Simon Halls to Washington Post: I No Longer Represent Bryan Singer
As the director of four “X-Men” films, Bryan Singer has shaped numerous stories about Charles Xavier and his telepathic abilities. Not even Professor X himself, however, might be able to divine what’s happening with the director, who disappeared from the set of his new movie, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” last week and might not be back for four weeks — or at all.,,
The director’s longtime publicist Simon Halls, meanwhile, told The Washington Post on Monday that he no longer represented the director and declined to explain why. The representative for Graham King, the producer-financer for whom “Bohemian Rhapsody” has long been a passion project, did not respond to a request for comment.

so he basically fled the country. Major shit's coming down.
|by Anonymous||reply 1||12/04/2017|
Frankly I don't mind him not directing any more movies after it blows up on him. I thought all the X-Men films were badly done and could have been so much better than they were. Oh, and the kid thing too, that's bad, I guess.
|by Anonymous||reply 3||12/04/2017|
"declined to explain why" = eeeeeeek!@#$$
|by Anonymous||reply 4||12/04/2017|
Yes we have already discussed this in other threads. Not really worth starting a new thread for it.
|by Anonymous||reply 5||12/04/2017|
That's a thread titled "Matt Bomer and Simon Halls". I know there's information tucked in there about it, but this is a new event and doesn't really fit in that subject line, so I think it's perfectly fine that there's a new thread about it.
|by Anonymous||reply 6||12/04/2017|
He is finally getting what he deserves
|by Anonymous||reply 7||12/04/2017|
When this shitstorm hits, all others will pale in comparison.
|by Anonymous||reply 8||12/04/2017|
R6 the other thread is better because Simon Halls is actually posting in it.
|by Anonymous||reply 9||12/04/2017|
I wonder if Seann William Scott is getting nervous
|by Anonymous||reply 10||12/04/2017|
Did he take all of the twinks with him? Like stocking up on batteries for an Earthquake?
|by Anonymous||reply 11||12/04/2017|
So does Simon take responsibility for shielding this monster for years? No? Then I hope he chokes on his husband's dick.
|by Anonymous||reply 12||12/04/2017|
What did Seann William Scott do?
|by Anonymous||reply 13||12/04/2017|
R13 in cahoots with Singer.
|by Anonymous||reply 14||12/04/2017|
On the contrary r12, he feels he is being libeled for his client's bad behavior.
|by Anonymous||reply 15||12/04/2017|
R15 The whole HW knew about Singer's bad behaviors except the one representing him. That's worthy of the Trump prize for alternative fact.
|by Anonymous||reply 16||12/04/2017|
It must be r13's first day on the DL.
|by Anonymous||reply 17||12/04/2017|
Some are you are ridiculous. Simon Halls was the guy's publicist. He was literally being paid to protect and manage Singer's image, that was his job.
|by Anonymous||reply 18||12/04/2017|
Been here for years, r17, I just haven't read the ridiculously long threads on Simon Halls and Bryan Singer. I know the gist of it and have seen things in other threads as well as on other sites, but I don't remember specifically what Seann William Scott has to do with any of it. Care to illuminate?
|by Anonymous||reply 19||12/04/2017|
R18 And? If he helped cover up immoral and illegal activities - and to preserve Singer's image you have to - that still makes him culpable. Or do you actually agree with the whole "only following orders" bullshit?
|by Anonymous||reply 20||12/04/2017|
Here is the most recent thread where we rehashed a lot of it again r19.
|by Anonymous||reply 21||12/04/2017|
R19 Seann William Scott was alleged to be a Judas cow for disreputable Hollywood eldergays
|by Anonymous||reply 22||12/04/2017|
Yes we have already discussed this in other threads. Not really worth starting a new thread for it.
On that thread the discussion is currently about the color of Matt Bomer's wedding ring.
|by Anonymous||reply 24||12/04/2017|
This is going to a shitstorm of EPIC proportions, I can't wait!
|by Anonymous||reply 25||12/04/2017|
Trainwreck alert. This is not a drill. Incoming trainwreck.
|by Anonymous||reply 26||12/04/2017|
So is he actually "missing"? Like police report missing?
|by Anonymous||reply 27||12/04/2017|
I assumed r5 would be referring to the Singer on the lam thread, but he actually referenced the Bomer ongoing thread only a minority of this board pay attention to.
|by Anonymous||reply 29||12/04/2017|
I would just like to draw your attention to the excellent pun-ery at play in the end of the article that OP posted:
"Numerous actors, including Sacha Baron Cohen and Ben Whishaw, were attached to play Mercury, and the number of writers and directors involved with it is nearly as long as Queen’s list of top 40 hits. King’s deep investment in the project likely ensures the show will go on, though how it will break free remains in question."
|by Anonymous||reply 30||12/04/2017|
I don't see how Rami Malek would be anybody's choice to play Freddie Mercury, but who knows, he may knock it out of the park.
|by Anonymous||reply 31||12/04/2017|
From what I understand, word of mouth from friends in the know, Singer has been disappearing from the set for hours at a time, or coming in late, leaving early, ever since the Weinstein story broke. Sometimes he wouldn’t show up at all.
So this behavior didn’t just start. Now he’s completely “gone”, and has been, hence the firing. I have no info as of yet.
I apologize if this has already been posted in the Halls/Bomer thread. I have been really busy and haven’t had time to go through them.
But yes, he’s been MIA.
|by Anonymous||reply 32||12/04/2017|
Singer has been worried about covering his ass, hard to focus on directing a movie when you know there is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode on you.
|by Anonymous||reply 34||12/04/2017|
Singer has been doing this disappearing act on set for years. He pulled the same stunt on Superman over a decade ago.
|by Anonymous||reply 35||12/04/2017|
[R19] Seann William Scott was alleged to be a Judas cow for disreputable Hollywood eldergays
[italic]Dude Where's My Car[/italic] also has some homophobic "humor" as well as a trans stripper. Figures that that movie's from Fox, who also hired Singer for the X-Men (read: ex-men) movies.
|by Anonymous||reply 36||12/04/2017|
R35 And he is still considered employable? Another mystery of HW.
|by Anonymous||reply 37||12/04/2017|
Another mystery of HW.
It's not a mystery, his projects made money.
|by Anonymous||reply 38||12/04/2017|
R38 Superman wasn't a big hit, though.
|by Anonymous||reply 39||12/04/2017|
Superman wasn't, but his X-men movies were.
|by Anonymous||reply 40||12/04/2017|
Why does he wear such ugly glasses?
|by Anonymous||reply 41||12/04/2017|
R40 Blame the fanboys. The X-men films weren't anything special.
|by Anonymous||reply 42||12/04/2017|
R25 The Angela Lansbury gif of eating popcorn is no longer allowed since Ms. Lansbury has revealed herself to be a WOMAN BLAMING, SEXUAL PREDATOR APOLOGIST FUCKING NASTY CUNT
DIE ALREADY ANGELA DIE
|by Anonymous||reply 43||12/04/2017|
R43 Save your curse for any old GOP bastard before Angela.
|by Anonymous||reply 44||12/04/2017|
Or yourself, r42. She had a good point. This isn't a "with us or against us" situation.
|by Anonymous||reply 45||12/04/2017|
Singer was protected by the studio not because his movies made money (not that much money anyway) but because he knows were A LOT of bodies are buried. But now i guess that's not enough anymore.
|by Anonymous||reply 46||12/04/2017|
"Bryan Singer has left the Queen biopic to spend more time with your kids"
|by Anonymous||reply 47||12/04/2017|
r43, ...she was also a Charles Manson superfan.
|by Anonymous||reply 49||12/04/2017|
Oh my! That tweet at r47 is especially delicious. That’s enough shade to cover an entire row of naked twinks, lounging poolside at the Singer estate!
|by Anonymous||reply 50||12/04/2017|
"She had a good point."
Only if you are a complete moron.
|by Anonymous||reply 51||12/04/2017|
R43 = Julie Jihadist unaware her Darling Star is contributing to female erasure by using puppets to sell nonbinary propaganda to kids.
|by Anonymous||reply 52||12/04/2017|
[R43], ...she was also a Charles Manson superfan.
Then why'd she leave the country to get her daughter away from him? She put her children's safety before her career.
|by Anonymous||reply 53||12/04/2017|
Did she really put her kids before her career?
She didn't stay in Ireland. She did Gypsy for only a few months in the West End before undertaking an extensive US tour culminating with a Broadway run.
And didn't she claim she turned down One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest because she didn't want to be typecast as a battleaxe? Not a peep about Ireland or her kids.
|by Anonymous||reply 54||12/04/2017|
R51 or someone who doesn't just follow the crowd-directed rage-sirens because it:s easier.
|by Anonymous||reply 55||12/04/2017|
At least she didn't lock her kids up in a funny farm or send them to a crappy rehab facility that got them hooked on tobacco cigarettes as a means off getting them off drugs.
|by Anonymous||reply 56||12/04/2017|
R11, They've run out of TWINKIES? But that's my favourite! How shall I persevere?

Simon to Washington Post.
