most Married DL guys do not want to risk using one of the Hook up Apps.

Help them out guys. Post options.

by Anonymousreply 13March 23, 2018 2:54 AM

Yes, Rose, Canada does not have US Congress.

by Anonymousreply 14March 23, 2018 2:54 AM

Good for CL. I love when these companies tell politicians to stick it.

by Anonymousreply 15March 23, 2018 2:54 AM

Craigslist has been mostly abandoned in recent years.

by Anonymousreply 16March 23, 2018 2:54 AM

Would it really be that hard to create an anonymous board for personals?

by Anonymousreply 17March 23, 2018 2:55 AM

Oh really, R14? We didn't know that.

by Anonymousreply 18March 23, 2018 2:56 AM

So who ruined it for everyone? The pedos? the hookers?

by Anonymousreply 19March 23, 2018 2:57 AM

Grindr's membership just went through the roof.

by Anonymousreply 20March 23, 2018 2:58 AM

What is the Bro app? TIA

by Anonymousreply 21March 23, 2018 2:59 AM

Do you have to post your picture on Grindr?

by Anonymousreply 22March 23, 2018 3:00 AM

Wow. Every meth dealer in my town just shot themselves.

by Anonymousreply 23March 23, 2018 3:01 AM

I've fucked so many hot married guys on there. I can't believe they shut it down. I don't have any of the hook up apps, and I do liek fucking married men. Less commitment, etc. And they aren't likely to have the apps, either. So...here's hoping something else takes its place soon. The aol chat room is due for a comeback!

by Anonymousreply 24March 23, 2018 3:01 AM

Do not get to excited guys. Grindr could be next. The Bill includes APPS and even facebook (see last few sentences)

With bipartisan enthusiasm, the U.S. House of Representatives has just passed a bill that would endanger sex workers, make life even worse for human trafficking survivors, put both free speech and social media in serious jeopardy, and drastically expand federal prosecutorial power.

The bill, H.R. 1865, is euphemistically named the "Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act" (FOSTA), despite the fact that there's nothing stopping state authorities from punishing sex traffickers and their allies at present and despite the fact that trafficking victims can already sue abusers in civil court. FOSTA's actual targets are adults consensually engaging in prostitution as well as web platforms that allow user-generated content.

One of many similarly misleading bills that have gained traction in recent years, FOSTA amends Section 230 of the federal Communications Decency Act to hold online publishers, apps, and services legally liable for the actions of people who post there or connect through them. What this means in practice is that social media sites such as Snapchat and Facebook, classified ad sites such as Craigslist and Backpage, chat APPS, search engines, and many other communication tools could be both criminally charged and sued in civil court—by individuals or by states—anytime anyone uses them to meet someone with whom they would eventually engage in commercial sex.

by Anonymousreply 25March 23, 2018 3:03 AM

Rentmen.com will probably be gone too. Right??

by Anonymousreply 26March 23, 2018 3:04 AM

Hopefully you sluts saved some emails and numbers.

by Anonymousreply 27March 23, 2018 3:05 AM

Everything's being shut down in the name of stopping "sex trafficking", as if its some epidemic.

by Anonymousreply 28March 23, 2018 3:07 AM

I think the bro app is for masc straight dudebros who dabble in the homosex after a few drinks.

by Anonymousreply 29March 23, 2018 3:07 AM

Porn is next.

by Anonymousreply 30March 23, 2018 3:08 AM

Therapeutic (massage) services section is still open.

by Anonymousreply 31March 23, 2018 3:17 AM

Was it because of all the ro$es?

by Anonymousreply 32March 23, 2018 3:19 AM

Yes.

by Anonymousreply 33March 23, 2018 3:20 AM

You may be right [r30] Florida already declared porn "A public health risk" It is not impossible.

by Anonymousreply 34March 23, 2018 3:21 AM

Can people see your Grindr app on your iPhone?

by Anonymousreply 35March 23, 2018 3:21 AM

Well the good news, is local parks will have lots of foot traffic once again.

by Anonymousreply 36March 23, 2018 3:23 AM

No they won't! This is only the beginning of what will be happening.

by Anonymousreply 37March 23, 2018 3:24 AM

R35, not if it's three swipes deep.

by Anonymousreply 38March 23, 2018 3:26 AM

If you download Grindr on an iPhone from the App Store there is a permanent record of the purchase in your account. You can delete it from your phone but not your account. The only way to get rid of it would be to delete your account. At least the last time I checked it was still that way. If there is a way to get around it please post it.

by Anonymousreply 39March 23, 2018 3:28 AM

R38 = thank you!

by Anonymousreply 40March 23, 2018 3:28 AM

Backpage is still up. For now. But on Backpage they now only post pics and phone numbers, no ad content..

by Anonymousreply 41March 23, 2018 3:28 AM

Bro wants to use ur Facebook to login. And cellphone #

by Anonymousreply 42March 23, 2018 3:37 AM

I'm going through Backpage right now. Interesting.

by Anonymousreply 43March 23, 2018 3:40 AM

adam4adam is still going

by Anonymousreply 44March 23, 2018 3:40 AM

Ok, Backpage is all escort, not just hooking up.

by Anonymousreply 45March 23, 2018 3:44 AM

How is a ho to make a living? It’s hard out here for a pimp

by Anonymousreply 46March 23, 2018 3:47 AM

The sex trafficking hysteria is truly something to behold. Like the "white slavery" of the 21st century.

by Anonymousreply 47March 23, 2018 3:57 AM

Grindr is full of trans womyn anyways.

by Anonymousreply 48March 23, 2018 3:57 AM

So odd this was never really covered in the news.

by Anonymousreply 49March 23, 2018 4:02 AM

More like Grindr killed it.

by Anonymousreply 50March 23, 2018 4:27 AM

About fucking time

by Anonymousreply 51March 23, 2018 4:34 AM

This was in order to make Facebook, Twitter, etc. able to be held responsible for things like the Russian election attack, right? But, of course, the actual effects will be to stifle the internet, just like the repeal of net neutrality will stifle the internet. Those in power don't want free access to unlimited information and connection for the huddled masses.

This could easily effect Datalounge, no? If they can now be held responsible for the things we say, what's to keep them from shutting this down?

by Anonymousreply 52March 23, 2018 4:36 AM

Pornhub and gayforit are down, it has begun.

by Anonymousreply 53March 23, 2018 4:37 AM

Pornhub is still up.

by Anonymousreply 54March 23, 2018 4:39 AM

R53's mommy put the parental controls back on the family Dell.

by Anonymousreply 55March 23, 2018 5:25 AM

It's the end of the internet as we know it. With that said, CL personals were the bottom of the barrel. If you hooked up with guys on there, you're most likely trash.

by Anonymousreply 56March 23, 2018 5:43 AM

r56, there was a time when all the hot married guys were on craigslist. Not trash at all.

by Anonymousreply 57March 23, 2018 12:04 PM

Yeah, there we a lot of hot dl guys on Craigslist. I used to use a little trick on there and post in the m4trans section asking who wants to ride, with just a picture of my dick. You’d be surprised how many muscle closeted bottoms want to ride trans dick. A lot of construction workers and personal trainers. Go figure. Maybe 30% would be down once they found out I didn’t have tits.

by Anonymousreply 58March 23, 2018 12:25 PM

Good. Those things were so trashy and sleazy. All the guys looked like they walked straight out of a Rob Zombie movie. I bet all of them are ridden with disease. The same ones posted ads there almost weekly. I hated seeing all the cheating spouses as well. If you aren't happy with someone for whatever reason then talk about it with them or just leave. No need to cheat. I personally never did a Craigslist hookup. I just read the posts and looked at the pictures. I do think the world is better off without it, though.

by Anonymousreply 59March 23, 2018 12:45 PM

I could never last more than a few minutes browsing those ads before my stomach would begin churning. Just nasty. Caught my ex bf meeting guys off CL once and that was it--he was dead to me.

by Anonymousreply 60March 23, 2018 12:52 PM

Dating apps are next.

by Anonymousreply 61March 23, 2018 1:10 PM

What about Match.com and Christianmingle? They can all potentially be used for luring & murdering!

by Anonymousreply 62March 23, 2018 1:21 PM

My pussy stinks!

by Anonymousreply 63March 23, 2018 1:21 PM

"This was in order to make Facebook, Twitter, etc. able to be held responsible for things like the Russian election attack, right?" No, absolutely not, R52.

You really think a Republican controlled government wants to hold corporations responsible for much of anything? Have you not noticed ANYTHING that has happened in American in the last 18 months?

This is about the right wing being anti-sex. Too many people connecting and enjoying themselves openly. Republicans can't stand that. They want it all buttoned down, covered up, and deniable.

There is, of course, some activity in human trafficking. But there always has been, throughout the entire history of the world. They use that as the excuse to use a bludgeon on personal ads. The vast, vast, VAST majority of young people swept up in the sex trade are not immigrants imported for that purpose, but our own kids, neglected by their own parents, pushed out of their own homes onto the streets, left with few to no services, and forced by circumstance and our callous national neglect to sell their bodies for a warm meal and a warm place to sleep. But the Republicans will NEVER acknowledge that.

by Anonymousreply 64March 23, 2018 1:24 PM

Soon we'll all be using the newspaper classifieds again. Thanks, Trump!

by Anonymousreply 65March 23, 2018 1:26 PM

Maybe this will save Jonny McGovern’s relationships.

by Anonymousreply 66March 23, 2018 2:20 PM

It's not just the right. Amy Klobuchar is big on the sex trafficking hysteria as well.

by Anonymousreply 67March 23, 2018 2:30 PM

There's always the Penny Saver lonely hearts ads.

by Anonymousreply 68March 23, 2018 2:31 PM

there goes my sex life..

by Anonymousreply 69March 23, 2018 3:01 PM

Have you ever heard of a gay bar?

by Anonymousreply 70March 23, 2018 3:09 PM

The much-desired married straight cock don't go to the gay bars.

by Anonymousreply 71March 23, 2018 3:14 PM

Yup, it's over. The end of an era.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 72March 23, 2018 3:15 PM

Some of you DLers have really been deprived if you never found the hot married and closeted guys on craigslist.

by Anonymousreply 73March 23, 2018 3:16 PM

There are so many women and men out there who used CL to hook, Just trying to make some money. I doubt there was much sex trafficking at all happening on CL. They are just trying to discourage sex work.

by Anonymousreply 74March 23, 2018 3:21 PM

But isn't it even Facebook, Instagram , and maybe even twitter can be misused as well?

by Anonymousreply 75March 23, 2018 3:22 PM

Oh thank God, r68.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 76March 23, 2018 3:22 PM

r74 Yes, and they're going after the porn sites next under the same pretence.

by Anonymousreply 77March 23, 2018 3:29 PM

The escort sites are going to shut themselves down soon - or be shut down by the feds.

by Anonymousreply 78March 23, 2018 3:32 PM

I'm poor as dirt so I wouldn't care if the escort sites all went down tomorrow. However, I would very much like to jack off to a porn video or two now and then, so I hope they don't take that away from us.

by Anonymousreply 79March 23, 2018 3:38 PM

The following will happen

1. Bathhouse visits by married men will increase exponentially.

2. Married men will buy "burner" smartphones to use the apps on

3. Adult Bookstores, Tearooms, Public Parks and the like will surge in popularity.

4. Some enterprising millennial or Gen X will come up with an app designed specifically for married DL guys

5. Heterosexual Man on Woman domestic violence will increase due to sexual frustration and needs not being met.

by Anonymousreply 80March 23, 2018 3:44 PM

This is just blowjob killing regulation!

by Anonymousreply 81March 23, 2018 3:56 PM

So why isn't Grindr freaking out over this new legislation as well?

by Anonymousreply 82March 23, 2018 3:59 PM

It's the trannies fault!

by Anonymousreply 83March 23, 2018 4:16 PM

Fucking do nothing Congress has finally done something! Of course, half those closet cases used that service and now they’re fucked (or not, ahem) too!

by Anonymousreply 84March 23, 2018 8:27 PM

I've had A LOT of amazing hook ups in NYC on Craigslist. This sucks.

by Anonymousreply 85March 23, 2018 8:30 PM

This is the first sign of the Apocolypse !!! Wait for the ban on sexual lubricants !!

by Anonymousreply 86March 23, 2018 8:34 PM

What I always wondered was how profitable these ads were for Craigslist? They were free and I guess they brought people to the site but it wasn't like the closet case looking to get their dick sucked would also buy a used car while they were on the site. Or maybe they would?

by Anonymousreply 87March 23, 2018 8:39 PM

I’m gonna open a porn shop and charge 20 dollar entry to any man free to roam around and watch videos. I’ll make a fortune. If I build it, they will cum.

by Anonymousreply 88March 23, 2018 8:42 PM

I never use CraigsList but I did occasional look for chuckles, but I can't believe that the closet case Republican Congress shut down one of their top hook-up sites. Or is this a case of unintended consequences?

by Anonymousreply 89March 23, 2018 8:49 PM

Can't you just use missed connections, or general, or even help wanted? Those are still all there, or will CL be on the hunt for people using other headings.

by Anonymousreply 90March 23, 2018 8:52 PM

Fucking around with cheating married guys is skeevy.

by Anonymousreply 91March 23, 2018 9:04 PM

Oh please r64. The far left will Ben equally to blame for the death of the internet as we know it. Did you see the hysteria that followed the Facebook news this week. DL all of a sudden resembled the comments section of breitbart. They were salivating at the prospect of facebooks downfall. You’ll come to find that Facebook will be known as the Harvey Weinstein of social media, with controversy after controversy engineered by both the right and left, albeit for different reasons. What’s more enraging about the left though is their hypocrisy toward net neutrality, which can only exist with personal accountability.

by Anonymousreply 92March 23, 2018 9:30 PM

The writing was on the wall when sites started removing their comments sections due to hate speech. No company wants to be to held responsible for the actions, or even just words, of their users.

by Anonymousreply 93March 23, 2018 9:42 PM

In the NYC Brooklyn section, it was usually the same 20 posting a few times a day. Over and over. You could flag them but they would just come back. Good riddance.

by Anonymousreply 94March 23, 2018 9:52 PM

Pornhub isn't down.

by Anonymousreply 95March 23, 2018 10:09 PM

[quote]Buying stock in the Bro app in 3, 2....

The what?

by Anonymousreply 96March 23, 2018 10:14 PM

It is primarily the Democrats who are in support of this.

They are trying to virtue signal their solidarity with the #metoo movement.

And also trying to protect illegal alien (ie, non-American) victims of sex trafficking.

Republicans do not give a shit about sex trafficking, as the victims are mostly poor women.

You can thank the Amy Klobuchars and the Kirsten Gillibrands of the Congress for pushing this puritanical agenda.

by Anonymousreply 97March 23, 2018 10:34 PM

I am so lost without craigslist. Such hot guys. I had such great time with some guys I met there. Why does congress see the need to get into private lives of people?

by Anonymousreply 98March 23, 2018 10:38 PM

I love that it is gone and hope it never returns. It is trash and a plague on our society.

by Anonymousreply 99March 23, 2018 10:41 PM

This is utter bullshit. If Congress was really serious about cracking down on human trafficking, they'd start cracking down on Trump and his Russian buddies, including Putin, whose stock in trade is human trafficking, slavery and drug dealing, not to mention racketeering and money laundering.

by Anonymousreply 100March 23, 2018 10:46 PM

I think the pervs are now going to craigslist > forums > m4m forum. lol

by Anonymousreply 101March 23, 2018 10:46 PM

R97 you can see that same puritanical attitude in posts like r99. I’m not for dumping the baby out with the bath water. One mans filth is another mans treasure.

by Anonymousreply 102March 23, 2018 10:46 PM

Can we get around it by posting ads in Canadian cities to meet in the USA?

by Anonymousreply 103March 23, 2018 10:52 PM

Hungry Cocksucker eh. Looking to suck the maple syrup outta ya eh. (Upper West Side)

[quote] You really think a Republican controlled government wants to hold corporations responsible for much of anything? Have you not noticed ANYTHING that has happened in American in the last 18 months?

You must be living in some alternate reality. Breaking up social media has been the MO for the Republican party for a long time now. This decision by Craigslist was due to government intervention. If it's determined by lawmakers that Facebook gathered and disseminated information illegally, other companies will drop the hammer regardless of what users may want. Both Democrats and Republicans now view social media as the enemy since they want to silence opposition.

Users should be entrusted to form their own opinions based on supported evidence, or when presented with insufficient information, use the vast resources available to them to research articles themselves. Opinions are just that, and don't need to be supported by facts or evidence, although presenting them can make someones case much more compelling. The problem is you have political activists on both sides who think the vast majority of Americans are too stupid to think for themselves.

by Anonymousreply 106March 24, 2018 12:30 AM

R64, if you think the anti- sex trafficking is coming from Republicans, you are very naive. This is being pushed by the feminists and the far left.

by Anonymousreply 107March 24, 2018 12:55 AM

Anyone start to notice that, in the U.S., the last year or so, we can't have nice things?

I wonder why?

by Anonymousreply 108March 24, 2018 1:00 AM

[reply 103} I think you can post on Canada craigslist. But what city would you pick and how would everyone in your city know which one to use to post. Your city location would be needed to eliminate the Canadian posts when looking. Great Idea though.

by Anonymousreply 109March 24, 2018 1:08 AM

This has Democrats written all over it.

by Anonymousreply 110March 24, 2018 1:11 AM

Thanks Boris^ for your input. Now get lost.

by Anonymousreply 111March 24, 2018 1:13 AM

R108 I agree in the sense that Trump is at least indirectly responsible for what's going on but you got to wonder why there was no outrage over Facebook collecting data until we found out that they may have helped elect Trump. All common sense has left the building. Tipper Gore's legacy remains intact.

by Anonymousreply 112March 24, 2018 1:14 AM

R109-Yes but what if craigslist creates mirror sites in Canada for major cities of USA to host m4m. I think that might work. But they have to specify that they are in Canada. So they do not run into US law issues.

by Anonymousreply 113March 24, 2018 1:33 AM

Nobody used Craigslist personals anyways except trailer trash, ugly old men, and cheaters. No big loss.

by Anonymousreply 114March 24, 2018 1:37 AM

A bit of a digression-- in light of the Cambridge.Facebook news, can any FB users see in retrospect how they may have been targeted, from data about them? Like certain ads or news stories they received?

by Anonymousreply 115March 24, 2018 2:25 AM

Ah, yes. Craigslist Brooklyn M4M. "Frum guy seeks frum guy...."

The only time I fuckeed a Hasid was because of Craigslist Brooklyn. A transgressive experience best not repeated.

by Anonymousreply 116March 24, 2018 2:31 AM

R115 Yes, they always could simply by logging into Facebook without an ad blocker.

by Anonymousreply 117March 24, 2018 2:54 AM

[quote]This has Democrats written all over it.

And your post has Russian Troll written all over it.

by Anonymousreply 118March 24, 2018 3:02 AM

Republicans control every branch of government including both houses of congress. How the FUCK does anything have “Democrats written all over it?”

by Anonymousreply 119March 24, 2018 3:04 AM

Would there be any way to create a private, member only site requiring you to sign a waver of some kind removing their liability? I am sure there was something like this when you used craigslist but maybe it just needs reworded.

by Anonymousreply 120March 24, 2018 3:05 AM

I guess the repukes think we should go back to the Larry Craig method of meeting men. Tap Tap

by Anonymousreply 121March 24, 2018 3:09 AM

R119 It is evident from the posts in this very thread that both parties want to restrict social media and are in favor of much more stringent regulations. People who have been posting in the various FB threads have even called on Zuckerberg to go to prison not realizing the implications this has for the future of internet sharing.

by Anonymousreply 122March 24, 2018 3:13 AM

[quote] It is evident from the posts in this very thread that both parties want to restrict social media

Oh so now “the posts in this very thread” are the source of information for the thread? No, that’s not how it works, Oleg.

by Anonymousreply 123March 24, 2018 3:20 AM

As long as Karen McDougal and Stormy still have visiting rights, who gives a fuck about all your closet fag hookups.. oh wait...shit 60 minutes

by Anonymousreply 124March 24, 2018 3:26 AM

Someone wrote a eulogy to the craiglist sex personals and it wasn't a gay man. I always thought a woman would be too chicken to hunt down casual sex through the personals on Craigslist. Guess I was wrong.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 125March 24, 2018 3:27 AM

I am a straight woman who has used CL for a casual encounter or two. Not all of us are chicken and sometimes want no strings attached with a big dick...

by Anonymousreply 126March 24, 2018 3:32 AM

I met lots of fun guys on Craigslist, and most of them turned into more than just a one time trick. It was nice to have fuck buds and the ability to post exactly what you were looking for at that minute and have offers.

by Anonymousreply 127March 24, 2018 3:33 AM

[quote]If you hooked up with guys on there, you're most likely trash.

Maybe so but I’m well-fucked trash.

by Anonymousreply 128March 24, 2018 6:00 AM

Yeah, I second all of the posts about the hot, closeted "straight"/bi guys who were so easy to find on CL. I topped a ton of them in the Los Angeles vicinity. I would guess that 90% of those men would NEVER download a gay hookup app, go to a gay bar or bath house, or ever step foot in a cruisy park, etc. CL was really their major outlet for male/male sex. I don't know for certain, but I believe that most had girlfriends or were married. I think that it is relatively easy to hide some secret, random email account (that you can access from anywhere) while next to impossible to hide an app from a nosy spouse (and most have a family data plan anyway..). Moral of the story - this sucks.

by Anonymousreply 129March 24, 2018 6:30 AM

Now I'll never find true love.

by Anonymousreply 130March 24, 2018 6:36 AM

I actually got the best sex from strangers on Craigslist as recently as 2012. Good looking guys, who were disease free and most of them were actually really nice too. It's a shame.

by Anonymousreply 131March 24, 2018 6:38 AM

R131 - me too

by Anonymousreply 132March 24, 2018 11:26 AM

The worst part of this is that the same politicians who passed it probably hope it won’t ultimately get passed because they use it.

by Anonymousreply 133March 24, 2018 11:37 AM

ANYONE can find true love at the cheese counter in any Whole Foods Market.

by Anonymousreply 134March 24, 2018 11:42 AM

I have met a couple of DL guys off Craiglist. Fun times.

by Anonymousreply 135March 24, 2018 12:20 PM

Why cannot Craigslist just run m4m?

by Anonymousreply 136March 24, 2018 12:24 PM

R106 Unfortunately, Democrats too. They promote censorship under the guise of protecting against hate speech.

by Anonymousreply 137March 24, 2018 12:32 PM

CL should move their headquarters to Mexico! Stick it to the man!

by Anonymousreply 138March 24, 2018 12:56 PM

[quote]I second all of the posts about the hot, closeted "straight"/bi guys who were so easy to find on CL. I topped a ton of them in the Los Angeles vicinity.

Do closeted "straight"/bi guys know how to properly douche their asses out though?

by Anonymousreply 139March 24, 2018 12:57 PM

That's the million dollar question, R139. Homewreckers, what's your experience?

by Anonymousreply 140March 24, 2018 1:03 PM

You guys have to be more resourceful. Craigslist personals still work in Canada.

You can still pick up down low trade in Saskatoon. For example.

by Anonymousreply 141March 24, 2018 1:07 PM

Exactly R137. It’s the Democrats that want censorship like this. They want to legislate every public arena, both in the real world and online, into a “safe space”.

This is an idea pushes by the far left, and the Dems in Congress have fully accepted it.

Fuck them all... vote out the Democrats. I want my married straight cock.

by Anonymousreply 142March 24, 2018 1:20 PM

R139, I’m a top. When an eager bottom stops by, they are welcomed to use the bathroom. I have fresh towels, they can take a shower, I have Fleet enemas on hand, mouthwash, condoms, and lube. I offer beverages, such as coffee, water and soda.

I try to put them at ease, because some of the guys are nervous. The guys, at this point, are comfortable and relaxed and are ready to play.

by Anonymousreply 143March 24, 2018 1:26 PM

" When an eager bottom stops by, they are welcomed to use the bathroom. I have fresh towels, they can take a shower, I have Fleet enemas on hand, mouthwash, condoms, and lube. I offer beverages, such as coffee, water and soda. "

What a lot of work. He didn't even mention vacuuming, dusting, and putting fresh sheets on the bed. This is why I go to the baths.

by Anonymousreply 144March 24, 2018 1:28 PM

Martha Stewart @ R143!

by Anonymousreply 145March 24, 2018 1:30 PM

Exactly, R145. It takes a lot of prep work to have a tray of home baked profiteroles on hand for your Craigslist trick.

by Anonymousreply 146March 24, 2018 1:33 PM

Legislating bedroom that is what they are doing. They are making excuses but that is ultimately the goal.

by Anonymousreply 147March 24, 2018 1:40 PM

R105 that chat site is BS and overrun by a clique of agoraphobic shut-in queens with no sense of humor

by Anonymousreply 148March 24, 2018 2:01 PM

R143 here. This works for me and I want my guests to be comfortable. When they’re comfortable, it makes for an enjoyable experience. Besides, being a thoughtful, kind, welcoming and sensitive host is my paramount concern.

by Anonymousreply 149March 24, 2018 2:05 PM

The pic collectors must be devastated

by Anonymousreply 150March 24, 2018 2:05 PM

R143 I do the same thing, I hate it when I go to someone's place for sex and it's a mess, I usually leave. Household cleanliness is directly linked to personal cleanliness I have found. If they have a dirty toilet they will have a dirty ass.

by Anonymousreply 151March 24, 2018 2:06 PM

Craigslist was good for finding DL guys who wanted to get their dick sucked and wanted to suck yours.

by Anonymousreply 152March 24, 2018 3:30 PM

R137, R142, Boris, Natasha: The bill was sponsored by Rep. Wagner, Ann [R-MO-2], and that little 'R' in the brackets means REPUBLICAN, like the majority of cosponsors. Yes, there were Democratic co-sponsors, and as you'd guess, they come mostly from exactly where you'd expect: Alabama, Idaho, the parts of PA and CA that might as well be in Jesusland. So yes, let's vote them ALL out and replace them with real Democrats who are on the front lines of fighting for progressive causes like Net Neutrality, the ACA, and gay rights.

Let's put it this way: if the Democrats were in charge, this bill would have never been brought up for a vote. Further, let's note that Craigslist did this to garner attention because the bill has not been voted on by the Senate nor signed into law by The Republicans Unqualified Moron President, or TRUMP.

Look up whether your representative voted for this piece of crap, and if they did, call or write them to tell them of your disapproval and that you'll vote for their primary opponent (if they're Democratic) or for their opponent altogether (if they're Republican).

by Anonymousreply 153March 24, 2018 3:33 PM

There was a lot of BS and nonsense in those CL personals...not saying I agree with it, but its true.

Plus, anytime you get a closure like this, openings occur...especially now when replacements are dreamt up and instituted quicker than you can boot up your cell.

by Anonymousreply 154March 24, 2018 4:04 PM

Anyone hearing from recent tricks whose CL email hasn't expired yet?

by Anonymousreply 155March 24, 2018 7:07 PM

How many times did it not work out before one actually did? It seems like a bunch a crap to sift through. It always seemed like a bunch of disgusting pictures and grotesque offerings for the most part.

by Anonymousreply 156March 24, 2018 7:16 PM

Craigslist worked pretty well for me, I don't really like going out to bars and not into the whole hook-up app thing, I really don't need someone seeing my face on Scruff for nine hours just because I logged in once to check to see who is around.

Craigslist was a convenient way of meeting other horny guys who just wanted to get off. The phone apps seem to be just guys playing games....... woofing at each other.

by Anonymousreply 157March 24, 2018 7:21 PM

R157 Damn, why did Craigslist personals have to go away before I found out how good it was? I too got tired of the phone apps.

by Anonymousreply 158March 24, 2018 7:48 PM

R157 agree

by Anonymousreply 159March 24, 2018 8:20 PM

R139 - I have been lucky for the most part. Sure I have fucked a few less than tidy butts, however the majority were just fine. The rule of thumb is to make sure that you find them hot enough that a little bit of smudge will not turn you off. Of course, a bottom who gives you a full-on chili dog is no go - LOL.

by Anonymousreply 160March 24, 2018 8:30 PM

Is there an inverse relationship between frequency of CL use and standards?

by Anonymousreply 161March 24, 2018 8:45 PM

CL was only really good for a few things: DL/straight/bi guys who you would not find elsewhere, fetishes such as spanking/toys/watersports/fisting/scat, tranny chasers and local fuck parties. Some of these might be your cup of tea, while others are not. CL hasn't been your source of bread and butter hook-ups since the advent of men4sexnow and adam4adam. By the time the Grindr was a thing - it was all over for CL...

by Anonymousreply 162March 24, 2018 8:56 PM

Do all the straight and married guys really use Grindr?

by Anonymousreply 163March 24, 2018 9:18 PM

They do not R163 - as stated above, they mostly use/used CL.

by Anonymousreply 164March 24, 2018 9:53 PM

Damn, there was a stunning married man I met at a bathhouse two years ago. I’ve thought about him from time to time.

A month ago, I saw what I figured was a post from him on CL. There was a photo of him from the neck down. I’ve been thinking about writing him back.

Now that the CL personals section is gone, I’ll never get the chance!!

by Anonymousreply 165March 24, 2018 10:15 PM

Aren't the other apps going to go by the wayside as well due to this bill? Why wouldn't Grindr and others be affected the same way?

by Anonymousreply 166March 24, 2018 10:20 PM

Apps arent used by the people this bill targeted. I think it was to thwart the pimping of young women on Craigslist. The casual encounters section was full of escort ads. The pimps setup at a motel and have the girls run ads all day. Gay apps might have some tweakers offering sex for money but nothing on the scale of the CL.

I think it sucks either way but cockblocking gay guys (and fake "str8") wasn't the primary objective.

by Anonymousreply 167March 24, 2018 10:31 PM

Does anyone under 60 still use a bath house?

by Anonymousreply 168March 24, 2018 10:46 PM

The guys I met on CL were just as attractive as the people who use the phone apps, also not freaky and not weird, they just chose that easy and anonymous way of meeting other guys. It was a simple system and it worked very well, also I only ever met one guy who was a little muddy down there.... and he was a gay guy. The married guys were always clean, also lots of fun and pretty much knew what they wanted.

by Anonymousreply 169March 25, 2018 1:08 AM

R169 = Self-hating. Bet your hung like a toddler.

by Anonymousreply 170March 25, 2018 1:21 AM

^^^ Why is it self hating to enjoy having sex with other guys?

by Anonymousreply 171March 25, 2018 1:33 AM

R171 You're complaining about 'gay men' in your post, microdick.

by Anonymousreply 172March 25, 2018 2:02 AM

Nope, i'm not complaining about gay men, I love gay men. I stated the only time I've had a problem with a shitty bottom it's been a gay guy. I guess reading comprehension is not your area.

by Anonymousreply 173March 25, 2018 2:42 AM

R173 Are you bi?

by Anonymousreply 174March 25, 2018 3:08 AM

This Act was opposed by the Department of Justice and by actual victims of sex trafficking, who believed it would not actually help anyone.

It’s something that should be protested.

R162: exactly, this is a tragic development for us fetishists. Where will I find fellow perverts now?

by Anonymousreply 178March 25, 2018 8:07 AM

Please see R176,'s link -- this was pushed by SJWs and Hollywood liberals - all in the name of "protecting women".

by Anonymousreply 179March 25, 2018 11:31 AM

Craigslist was ruined long ago by the fat old queens who faked ads to get pictures.

by Anonymousreply 180March 25, 2018 1:37 PM

by Anonymousreply 181March 25, 2018 1:44 PM

I used CL to hook up with straight guys. I'd been using it on and off for two years. I hooked up with good looking guys through it. I've also been so horny that I've hooked up with trolls through it. I guess my anonymous sex days are over.

by Anonymousreply 182March 25, 2018 3:05 PM

How many past hookups will come out from hiding and email?

by Anonymousreply 183March 25, 2018 3:15 PM

R153 and R179 Can both of you be right?

by Anonymousreply 184March 25, 2018 3:51 PM

Looks like the personals are migrating to the Missed Connections thread (which itself has moved to the "Community" activities area). At least in New York. I even saw a "ro$es" post.

by Anonymousreply 185March 25, 2018 7:01 PM

R182 - post pics of those nasty trolls hooking up with you.

by Anonymousreply 186March 25, 2018 7:10 PM

SJWs and the rabid social conservative puritans are always on the same anti-sex side of things. It makes sense when you study the connections between the historical Progressive era and the 'revivals' of the Second Great Awakening.

by Anonymousreply 187March 25, 2018 9:15 PM

All the world is a stage and therefore a lie - it's the biggest dummy who thinks he's the smartest scholar - too smart and too dumb to see what the world has become - intelligence as it wholly once was is no more - it has become artificial in part - our thoughts and therefore our beliefs as well as our actions and reactions are no longer entirely our own - the mind has no firewall and so we are influenced beyond our own ability to comprehend - yet some of us know while most of us know not - all through the light of day and through the dark of night of every minute of every hour we must always remember who we really are - that is all

by Anonymousreply 191March 25, 2018 11:04 PM

Are you drunk, R191?

by Anonymousreply 192March 25, 2018 11:15 PM

Are SJW's and Bernie Bros supposed to be one in the same? I see a lot of people go after Bernie voters but most here seem to dismiss the impact that SJWs have, which is odd since they seem to be influencing an entire generation.

by Anonymousreply 193March 26, 2018 1:10 AM

I had some really hot Craigslist hookups between 2003 and 2006, when I was much younger, hotter and single. Lots of closeted guys and business travelers. Fun times.

by Anonymousreply 197March 26, 2018 3:07 AM

by Anonymousreply 198March 26, 2018 3:38 AM

They're whores, Rose.

by Anonymousreply 199March 26, 2018 3:44 AM

But who can say why? I've never seen any indication of prostitution (oops- I mean Human Trafficking). At least in the M4M sections. Actually, it's almost the polar opposite of it: free sex for consenting adults.

Oh, wait: "Rep. Ann Wagner, Missouri Republican and sponsor of the House version of the bill". A naïve frau's attempt to keep the men near hearth and home, reading the Bible with his fat, aging wifey.

Honey, you're not going to stop men from having sex with men.

Grindr is a colossal waste of time. The users have the attention span of a gnat. Only on Scruff are they slightly better: you get about 3 additional exchanges before going stale. It's exhausting. Sure, CL got pretty quiet/less used towards the end but even still posting an ad or replying to one would net some legitimate responses fairly quickly. Surely someone smart will come up with a CL-alike relatively soon. ;)

by Anonymousreply 201March 28, 2018 4:51 AM

"... the mind has no firewall ..."

Great title.

by Anonymousreply 202March 28, 2018 4:57 AM

Great sex panic. So everyone voted because they want to protect. Why not outlaw death? They should pass a law asking death to stop taking people. The Ayatollahs in Congress are as bad as the religious police of Saudi Arabia.

by Anonymousreply 207March 28, 2018 2:19 PM

Just opened up a Men4SexNow account, but its still not nearly as good or as much fun as Craigslist was, the diversity on Craigslist was amazing, plus the quick responses.

by Anonymousreply 208March 28, 2018 6:10 PM

I always thought CL would be a cool place to meet a partner for a ltr (maybe even marriage?). You could create an ad, post pics. All free.

But the M4M Romance section was almost always empty, except for a few chronic regulars.

This kind of illustrated what was 'out there'. Once guys could hook-up easily for sex they stopped looking for relationships. The bars closed-up.

by Anonymousreply 209March 28, 2018 6:16 PM

[quote]Once guys could hook-up easily for sex they stopped looking for relationships. The bars closed-up.

You’re generalizing quite broadly and absurdly. Plenty of guys are still looking for relationships, and gay bars have not “closed up.” Some have, while many, many more remain open.

Different sites and apps attract different kinds. Craigslist attracted a lot of closeted men because it was free and required no sign up or profiles. Given that, it’s hardly surprising that a romance section never really took off. Many of those guys are married to women and just looking to get off, so romances (let alone gay bars) hold no interest for them. Meanwhile, openly gay men exist in greater numbers than ever and are largely looking for at least casual relationships, if not ultimately long term ones, and they’re still doing that in bars as well as on hook-up apps that cater to gay men.

by Anonymousreply 210March 28, 2018 7:10 PM

I don't agree with R210. The "dating" sites have mostly the same guys who were on CL M4M, but with LinkedIn pics and G-rated profiles. I get hit on and laid wherever I show up, but by 2010 at least, guys started practicing a strong preference for hit-and-run sexual encounters without any follow-up. At most we might have sex 2 or 3 times over a period of days or weeks, but it will end quickly.

I met a few of these "dating" guys. A couple of them were hopeful that they'd meet somebody who would allow them to indulge their extreme fetish (usually related to cross-dressing, which was never mentioned in their dating profile). I also met 2 guys that I'd hooked up with before. I liked both of these guys, and tried to date them. They both broke up with me quickly because they claimed it was a problem that *I* would engage in casual sex and that they'd never be able to trust me. This of course makes no sense whatsoever, but apparently even gay guys indulge in madonna-whore thinking.

I gave up on the legit dating sites when a guy I met for relationship strung me along several weeks for sex-only "dates," and when I called him out on it, he called me some really nasty names.

In the early 2000s and before, most guys I hooked up with, if the sex was good, wanted subsequent meetings. The last real friend I made by meeting online was in 2011, a sweet guy named Tim. Tim was bi - and was annoyed that guys weren't interested in friendship or even FWB. He was tired of endless online trolling and stranger-fucking. So he (and I know this will trigger DL like nothing else) went back to dating women, since they are more willing to engage in extended courtship.

If I go to a bar, I will meet guys looking to hook up. I will get my nipples pinched and my butt and shoulders rubbed. Guys will ask me out to their cars in the parking lot. I will be offered and I may accept a blowjob. I am not opposed to any of these things, but it is unlikely any of the guys will talk to me again after we have sex.

by Anonymousreply 211March 28, 2018 7:35 PM

R205 is probably really fun at a party. This is exactly the toxic mindset that ruins the phone apps.

This afternoon I spoke with a manager at my local bath house. He told me that immediately after Craigslist closed the personals, the bath house's numbers went up significantly. Days and times that had been slow were much, much busier.

I'm sorry to see the personals go. The underlying reason with that stupid change in the law is extremely troubling. But I'm very happy to know there will be more hungry dick available daily at the baths!

by Anonymousreply 213March 29, 2018 2:41 AM

Actual hungry dick is far more interesting than virtual hungry dick.

I drove past the entrance to a (normally) empty forest preserve on my way home. I never saw so many cars in there. It's like the 90s all over again. I don't really get why married men risk the forest preserves (cops go in there) when grindr is still safer - as far as being caught goes.

by Anonymousreply 227March 29, 2018 2:35 PM

I am confused why Craigslist couldn't just regulate it? If they suspected serial posters of doing something illegal couldn't they automatically flag ads or block the email addresses from posting?

I know as of this year, they attempted to curb activity by limiting it to one post per section from the same email.

[quote] people were saying it moved to the forums or community intsead of " personals"

Only the Missed Connections did, which would ostensibly only be those who already met.

The rest are gone. Like a fart in a windstorm, gone.

by Anonymousreply 249March 30, 2018 1:58 AM

Nutsacks across America were so full that day.

by Anonymousreply 250March 30, 2018 2:10 AM

Start emailing your old hookups and reconnect!

by Anonymousreply 251March 30, 2018 2:16 AM

Dont appear to be working, r251

by Anonymousreply 252March 30, 2018 2:19 AM

Among other factors, blame Zuckerberg's Facebook greed and selling personal data to high bidders such as Cambridge Analytica. Abuse taken to extreme will facilitate demands for enhanced regulation.

by Anonymousreply 253March 30, 2018 2:46 AM

in some ways this is a push back to the olden days guys will start to make risky decisions and if not careful will end up getting arrested perhaps that is all part of the plan?

by Anonymousreply 254March 30, 2018 4:30 AM

No more Milky Loads for me *sobs*

by Anonymousreply 255March 30, 2018 4:15 PM

So does this mean other online sites will go the same way? How about apps?

by Anonymousreply 256March 30, 2018 8:36 PM

Excellent, R222! WW!

by Anonymousreply 257March 30, 2018 9:17 PM

This is not about human trafficking and everyone knows it.

by Anonymousreply 258March 30, 2018 9:48 PM

Maybe people could set up a secret society hidden under the Haiku section of the Discussion Forums? Or somewhere bat-shit crazy like that.

by Anonymousreply 259March 30, 2018 10:03 PM

Under the Services section, the Therapeutic section is still active. I see ads for M2M "massage" etc.

by Anonymousreply 260March 30, 2018 10:06 PM

The republicans at the state level have been obsessed with human trafficking for the last 5 years or so.

I don’t know what it really means or what they are really doing but we know they don’t care about trafficking victims.

So what is it? What’s the real benefit for them? It’s a head scratcher.

r261. The end of quasi legal prostitution? I know here in Los Angeles there were tons of UCLA students pimping themselves out on CL.

by Anonymousreply 264March 31, 2018 2:02 AM

Would love to have sex with some UCLA students, how hot would that be. Really sucks that Craigslist crumpled to this idiotic new law.

by Anonymousreply 265March 31, 2018 2:27 AM

8bump*

by Anonymousreply 266March 31, 2018 5:34 AM

A question for you, R265. If you please.

These college students you want to have sex with... they have to be enrolled at UCLA?

That's so interesting.

by Anonymousreply 267March 31, 2018 11:12 AM

A way to suppress online porn, r261. At least that's my suspicion.

Microsoft is not allowing porn or bad words on their services because of this law, which they say is to combat trolls, but you know that's not the only reason.

by Anonymousreply 268March 31, 2018 11:25 AM

So is it really gone forever? What’s the legal possibility of it coming back?

by Anonymousreply 269March 31, 2018 12:22 PM

Until last week, by federal statute, there was no liability for site owners from statements posted on the site by others.

Now the law is amended by Congress and site owners ARE responsible for what the customers state on the site, at least as it relates to sex work. It was not narrowly written to avoid curtailing legitimate speech. It is hugely censorious.

The protection was created. Then it was taken away. It could always be reinstated. But not until Congress acts. Or, perhaps, the ACLU and Lambda and countless other organizations can beat it in court.

by Anonymousreply 271March 31, 2018 1:00 PM

If the sites can be held responsible, why don't they regulate the ads instead of shutting down completely?

by Anonymousreply 272March 31, 2018 1:18 PM

You want to meet the payroll for all that supervision, R272?

You want to pay the increased insurance premiums to cover this increased liability?

We'll donate the money!!!

by Anonymousreply 275March 31, 2018 2:48 PM

Wait, as of May 1st I'm not allowed to use sex words or get naked with other guys on Skype? This has to be a joke. Are we in North Korea now?

by Anonymousreply 276March 31, 2018 3:56 PM

Microsoft has been trying to kill Skype since the moment they bought it, I swear. This outta do it!

by Anonymousreply 277March 31, 2018 3:58 PM

We'll also be barred from having any porn/swear words in our email, web searches or OneDrive. In other words, it's time to pack up and leave the internet...it's over.

by Anonymousreply 278March 31, 2018 4:01 PM

It might be good to get back to the bars - they have been dying out.

by Anonymousreply 279April 1, 2018 2:09 AM

R110 no political party is “secretly” behind this. They’re either doing it openly, publicly for the votes - or they’re not involved at all.

Show me your Democrat connection, and I’ll consider it.

by Anonymousreply 280April 1, 2018 2:15 AM

by Anonymousreply 284April 1, 2018 5:11 PM

by Anonymousreply 287April 1, 2018 11:33 PM

R280, did you not see R176's link?

by Anonymousreply 288April 2, 2018 12:02 AM

Did all cities have the same serial posters over and over again? I would have enjoyed seeing their meltdowns when they realized CL was gone.

by Anonymousreply 289April 2, 2018 1:39 AM

I'm seeing the guys I used to see on CL on the other apps now. Same pics, same kinks. They're probably all over Grindr, but I haven't ever used that app.

Quite a few guys whose profiles don't coincide with my sexual tastes hit me up. A couple of them, when I replied and explained why we aren't compatible, say odd things like "That's only what my profile says." So you write fake news in your profile and expect guys to be interested, or to trust you for a meeting?

I've received a few replies from old CL email exchanges. But they're the same low quality efforts as before, on the order of "r u interested?" So if I reply, I have to ask who they are and what they want. One guy today was offended that I didn't remember him - but we never met!

Can't people get sued for that?

by Anonymousreply 296April 3, 2018 1:33 AM

R296 I guess if the married man or trade is willing to go to the authorities to report that some random guy they were fucking has a video of them, then sure.

by Anonymousreply 297April 3, 2018 1:37 AM

R297, I think that happened a few years ago. Some guy uploaded tons of videos that he had made of himself fucking guys who did not know they were being filmed. One of the guys found out and went to the police. The videographer went to prison.

Btw, some of that “straight” married cock on CL was the real deal—a married (to a woman) acquaintance of mine used to hit up CL for a quick blow job every now and then, just to mix things up. He had several side chicks, too. I don’t know how he ever got any work done.

by Anonymousreply 298April 3, 2018 2:21 AM

Yeah R298 - in complete honesty the "straight", married DL guys loved CL and were plentiful. I am a top. Some of the cutest, most masculine, sexy, great-in-the-sack guys that you will ever have the pleasure of topping were found on CL. Strangely, despite the lag time (all emails vs. real time apps) - the percentage of flakers was almost o%. Friendly, easy-going, great sex.....there was a lot to love if DL guys were your cup of tea.. Sigh.

by Anonymousreply 299April 3, 2018 4:18 AM

R296 R297 R298 - in most states is is legal to record someone as long as ONE of the parties consents to it. So the guy with the spycam is the only one who needs to consent.

by Anonymousreply 300April 3, 2018 2:08 PM

Legal to record sexual acts?

by Anonymousreply 301April 3, 2018 2:14 PM

Recording is one thing. How that recording is subsequently used is a very different, very much more complicated matter.

by Anonymousreply 302April 3, 2018 2:20 PM

Yes. I cannot imagine it is legal to post recordings online if one party had no knowledge or did not give consent.

by Anonymousreply 303April 3, 2018 2:26 PM

In the US there are three issues....

First recording, in most states only one party has to consent to the recording, some states require two. Like Linda Tripp illegally recorded Monica but the prosecution gave her immunity. Recording without one's consent only applies to voice recordings or those which include a vocal or which have a special tone which beeps every ten seconds to let the person know s/he is being recorded.

Second, you have some states that have special laws pertaining to revenge porn and porn in general

Third, you would have copyright issues or could have them.

by Anonymousreply 304April 3, 2018 4:01 PM

[quote]R280, did you not see R176's link?

So? Those weren't Democratic lawmakers; it was just a PSA from the usual Hollywood SJWs. This was a Republican-led and Republican-passed initiative.

by Anonymousreply 305April 3, 2018 4:08 PM

I'm almost certain that's where they stole all those tacky photos for sites like Lurid Digs.

by Anonymousreply 306April 3, 2018 4:52 PM

I posted on the missed connections section of CL trying to contact a guy I had met via the personals previously.

My post was scrapped because apparently there can be no mentions of the CL personals section. I had to reword it to exclude that.

by Anonymousreply 307April 3, 2018 5:17 PM

In my city, all gay posts to missed connections are getting flagged.

by Anonymousreply 308April 3, 2018 5:44 PM

I had to join Recon, Scruff... which seems worthless and Men4SexNow.com. Still Craigslist was better and faster.......and more honest.

by Anonymousreply 309April 3, 2018 6:50 PM

[quote]I'm seeing the guys I used to see on CL on the other apps now. Same pics, same kinks. They're probably all over Grindr, but I haven't ever used that app.

by Anonymousreply 310April 4, 2018 1:23 AM

by Anonymousreply 311April 4, 2018 1:33 AM

311, you don't have to post your photo, but eventually guys are going to want to see it, just like CL.

by Anonymousreply 312April 4, 2018 6:08 AM

I would never trust any guy who claimed to be married or straight to just hand over a face photo.

by Anonymousreply 313April 4, 2018 12:17 PM

As mention above, doublelist.com is starting to crank up.

by Anonymousreply 314April 4, 2018 9:33 PM

by Anonymousreply 315April 4, 2018 9:38 PM

I finally actually got some head off of doublelist.com, the Chicago part is starting to get busier. Its not quite as organized as CL but still I meet a hot guy!

by Anonymousreply 316April 4, 2018 10:15 PM

Does Doublelist anonymize your email address?

by Anonymousreply 317April 4, 2018 10:25 PM

R295 Well written article. Did you write it?

by Anonymousreply 318April 4, 2018 10:29 PM

R317 = no, BUT there is something mentioned that you can put in any email if you want. I'm not sure what they are suggesting, but maybe a work around on providing your email address. ????

by Anonymousreply 319April 4, 2018 11:00 PM

Just create a fake email that you use for your hookups.

by Anonymousreply 320April 5, 2018 12:57 AM

So where will the married down low guys go? I don’t think they want to use Grindr and Scruff.

by Anonymousreply 321April 5, 2018 1:37 AM

The baths were busy this afternoon. I sucked cock from noon to five!

by Anonymousreply 322April 5, 2018 4:21 AM

R313 - in my experience ZERO of them ever sent a face pic. You literally had to roll the dice on that part. They were usually pretty free with the body and butt pics (or I would never meet up) and 85% or more turned out to be really very cute/handsome. I topped the hottest, most stereotypically "masculine" guys ever from CL ads that I responded to. I never ran an ad there, but found it very easy to get a fast response from replying to theirs. This was in Dallas, NYC, Los Angeles, Phoenix, etc. - so we are not talking small towns here.

by Anonymousreply 323April 5, 2018 4:41 AM

The year that you are speaking of needs to be posted or otherwise it will confuse people.

It is true, Craig’s list had its hey day and was a very popular and successful way to meet good looking guys, but then the apps came. So for the last few years, only the worst of the worst were left behind.

by Anonymousreply 324April 5, 2018 5:02 AM

R324 Not even. The "straight" and bi-curious bros lived on CL. They would never be caught dead on the apps.

by Anonymousreply 325April 5, 2018 6:00 AM

CL Chicago was super busy, up until the end.

by Anonymousreply 326April 5, 2018 1:49 PM

Looks like Doublelist ads expires after 1 day? I can only see ads today

by Anonymousreply 327April 5, 2018 2:00 PM

Exactly, r325. You are never going to find the same types on the gay apps. For them, the biggest appeal of CL was the ease and anonymity. If it's too much effort, ie signing up for an app and posting pics, the majority won't do it.

by Anonymousreply 328April 5, 2018 3:23 PM

R313 R323, you could also sense their level of concern about discretion and disease in their emails. A lot of them weren't experienced enough to know not to use their regular email addresses which made their names show up when they answered ads. Bless their hearts!

by Anonymousreply 329April 5, 2018 6:38 PM

R329 - I forgot about that! Great point. There were plenty of names linked to email addresses. I looked up quite a few of them via Facebook and Google searches and was able to easily find "face pics" and also verify that they certainly were living a straight lifestyle (kids, wives, girlfriends..).

by Anonymousreply 330April 5, 2018 6:47 PM

Oh no, now they have to actually sleep with their wives.

by Anonymousreply 331April 5, 2018 6:54 PM

I couldn’t imagine the thousands of and forth messages, the catfish, fake pics and fudged demographics that one would have to rummage through to find anything remotely decent.

by Anonymousreply 332April 5, 2018 6:58 PM

Much less rummaging / BS back and forth / catfishing than Grindr. Grindr GUYS can never figure out if they want purely sex - or a LTR. Requires a whole song and dance and cutesy/witty exchanges to maybe not get ghosted. CL guys know what they’re looking for and just get on with it. Like the backroom of the internet. Don’t need a lot of chit chat

by Anonymousreply 333April 5, 2018 7:02 PM

Agreed Grindr can be a waste of time.

by Anonymousreply 334April 5, 2018 7:22 PM

I hate Grindr. lots of gay guys.

by Anonymousreply 335April 5, 2018 7:39 PM

Most of the pic whores are preening butch queens trying too hard to prove how masc they are. It has nothing to do with suck and fuck, and these guys are often icky-picky in the extreme, looking for their clones. If I place an ad and somebody sends me 5 pics in their first reply, I won't answer. When I meet up and they say, "You look great. You should post more pics," I have to suppress an eyeroll. First consideration is always for an older or less traditionally handsome guy who is motivated to get to business.

by Anonymousreply 336April 5, 2018 8:37 PM

Yes let us please acknowledge the stupid ones who would have their names appear in their emails.

by Anonymousreply 337April 5, 2018 8:41 PM

R330, I did that too. Downlow, married types on CL were so much more honest about their stats than openly gay guys.

by Anonymousreply 338April 5, 2018 8:57 PM

Has anyone any inside contacts at CL to know if it will come back?

by Anonymousreply 339April 5, 2018 11:04 PM

Correct R28. Also, ever since smartphones blew up for personal use vs. business (maybe 2005/2006) - women have been demanding pass codes and access to their man's cell. Very few straight men in a a relationship would ever download apps like Grindr - not in a million years. Email is easier to hide. You can create a random one and access it anywhere - very difficult for spouses or gfs to sneak around and find. Next to no straight guy is going to download Grindr onto his cell just to get his ass fucked. CL was easier for them - WAY easier.

by Anonymousreply 340April 6, 2018 2:42 AM

[quote] Very few straight men in a relationship would ever ... get his ass fucked.

by Anonymousreply 341April 6, 2018 3:02 AM

Agree with those who said CL was great for finding "bi" dick.

I even had 2 fuck buds who were both married or in OTR with women, and both were CEO's of tech/biotech companies in Silicon Valley and had big dicks. One was HUGE actually and he never fucked me I just sucked him off and he had never gotten deepthroat before

by Anonymousreply 346April 6, 2018 12:19 PM

What the fuck is wrong with a man who would want to stick his dick in a closeted, lying, integrity-free, guy on the downlow? If he is lying to his wife about taking it up the ass, he will lie to you about be D/D free.

Avoid those men. Better yet, send them to a doctor first and a therapist after. And then go find a therapist for yourself because you're just as fucked up as your downlow trick.

by Anonymousreply 347April 6, 2018 1:00 PM

by Anonymousreply 348April 6, 2018 1:03 PM

What R346 said

by Anonymousreply 349April 6, 2018 1:06 PM

What a clever way to stifle a free and private form of communication. The end run around free speech. I wonder what the next Internet speech they’ll target in the “interest of protecting the public” they’ll go after. So far it’s looking like Facebook and Twitter with the Russia/Trump scandal. After that? Eventually they’ll be no way to communicate freely with anyone on the Internet. This is just the beginning.

by Anonymousreply 370April 8, 2018 2:21 PM

I had the same thought as R373. There were some people who posted the same ad several times a day. And weirdly, they often posted the same ad with different ages. And there was a lot of plagiarism. Several times, I'd recognize an interesting ad duplicated in listings for other cities, with a few minor revisions.

by Anonymousreply 383April 15, 2018 4:11 PM

I think doublelist requires a phone number so I doubt many “Down low”people would ever use it.

by Anonymousreply 384April 15, 2018 5:00 PM

R384 Craigslist did too in many markets.

by Anonymousreply 385April 15, 2018 9:42 PM

Sucks that Europe still has M 4 M but in the USA we dont!

by Anonymousreply 386April 22, 2018 7:38 AM

[quote]I dont get how they can close down ALL of backpage.com. The entire site was not devoted to sex ads. People sold all sorts of stuff on there.

The same way the IRS shuts a business down for tax evasion that is carried out by two accountants.

by Anonymousreply 387April 22, 2018 10:13 AM

There was a guy in my city who posted the same ad every day. I could never figure out how he got away with that. Was he paying for the ad? Anyway, I recognized him from a lousy hookup over 10 years ago, he was still using the same photo which was 10-15 years out of date back THEN. He also apparently never aged, he’s been claiming he’s 49 forever and he was clearly well past that age when I had him. What’s funny is he’s now claiming he’s younger than me when he has to be 15-20 years older than me.

by Anonymousreply 388April 23, 2018 4:42 PM

There were always those annoying people who would post the exact same add everyday, but if you posted your own add you would get responses from real guys with real stats who were looking to get off. I met several fun horny guys off of Craigslist. It was a fun easy way to find sex.

by Anonymousreply 389April 24, 2018 8:06 AM

So as of this morning in the UK there are no more 'Personals' in CL London or Kent.

'Missed Connections' is in 'Community'; 'Therapeutic' is still in 'Services', but scrubbed.

'Discussion Forums' used to have a 'Queer' section, now also gone.

Seems like my browse last evening was the last ever, oblivious of this ghosting. Where all that diverse sexual energy will devolve to is anyone's guess. Sad!

by Anonymousreply 390May 4, 2018 5:15 AM

Anyone know when it will come back

by Anonymousreply 391May 6, 2018 4:56 PM
by Anonymousreply 392May 8, 2018 4:10 PM

Doublelist is lame - no action. And have a feeling the anti-sex SJW are going to find a way to shut it down soon. They are saying they are being inundated with illegal ads and are trying to stop them - not a good sign.

I feel like an era is closing. But the law of demand and supply would seem to dictate SOMETHING has to fill the void. Str8 men and escorts - and the men who love them - need somewhere semi-anonymous to post.

by Anonymousreply 393May 8, 2018 4:21 PM

[quote]Anyone know when it will come back

Three weeks from this Tuesday, Rose.

by Anonymousreply 394May 8, 2018 4:25 PM

I imagine that a Grindr clone without the profile picture, would be immensely popular. If it takes the place of CL, it would surely need to be released on Android.

by Anonymousreply 395May 8, 2018 4:42 PM

I think a lot of discreet guys won’t do an app. Leaves too much evidence. Needs to be a website they can erase from their cache.

by Anonymousreply 396May 8, 2018 4:47 PM

Indeed 396. Those guys who don’t know how to lock their phone or delete apps...those are probably the same type who use their single personal email address for CL.

Me: Yes faceless elderly bottom with a thirsty hole...I know that you have a wife and an impressive fishing boat.

by Anonymousreply 397May 8, 2018 5:01 PM

Craigslist was great and an easy way to meet guys for sex, none of the bullshit you get with the apps. I miss being able to post and hooking up with a guy with in an hour.

by Anonymousreply 398May 8, 2018 5:04 PM

Gotta love the repug at r393 bashing "SJWs" - he probably supports "abstinence only" programs

by Anonymousreply 399May 8, 2018 7:52 PM

Seems like Adam4Adam is working in some cities. Search by guys who are not out.

by Anonymousreply 400May 25, 2018 2:43 PM

Hot discreet bi and mostly straight dudes would never post on Grindr because Grindr is too “gay” and has an STD reputation. They don’t want to mingle with dudes who might put them or expose them and their girlfriends/wives to STDs.

by Anonymousreply 401May 25, 2018 2:52 PM

Somehow Jack’d attracts more hot masc “non-gay” dudes, especially brown and black guys.

by Anonymousreply 402May 25, 2018 2:54 PM

I've noticed an increase in married/closeted guys on Adam for Adam.

by Anonymousreply 403June 17, 2018 2:36 PM

Craigslist still worked better than any of these hook up apps, with Craiglist you would actually meet to have sex instead of just back and forth messages.

by Anonymousreply 404June 17, 2018 3:09 PM

R404 isn’t wrong. Kids just message for hours on Grindr

by Anonymousreply 405June 17, 2018 4:25 PM

Because dudes are so selective, they want to exclude guys that don’t meet their ideal

by Anonymousreply 406June 17, 2018 9:02 PM

r404

No, that never happened.

by Anonymousreply 407June 19, 2018 5:54 PM

R407, yes that did happen. Anytime I placed an ad on Craigslist I would receive honest replies and would end up hooking up. It was easy, free and pretty quick. And I would get repeats.

by Anonymousreply 408June 19, 2018 5:57 PM

Liking the outdoor sex, quick daytime hook-ups with non-professional homosexuals, on "Missed Connections" I'd post a message to myself such as "Hot guy in red truck, Tuesday by the park water fountain, you got away too quickly. Come back, Illl be waiting Friday noon." It was my way of letting closet cases and the not-out know where to go for the man-sex --- you know they cruised Craig's List all the time -- and there'd be lots of fresh meat showing up, ready for anything. I was helping them, my way of chumming the waters.

by Anonymousreply 409June 19, 2018 7:03 PM

R409, at a local "spot" I go to, call it a canoe launch, every once in a while I'd run into something fresh and would ask how did you know about this place. always heard they'd read of it on the internet. "Chumming" works. a cemetery in London, a highway Rest Area, a Home Depot parking lot, a gay beach, a lake, a river arena w/o a show. Sex is everywhere!

by Anonymousreply 410June 19, 2018 7:10 PM

I can’t help but wonder what happened to all the guys who would post the same ads DAILY, sometimes multiple ads. Every city had these types. Anyone know? Anyone see them pop up on other sites? Did they all just dry up and blow away?

by Anonymousreply 411June 19, 2018 7:12 PM

R411 when I was doing the sex thing, I would also see all the same guys posting almost every day .... and from one exerience and from buddies' stories, they were really bad. Always older than they said, out of shape, sometimes not players, just old guys messing with you. I was active on just two sites, couldn't tell if guys were on both, but both had what seemed to be trolls. I know a lot of people here take pot-shots at fat-bald eldergays in mothers' basements, don't know if that's really true, but often it does sound so.

by Anonymousreply 412June 19, 2018 7:31 PM

I used to do something similar, R409. I used to post an ad like “To the barber in (large general area), you cut my hair yesterday. What you did was hot. Let me know what your name is so I know it’s you.”

You’d either get barbers who were into it responding and also people writing to you like, “Was it Joe at Joe’s Barber on Main St.? Cause he does the same to me.” Meanwhile I have no idea who Joe is, but I’ve got a good lead. Lol. It’s almost like the people just HAD to write as if to say, “You’re not the ONLY one he does that to, so don’t think you’re all that.” Little did they know what they just did for me.

by Anonymousreply 413June 19, 2018 8:07 PM

Right R413. I'd get questions and comments "do you know of other places" ... "thanks, I work nearby, will try at Noon" ... some I'd respond to with info, some would want to meet. Never did.

by Anonymousreply 414June 19, 2018 8:15 PM

There really is nothing that compares to Craigslist, when it comes to fast and easy hookups. Especially with guys on the DL.

It just isn't the same anymore.

And with the death of gay bars, meeting someone for sex is very unlikely now.

Gay hookup apps are not an option, because they suck, it's the same trolls there, all day, every day, and it's just not as convenient or anonymous as Craigslist.

by Anonymousreply 415June 20, 2018 4:44 PM

r408 I am calling out the liar, CL was by far the absolute worst.

by Anonymousreply 416June 22, 2018 2:35 PM

Last night I had a moment where I felt sad that Craigslist missed connections was gone.

by Anonymousreply 417June 22, 2018 2:38 PM

Europe lost them as well, for no fucking reason.

by Anonymousreply 418June 22, 2018 3:42 PM

It’s been months now of no dick. I’m getting desperate. Doublelist isn’t working. This can NOT go on. Screw the babies at the border - what about the eldergays who love straight anonymous dick?

by Anonymousreply 419June 22, 2018 5:31 PM

There is a new secret section on CL for you to use. Of course, I can't say it or it'd be removed but it only takes a few looks to deduce it.

by Anonymousreply 420June 29, 2018 2:33 PM

R420 Not true.

by Anonymousreply 421June 30, 2018 2:06 PM

r420, they flag everything now.

There are bitter queens who actually think it's their duty to prevent anyone from hooking up, and as expected, it is the same bitter queens who trolled the personals and could never hook up.

by Anonymousreply 422June 30, 2018 2:32 PM

No idea why they also killed this section in the rest of the world. No one made them.

by Anonymousreply 423July 1, 2018 3:43 PM

Craigslist had its heyday about 10 years ago as a great place to find anonymous cock and quick hookups.

But then Grindr et al came along and CL became super sketchy and filled with fakes. The apps were much quicker, far more efficient and you could tell who was nearby.

Was surprised to find that there were still people who relied on it or even used it for sex.

by Anonymousreply 424July 1, 2018 3:49 PM

Doublelist is the new CL

by Anonymousreply 425July 1, 2018 5:36 PM

Grindr is now sketchy and filled with flakes and picture collectors.

by Anonymousreply 426July 1, 2018 9:35 PM

The local "pickle parks" here in Vermont are filled with men just looking for a hand. Or mouth.

by Anonymousreply 427July 1, 2018 9:36 PM

I live in what seems to pretty much be gay Siberia so Craigslist and all the hookup apps had the same handful of old closeted Republican guys looking to step out on their old Republican wives...So I just stay in and watch Netflicks.

by Anonymousreply 428July 2, 2018 5:29 AM

R427, can you give me the location of the parks? I'm asking for a friend.

by Anonymousreply 429July 2, 2018 6:04 PM

Netflicks? Oh dear

by Anonymousreply 430July 2, 2018 6:54 PM

Damn, autocorrect R430.

by Anonymousreply 431July 4, 2018 11:45 AM

R431 WTF kind of phone do you have that autocorrects Netflix to netflicks?

FOH I’m calling shenanigans.

by Anonymousreply 432July 4, 2018 11:53 AM

I used to get a decent amount of anonymous married guys on craigslist personals - right up until it shut down. They'd come over, get blown, sometimes more then go home - zero strings attached. It was beautiful. Apparently, none of them have discovered doublelist yet. :(

by Anonymousreply 433July 4, 2018 11:58 AM

You'll have to live with not knowing R432...I do hope you can move past the trauma.

by Anonymousreply 434July 4, 2018 12:14 PM

*sigh*

I’ll try to pick up the pieces and move on. Surely there must be support groups for people like me.

by Anonymousreply 435July 4, 2018 12:19 PM

Come with me, r432. We can have a cocktail and some cak and graxy.

by Anonymousreply 436July 4, 2018 4:04 PM

Just got some very nice straight 27 yo dick by using Whisper app. He was a complete redneck trump supporter, but hot as hell.

by Anonymousreply 437July 4, 2018 4:13 PM

R437, that guy wasn't straight

by Anonymousreply 438July 4, 2018 11:01 PM

No, if you go to reddit you will find the section that is "secretly" hosting them.

by Anonymousreply 439July 7, 2018 4:41 AM

Where is this secret site?

by Anonymousreply 440July 12, 2018 10:46 AM

Yeh, because doublelist is worthless

by Anonymousreply 441July 12, 2018 11:24 AM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 442October 5, 2018 1:29 AM

Where are the married men?

by Anonymousreply 443October 5, 2018 1:09 PM

Why cant the personals come back? It made hooking up so fun and easy.

by Anonymousreply 444October 6, 2018 6:25 PM

Where are you former Craigslist guys getting your DL men today? In New York, I've noticed an increase of anonymous profiles on Grindr.

by Anonymousreply 445October 6, 2018 7:03 PM

I made 5-6K/month as a CL erotic "masseur" w/ no experience for a year. It got me through some tough times and I didn't have to sign up or pay for rentmen/rentmassuer and out myself. RIP CL M4m - you were good to me when I needed you.

by Anonymousreply 446October 7, 2018 3:46 AM

[Quote]I made 5-6K/month as a CL erotic "masseur" w/ no experience for a year. It got me through some tough times

Damn it, NOW you tell me!

by Anonymousreply 447October 7, 2018 4:02 AM

Bump

by Anonymousreply 448October 11, 2018 11:40 PM

I still don't understand why CL did this not only in the states but in the rest of the world where there was no threat.

by Anonymousreply 449October 14, 2018 9:40 AM

"Yes, and they're going after the porn sites next under the same pretence."

But how will Trump find his next sex partner and/or first lady?

by Anonymousreply 450October 14, 2018 10:16 AM

That’s what I’m missing the most...the quick efficient sex for sell.

by Anonymousreply 451October 14, 2018 12:03 PM

Any other good alternatives working in the Chicago area?

by Anonymousreply 452October 26, 2018 10:46 AM

r452

The likes of you belong in the Steamworks.

by Anonymousreply 453October 26, 2018 12:47 PM

“The Steamworks?”

by Anonymousreply 454October 26, 2018 2:57 PM

Craigslist was a really good way to find other married discreet guys--ones who would never set foot in Steamworks or Boystown.

by Anonymousreply 455October 28, 2018 4:25 PM

Craigslist was also an easy way to find other gay guys to hook up with, without having to deal with all that app bullshit.

by Anonymousreply 456October 28, 2018 4:41 PM

Whay R455 said. I really miss my married guys from craigslist. They don't appear to be migrating to Grindr. And that piece of shit doublelist is worthless.

by Anonymousreply 457October 28, 2018 5:03 PM

I really need Craigslist personals to cum back, im getting zero dick these days.

by Anonymousreply 458December 5, 2018 5:31 PM

You need Craigslist to get dick?!

by Anonymousreply 459December 5, 2018 5:38 PM

Try doublelist - it's getting better everyday.

by Anonymousreply 460December 5, 2018 5:47 PM

First CL personals, now Tumblr is banning porn as of Dec 17th. The internet as we knew it is dying.

by Anonymousreply 461December 6, 2018 12:03 AM

This is Republicans’ fault.

by Anonymousreply 462December 6, 2018 12:13 AM

How pathetic do you have to be need craigslist to get laid?

by Anonymousreply 463December 6, 2018 4:20 PM

How do you do it R463. Was a great way to meet other married guys while traveling for biz

by Anonymousreply 464February 8, 2019 5:22 PM

Still missing Craigslist, is it ever going to come back. Got to be a lot of guys missing getting off.

by Anonymousreply 465June 17, 2019 12:46 AM

Craigslist was for those scraping the bottom of the barrel. You should be hanging out in highway rest stops to get those types.

by Anonymousreply 466June 17, 2019 1:22 PM

It's not so much needing Craigslist to get laid; its utility was in the way a user could tailor the ad to find what one wanted with relative ease. For me personally, I have a vast array of sexual desires. Some days I just want a bro to hang out naked with and jerk, the next I want full on sex with a married dad or to be a part of a group or orgy. One of my big things was voyeurism, I loved watching and people watching me. All I'd have to do was pop up an ad asking for dudes to swing by and I'd get a few decent responses within an hour of posting. With Grindr, you have to go through a time-consuming process of chatting people up and discussing what you both like and don't. And it's an active process, as opposed to CL's more indirect email exchange. Grindr and other apps are great for meeting people and chatting and just general sexual fun, but utterly perfunctory when it comes to finding a something specific with any speed and ease. That's what I miss about the CL personals. I also met up with a guy via missed connections. So that was cool.

by Anonymousreply 467June 17, 2019 8:39 PM

There's Doublelist now, but it's pretty much a disaster.

by Anonymousreply 468June 17, 2019 8:51 PM

Thanks R468. I've tried it. I think it has potential, but in my area, guys just don't use it with the same consistency as CL. Also there isn't a setting to search by a specific city or geographic location (that I know of). So you have to scroll through hundreds of postings, many of which are from far cities in my state. It's just not as user-friendly as CL was.

by Anonymousreply 469June 17, 2019 9:04 PM

That's part of its disaster-charm, R469. Like the detrius after a tornado, far-flung sex addicts desperately trying to sate their thirst by posting 4 consecutive ads, thinking nobody will notice how creepy that shit is.

by Anonymousreply 470June 17, 2019 9:07 PM

People are sneaking in their dating requests in the for rent shared rooms section.

by Anonymousreply 471June 17, 2019 9:12 PM

I've been successful on doublelist.

I liked CL because I prefer "straight" men who like head - not into reciprocation.

I STILL POST ON CL WITH MUCH SUCCESS (gays being creative) under the "Missing Connections" area but you need to keep it clean. Something like, "I use to post on M4M and you were a straight guy that would come over for service"

by Anonymousreply 472June 17, 2019 9:42 PM

Where did Trump meet his whore?

by Anonymousreply 473June 17, 2019 9:56 PM

So the bill became law or not?

by Anonymousreply 474June 17, 2019 10:18 PM

Yes the bill became law R474, and although the interpretation is up to the courts, Backpage was the first website to be charged with sex trafficking, which it deserved, because it was nothing but whore ads even though the site claimed - dishonestly, which it admitted to in its settlement - such ads were forbidden. Craigslist wasn't about to waste time and money in litigation on the matter, and decided to let the personals go.

The problem posters immediately pounced on Doublelist when it began last spring. Hustlers, meth dealing, and general crazies. The tranny section lasted about a month before Doublelist took it offline due to an avalanche of prostitution. Certainly the multitude of crossdressers posting in M4M - about 15% of posts - are working gurls.

Doublelist has this near-Victorian language and pic filter, and claims prostitution and drugs are forbidden, but nobody flags the ads and DL doesn't take them down. There's some native american who has 15 ass selfies and begs 20X a day for guys to come fuck him and "leave drugs," but yeah, same old.

Now I can't log into any of the apps without being hit up for drugs even though my profile says "Bag whores fuck off I don't parTy."

by Anonymousreply 475June 17, 2019 11:18 PM

Still no Craiglist M4M?

by Anonymousreply 476September 2, 2019 2:49 PM

Please provide your specific success storeis R472.
