Well, this one is all about Panda Express orange chicken, R1! Too bad if you don't like it. Here, have some orange chicken.

More like Orange Tabby dude.

You have your choice of Siamese or Calico

by Anonymousreply 3April 24, 2017 8:36 PM

No I don't love it.

Well more accurately I can't even remember what it tastes like because I haven't been to a Panda Express in years and years. There are better options for americanized chinese food, so I don't know why I would go to a panda express.

by Anonymousreply 4April 24, 2017 8:40 PM

I've had much better Orange Chicken than Panda Express at other Chinese Restaurants. Panda charges way to much for what you get also.

by Anonymousreply 5April 24, 2017 8:40 PM

I've got to say that the pic looks very tempting. But then I doubt the real thing looks that good.

by Anonymousreply 6April 24, 2017 8:44 PM

I prefer the Beijing beef myself, lol

by Anonymousreply 7April 24, 2017 9:03 PM

Mmmmmmm... Beijing Beef.

I don't get Orange Chicken at Panda Express very often, but when I do I get the bowl with rice to go. I have found if you ask them to only put in half the rice they normally put in, they will put in more Orange Chicken than when they jam it full of rice. It doesn't happen every time, but more often than not, I get more chicken.

Fried and sugary, mmm.

by Anonymousreply 12April 24, 2017 9:38 PM

I DO !

I DO !

And they let me buy it by the piece !

by Anonymousreply 13April 24, 2017 9:47 PM

I love it. It is SO GOOD for fast food.

by Anonymousreply 14April 24, 2017 9:50 PM

I can't eat that sweet stuff. I do like their kung-pao chicken.

by Anonymousreply 15April 24, 2017 10:04 PM

It's all gristle and fat.

by Anonymousreply 16April 24, 2017 10:18 PM

It may be orange but it sure as hell ain't chicken.

Another vote for Beijing Beef!

by Anonymousreply 23April 25, 2017 12:24 AM

Please don't use "Love me some...." It wounds.

by Anonymousreply 24April 25, 2017 1:32 AM

Nope, Kung Pao all the way, although I've noticed the panda quality has really dropped the last 5+ years in my neighborhood coinciding with no Asian people working there anymore.

by Anonymousreply 25April 25, 2017 1:34 AM

It's finger Ling-Ling good!

by Anonymousreply 26April 25, 2017 1:49 AM

I've never seen Asians at the Panda Express near me. All Mexicans, including cooks.

by Anonymousreply 27April 25, 2017 1:55 AM

If you live in an area that has plenty of Asian-run Chinese food places, why would one go to a Panda Express?

These are the same fatties who go to Olive Garden instead of the local Italian, especially when they have their all you can eat promotions.

by Anonymousreply 38April 25, 2017 3:06 PM

R38: Not fat and was even thinner back when I went to Panda. I truly used to like their Kung Pao, but to answer your question I didn't categorize Panda as Chinese food any more than I think of Taco Bell as Mexican. Panda is fast food - drive thru, or located inside Vons supermarket. Good for quick work breaks, etc.

When I go to a local place, I go for Thai anyway.

by Anonymousreply 39April 25, 2017 3:39 PM

Yumyum

by Anonymousreply 40April 25, 2017 11:18 PM

Panda Express is the McDonald's of Chinese food.

by Anonymousreply 41May 4, 2017 3:07 AM

Deplorables...

by Anonymousreply 42May 4, 2017 3:11 AM

I'm Asian, specifically Chinese in an area that has some very good Chinese restaurants but I still get my Panda cravings. For $8 or $9, you can get two items and rice or noodles. How can u beat that?

by Anonymousreply 43May 4, 2017 4:47 AM

I can get the same deal at our local Chinese place for $6.99.

by Anonymousreply 44May 4, 2017 4:53 AM

I used to love it, but the last two times I ate it (at two different Panda Express restaurants), I got sick with stomach pains and diarrhea. I don't know if they are putting more MSG, or if they are adding onion powder to the Orange chicken now, but I don't want to get sick, so I won't be eating there again anytime soon.

by Anonymousreply 45May 4, 2017 5:01 AM

I got sick every time I ate there, and I despise their dried-out "steamed" rice. It's not supposed to be crunchy.

by Anonymousreply 46May 4, 2017 4:13 PM

I use to like it but right now I find it disgusting. The sweet sauce gets coagulated and sticky after sitting under the heat lamp too long. I also find it pretty nasty when the server scoops out the last remaining not-so-fresh chicken pieces and gooey mess into a new batch then serves that portion to me. There are a lot better places to get orange chicken.

by Anonymousreply 47April 8, 2018 3:00 PM

Are local Chinese places often better? Not in my experience. Many are highly questionable.

by Anonymousreply 48April 8, 2018 3:10 PM

No, I saw this video. I would never touch a fast food chicken.

by Anonymousreply 49April 8, 2018 3:40 PM

I used to love it until I got explosive diarrhea TWICE! They probably use too much MSG now, even though they say they don't use it.

I'll let George W try to explain how I feel with that "Old saying from Tennessee"

by Anonymousreply 51April 8, 2018 4:24 PM

Vomit on a plate. HFCS attack.

by Anonymousreply 52April 8, 2018 8:34 PM

It's a chain, so I am assuming that their hygiene standards are higher than those of your garden variety metro Asian restaurants. But still no.

by Anonymousreply 53April 8, 2018 8:43 PM

We're happy for you, OP. You eat cheap shit and eventually you'll tumorize. And you'll say it was worth it. A happy life.

by Anonymousreply 54April 8, 2018 8:49 PM

Breaded and fried fused chicken meat lumps, then dowsed with orange juice concentrate and garlic.

Yum, yum eat โ€˜em up!
