I just looked up Derek Chadwick and it's clear that Taylor has a type: all-American, lantern-jawed guys that look kind of like Abercrombie models from the '00s.

I don't know how to feel about him, it sounds like he is fluid/bisexual but identifies as gay right now.

It's interesting that he noted that other people suspected he was gay early on, but he didn't identify it in himself until college. I always wonder about people that discover their same-sex attraction later on. Are they simply bisexual with latent gay leanings or are they just not being truthful with themselves and thus conforming to other people's expectations so much so that their own desires are blocked? His coming out video was great, I just wish there was a bit more of his internal experiences with being gay and when exactly he first had a sense of it. In my experience, most gay people know at a very young age (I sure did) and I'm fourteen years older than him.

R556 I knew I was gay when I was 12 ( now 23 ) and never felt any attraction for a women, maybe that's why I think it's strange when some men identify as gays but had many girlfriends in the past ( yes, they had to fallen in love to get in a relationship ). r556 I am 4 years younger than Tay but I have also known I was gay when I was still a kid, my first crush was with a boy when I was still in Kindergarten. I thought that didn't actually mean gay and it's just "normal" but I started viewing men sexually later on and have never been attracted to women

It seems like everyone have their own meaning of "being gay", if you are not sure of what you like, don't call yourself gay. Also from the video I think he had a bad image of his parents relationship.

I think while some view Derek as more traditionally handsome (taller, more ripped), Jeff was a huge step up.

Derek Chadwick Austin Binsack ( he changes his last name frequently to be able to "come out" again and again to get more press coverage) is a douche. Even in his model photos he's annoying, constantly sticking his tongue out, making faces and the like.

He comes across as an immature kid who loves attention too much and would be insufferable to socialize with. Jeff seems much more normal.

I personally don't think Derek or Austin or whatever his name is is attractive at all. He looks a bit too Cro-Magnon. Jeff is definitely a step up from him. Taylor has such a timeless, matinee idol look and seems like a really cerebral guy that I somehow can't imagine him paired up with some basic looking/thinking meathead. The only thing Jeff and Derek sort of share in common physically is a strong jawline with a bit of an under-bite.
