Is The Singer on a Bender or on the Lam?

Time will tell. Rumors are swirling that he will be replaced on the Mercury biopic.

by Anonymousreply 11212/12/2017

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

by Anonymousreply 112/02/2017

Is Matt Bomer's husband still shilling for him

by Anonymousreply 212/02/2017

He has gone AWOL on at least 2 other projects, so he may resurface.

This shoot has been a disaster - is it stress, worsening habit, psych issues, the news?

Not what investors or insurance companies like to see, in any event.

Messy lives can't be hidden forever, look at Depp.

by Anonymousreply 312/02/2017

There seems to be debate about that, R2.

by Anonymousreply 412/02/2017

Maybe he's visiting Kevin Spacey in sex rehab?

by Anonymousreply 512/02/2017

I was thinking Thailand, R5...

by Anonymousreply 612/02/2017

This is a good summary

by Anonymousreply 712/02/2017

Will his day of reckoning ever come?

by Anonymousreply 812/02/2017

I noticed this thread was deleted: 20114125-production-halts-on-queen-biopic-due-to-bryan-singer-illness

Thanks to the actions of the censorship masters on here, it appears that day may be sooner than you think, R8.

by Anonymousreply 912/02/2017

Directors are a dime a dozen in Hollywood. Just replace him. Replace him and then delete his phone number from every cell phone in Hollywood.

by Anonymousreply 1012/02/2017

Ron Howard replaced the two directors on the upcoming Star Wars film so they should get someone to replace Singer. Although I'm sure the Queen band members will want to have control over who is replacing Singer.

by Anonymousreply 1112/02/2017

Also noticed the thread deletion--happened after DG was brought up, though no real gossip attached.

by Anonymousreply 1212/02/2017

His day of reckoning is approaching.

by Anonymousreply 1312/02/2017

He has piggy eyes.

by Anonymousreply 1412/02/2017

by Anonymousreply 1512/03/2017

R12 who or what is DG?

by Anonymousreply 1612/03/2017

by Anonymousreply 1712/03/2017

Freddie does not want this biopic made.

by Anonymousreply 1812/03/2017

Get Andrew Haigh to replace him!

by Anonymousreply 1912/03/2017

I hope they replace him. Otherwise, I won’t be seeing the movie.

by Anonymousreply 2012/03/2017
This is not first time that Singer has disappeared during a production. He momentarily vanished during the shooting of X-Men: Apocalypse and during Superman Returns.

How utterly unprofessional.

If I went through periods where I didn't show up to work without explanation, I would be fired.

by Anonymousreply 2112/03/2017

Sacha baron cohen said this film would be trash (thanks to Brian May) this his departure. This movie needs to be killed.

by Anonymousreply 2212/03/2017

DG is a famous member of the velvet mafia. If a mention of him is what killed the other thread, I don't want to spell it out here. But it's pretty obvious. Though there was no gossip about him--just a mention of Israeli security services used in Hollywood.

Let's just say he renamed Avery Fisher Hall.

by Anonymousreply 2312/03/2017

Has he been located?

by Anonymousreply 2412/03/2017

or face work?

by Anonymousreply 2512/03/2017

R7 Yes, thanks, a good summary indeed.

by Anonymousreply 2612/03/2017

Any updates?

by Anonymousreply 2712/04/2017

R21, what do you mean vanished? Like he just doesn't show up to shoot?? How does that even happen?

That is the most aggravating thing I've ever heard, knowing that there are a million other talented directors out there who would kill to be in his position and he just doesn't come in to work some days.

by Anonymousreply 2812/04/2017

16. ENTERTAINMENT LAWYER 12/02 **#3** Sexual harassment wouldn't get this A list director to stand down and honestly, it probably wouldn't get him fired. He would just be suspended. The underage sex he is trying to write checks for right now though would end his career. Although, cc: Woody Allen. Bryan Singer ("Bohemian Rhapsody")

by Anonymousreply 2912/04/2017

by Anonymousreply 3012/04/2017

I think the other thread was more likely deleted because of that troll posting links to songs, which made the thread unusable for any kind of discussion.
Let's just say he renamed Avery Fisher Hall.

It's hilarious how some posters keep trying to make out that the renaming of Avery Fisher Hall was some kind of big conspiracy. Lincoln Center literally auctioned off the naming rights, and Geffen paid $100 million for them.
That is the most aggravating thing I've ever heard, knowing that there are a million other talented directors out there who would kill to be in his position and he just doesn't come in to work some days.

Not only that but he's just put a load of people on the crew out of work, and right before Christmas. And there's no guarantee they'll get a job when production resumes, as they may have other projects already lined up when/if production does resume.

by Anonymousreply 3112/04/2017

There are so many people who could come forward about these velvet mafia guys, who used their success sand power to prey on inncocent (being aspirational is not a guilty position -- those who exploit it are guilty) guys.

by Anonymousreply 3212/04/2017

R32, I don't understand who or what you are talking about

by Anonymousreply 3312/04/2017

Replace singer

by Anonymousreply 3412/04/2017

Replace Rami Malek

by Anonymousreply 3512/04/2017

Is he going to do a Polanski?

by Anonymousreply 3612/04/2017

Good riddance to creepy rubbish.

A creep with no power is a powerless creep who has to face the consequences of his actions.

by Anonymousreply 3712/04/2017

The Washington Post is just baffled!

Why did Bryan Singer leave ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’? Even experts can’t figure out which way the wind blows.

by Anonymousreply 3812/04/2017
The director’s longtime publicist Simon Halls, meanwhile, told The Washington Post on Monday that he no longer represented the director and declined to explain why.

by Anonymousreply 3912/04/2017

by Anonymousreply 4012/04/2017

He’s probably suffering from some sort of mental disorder and got word of an “Accused” article coming out about him which triggered a breakdown.

by Anonymousreply 4112/04/2017

Wow, this hardly qualifies as a BI since it uses his real name.

[bold]The Disappearing Singer[/bold]

This Singer is in the middle of a big film project. However, he keeps “disappearing” due to a “health problem.”

Ha ha.

Let’s talk about his real problem.

His problem is the decades long, systematic sexual abuse of young boys in the entertainment industry.

If he is having any sort of a “health problem”, it should be a chronic panic attack over the fact that karma and the law are catching up to our mercurial director. About time, right?

Look for him to get replaced on this project soon.

By the way, this Singer is much more likely to direct a musical than to perform in one.

by Anonymousreply 4212/04/2017

It looks like his time might finally be up.

by Anonymousreply 4312/04/2017

Yeah to me Halls dropping him says a lot. Shit is about to hit the fan for Singer.

by Anonymousreply 4412/04/2017

Back to the movie....Malek is all wrong for the role. Freddie should be played by someone who is good-looking, gay and can sing like Jonathan Groff..

by Anonymousreply 4512/04/2017

This morning, Daniel X Miller reveals that he flew from Vienna to Los Angeles....

by Anonymousreply 4612/04/2017

He probably had numerous close calls in the past and rushed to contain the damage behind the scenes with hush money, but he finally ran into some sort of trouble and couldn’t buy his way out of it. The jig is up and the question is whether he’s on the lamb or swinging from a pipe in his basement.

by Anonymousreply 4712/04/2017

How weaithy would Singer be?

by Anonymousreply 4812/04/2017

You in danger, gurl!

by Anonymousreply 4912/04/2017

It looks like it's finally over for him.

by Anonymousreply 5012/04/2017

I guess nobody returns his calls anymore to help him out or even promise him to back him if the shit hits the fan. That's what has him all anxious and crazy.

by Anonymousreply 5112/04/2017

"According to another insider, Singer has claimed he is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder because of the tensions on the set."

Oh, my sides!!!!

by Anonymousreply 5212/04/2017

The movie is doomed because the band members of Queen hold the rights to the music, and in order to use it you have to make the movie the way they want r45.

It doesn't matter who is cast really, that is why Sasha Baron Cohen ran away from the project.

by Anonymousreply 5312/04/2017

They said he kept disappearing while directing X-Men as well so this isn't something new. But not getting along with Malek and the cinematographer having to direct when he doesn't show up... yikes.

by Anonymousreply 5412/04/2017

by Anonymousreply 5512/04/2017

The Hollywood Reporter claimed he threw an object at Rami Malek!

by Anonymousreply 5612/04/2017

Yeah, r55, see r52.

by Anonymousreply 5712/04/2017

If Singer is ever looking for a character witness, he can forget about gay rugby star Ian Roberts, who worked with Singer and Spacey in 2006 on "Superman Returns."

Here's some of what Roberts is saying now about the two:
“I was really quite excited about working with Kevin Spacey,” Roberts said. “I was on set five or six weeks with him, in close proximity – I played basically his bodyguard in the film, so all the scenes I was in, he was in. “But he was a very difficult person to like.
“Plus, Bryan Singer the director has also got a dubious past. “Bryan’s history is quite dark.”
According to Roberts, he was reminded repeatedly that Spacey’s sexuality was not a topic for discussion. “I thought everyone knew Kevin Spacey was gay, I didn’t know it was a secret,” he said. “He’s camp as a row of pink tents. “I didn’t know it was one of those things we couldn’t talk about on set. “I got reminded about that. “I was like ‘really, we’re actually supposed to play dumb here? You’ve got young men, late teenagers, hanging around your trailer’.”
Roberts said Spacey and Singer appeared to be close on set.

by Anonymousreply 5812/04/2017

R57 I don't think I will, actually.

by Anonymousreply 5912/04/2017
The studio, which has about two more weeks of principal photography remaining on the film, is expected to name a new director within the next few days.

Two weeks left? They'll be fine and if it ends up sucking, they can always blame Singer.

by Anonymousreply 6012/04/2017

Dumb cunt, r55/r59.

by Anonymousreply 6112/04/2017

Exactly, R32. Even if it's not wrong by law it's still morally wrong, or at the very least devious. It's just gross, whether it's straight directors or gay directors, it doesn't matter, using the casting couch for young vulnerable people is disgusting, even in the case of consensual sex between adults, there's still the power dynamics thing.

by Anonymousreply 6212/04/2017

The fact that he just disappears without telling anyone and lets his DP cover for him for days while in production astonishes me. The fact that he's allowed to keep doing this is insane. I thought despite his pervert proclivities he at least had a work ethic, and that's what was saving him, but he doesn't even have that. TRASH!

by Anonymousreply 6312/04/2017

Well, he's been fired.

by Anonymousreply 6412/04/2017

The people he pimps for covered for him, R63.

by Anonymousreply 6512/04/2017

Lol, when I opened this thread I didn't refresh and the last 30 posts weren't visible!

by Anonymousreply 6612/04/2017
by Anonymousreply 6712/04/2017

Yes, that is just rehashing the reporter article posted several times r67

by Anonymousreply 6812/04/2017

No need to hall monitor the thread r68.

by Anonymousreply 6912/04/2017

R58 Lol Ian Roberts has some fucking front opining on the murky reputations of others!

by Anonymousreply 7012/04/2017

This was on another thread:
Bryan Singer's IMDBPro page now lists a new publicist. David Geffen. Bryan is his only client.

If true, bizarre.

by Anonymousreply 7112/04/2017

Link, R71?

by Anonymousreply 7212/04/2017

Probably a nervous breakdown because a lot of reporters are sniffing around and calling his friends and past lovers, trying to get one of them to go on record.

by Anonymousreply 7312/04/2017

R31, I wasn't trying to imply a conspiracy about the renaming of Avery Fisher Hall--I was just trying to give an obvious clue as to whom DG was without saying it because I didn't want this thread shut down and wasn't sure if a mention of DG had caused the earlier shut-down.

I assumed it was a huge donation because that's usually how things get renamed.

by Anonymousreply 7412/04/2017

Apologies, then R74, in previous threads someone kept going on about him having the power to twist the arms of NY politicians to get the name change, which is why I incorrectly jumped to that conclusion here.

by Anonymousreply 7512/04/2017

No problem--never saw the other thread, had no idea that there was a story like that out there--see why there was a misuderstanding.

by Anonymousreply 7612/04/2017

This is all a misunderstanding. One big misunderstanding.

by Anonymousreply 7712/04/2017

He's a whore darlin'

by Anonymousreply 7812/04/2017

The twink framed me

by Anonymousreply 7912/04/2017

Fox fired him, his publicist fired him. This might really be the end. The X-Men movies are made at Fox. I think he's done.

by Anonymousreply 8012/04/2017

He is currently executive producer of "The Gifted" which is a Fox TV show. He's also executive producer of Fox (FX) "Legion."

by Anonymousreply 8112/04/2017

That won't last long, R81.

by Anonymousreply 8212/04/2017

He dislocated his wrist jerking off the newer, younger replacements for the current X-men cast.

Late night benders and on-set meltdowns: How ticking time bomb Bryan Singer 'disintegrated on-set of new Queen biopic and was fired after execs feared allegations of sexual harassment were about to drop'

by Anonymousreply 8412/05/2017

Why, no, he didn't get fired for any of the expected reasons! His poor old mammy and pappy were sick.

by Anonymousreply 8512/05/2017

Any more news on Bryan and his predilections?

by Anonymousreply 8612/06/2017

Bryan has had debilitating neck pain for quite some time.

by Anonymousreply 8712/06/2017

R23, it's DAVID GEFFEN, isn't it?

by Anonymousreply 8812/06/2017

R88 is a Rocket Scientologist.

by Anonymousreply 8912/06/2017

If he falls, Geffen and Spielberg will be shitting bricks

by Anonymousreply 9012/06/2017

Why Spielberg?

by Anonymousreply 9112/07/2017

It's the latest PizzaGate - Apparently Speilberg is the mastermind of Hollyweird's pedo ring.

by Anonymousreply 9212/07/2017

I’ve heard the Spielberg is a pedo rumor may be a smear campaign by Scientology wackos.

by Anonymousreply 9312/07/2017
The Hollywood Reporter claimed he threw an object at Rami Malek!

How rude ... .... ... to call one of Singer's boytoys an object.

by Anonymousreply 9412/07/2017

r93 no.

by Anonymousreply 9512/07/2017
Bryan has had debilitating neck pain for quite some time.

A common complaint of doctor shopping opiate addicts.

by Anonymousreply 9612/07/2017

r96 nailed it

by Anonymousreply 9712/07/2017

(Ski) jumping in! Eddie The Eagle director Dexter Fletcher replaces Bryan Singer as director of Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody

by Anonymousreply 9812/07/2017

That director looks like Tom Hanks dressed up like Einstein.

by Anonymousreply 9912/07/2017

now replace Malek with Borat or Whishaw

by Anonymousreply 10012/07/2017

R99 - or Harry Connick Jr with an awesome weave.

by Anonymousreply 10112/07/2017

R16 Dick Gregory Rose!!!

by Anonymousreply 10212/07/2017

The real reason for tension on the set: Singer zeroed in on Malek's boyish looks - and ms. Malek said "Uh, NO."

by Anonymousreply 10312/07/2017

"X-Men" Filmmaker Bryan Singer Accused Of Raping 17-Year-Old Boy On Yacht

by Anonymousreply 10412/08/2017

He should rot in prison.

by Anonymousreply 10512/11/2017

Hypothetically speaking, if the alleged abuse of alleged minors occurred then its quite possible the alleged perpetrator of these crimes might possibly be on the FBI watch list. And if the alleged perpetrator is on the alleged watch list, then its possible...well, if I were part of the FBI, which I am not, but if I were, I would let this alleged perpetrator do what he likes to do, and watch and see all the people he comes into contact with, and maybe even send in a friend so he could see too, and then and only then, when I can bust say, a major ring, (who wants to take down 1 person when one can take down 15?), I would close in and make arrests. So, if I were an alleged pedophile/bibliophile or ephebephile who has been compromised by underage youth, I might suddenly disappear from set, city, state and maybe country...

by Anonymousreply 10612/11/2017

by Anonymousreply 10712/12/2017

That reminds me of cases where the homes of paediatricians have been vandalized by vigilantes who are too thick to know the difference.

"The library is full of sick bibliophiles!? Let's burn it to the ground!!!"

by Anonymousreply 10812/12/2017

Oh dear. I knew I shouldn't post after 7 classes of research papers and finals. Bib

by Anonymousreply 10912/12/2017
