GOMORRAH, the series

The series about Neapolitan modern mafia. It's very compelling. Anybody else watching it? It's on Sundance TV.

Bump

Marco D'amore supremely HAWT as Ciro the lead hood.

Lovin the Italian street wear jeans trainers and jackets too.

It's like the Mob meets The Wire: fabulous Italian neo-realist grit and grime to it too.

But! best of all is the near constant gag reflex I'm having throughout at the consistent near perfect display of gilded tack-o-rama hideousness!

The various fixtures and fittings and general interiors and location decor on display that seems to typify a southern Italian home and in particular the wealthy Italian take on nouveau riche is sublime and a joy to behold.

The DL Tasteful Friends queens should latch onto this one?!

So there is a new season? I watched the last one....I think Ciro was the only one left standing, correct?

R1, did you know marco D'Amore was quite fat before Gomorrah? He's good but the real standout is the actor playing Genny, the boss' son. I don't know what season you're watching, but he gives a fantastic performance through all the serie. And yes, the decors and visuals for Gomorrah are hideously wonderful.

R5, Season 3 ended a few months ago here in Italy. They're shooting season 4 now.

Thx the update on new series -good to know- am trying to find Season 3, I only sourced 1-2 via loan of dvd.

Yes - agree R6 - Genny an interesting character arc.

Is it regarded as must see viewing R7 and/or widely viewed?

R8: yes and yes. The showed the first two episodes of season 3 in cinemas for a special weekend. The box office was spectacular. It's also quite popular abroad, Ricky Gervais - for example - is a huge fan.
