Looks like our Shithole President is also spiteful.
Trump Has Just Barred Haitians From Applying for Low-Skilled Work Visas

"Visa overstays among Haitians in the 2016 fiscal year were around 40 percent, according to a DHS report last year." - what happened in 2016 that might have caused them to overstay their visas?

Also, this was from WEDNESDAY, while Trump was defending "shithole":
“I love the people. There’s a tremendous warmth,” Trump said. “And they’re very hard-working people.”

This will adversely affect Florida.

Haitians had "temporary protected status" so OF COURSE they were allowed to stay by the government.
the trump is using double talk to make us think they stayed illegally.

Of course they won't be allowed to get Visas--they're brown.

who does he hire to work at his hotels?

R1, did you read further? There's only a few dozen Haitians on these visas, so it's probably something like 15-20 people total who overstay.
I'd bet it's always technically a 40% figure because the entire group is so small in the first place.

It’s very clear that Trump has a twisted interest in destroying things that are enjoyed, or are good for, other people.
