Deplorable says sorry for fueling Pizzagate.
"Alex Jones Apologizes for Promoting ‘Pizzagate’ Hoax"
[bold]Alex Jones, a prominent conspiracy theorist and the host of a popular right-wing radio show, has apologized for helping to spread and promote the hoax known as Pizzagate.[/bold]
Fuck him and his deplorable audience for putting us in this position.

Alex Jones had the sense of mind to take responsibility and apologize for something?

I am not a lawyer but seems like the owner of Comet Ping Pong, James Alefantis, would have a serious case of libel he could press against Jones. Only serious financial consequences are going to stop people like Jones from spreading these lies.

You know some people are saying that this was the plan all along. We all know Alex Jones is not a real talk show host. He's a provocateur who was positioned in the media to provide disinformation. No way would they let him have a conspiracy talk show that broadcasts to millions or allow him to appear on mainstream talkshows, if they couldn't control the script. He gets behind pizzagate, knowing he will be discredited, thus deflecting the larger human trafficking issue. Do your research and check out all the arrests and sex scandals that have recently happened here and abroad. Don't let others or the bots on this thread direct the narrative for you.

It's probably part of a settlement. The owner probably sicc'd his lawyer on Jones and Jones' lawyers probably told him to settle out of court

R6 is one reason.
The shooter who went to the pizza place and shot at the floor or whatever got in the news again today because he's going to jail for a long long time.
Jones is trying to separate himself from that.
And the owner of the shop probably could sue Jones for libel because somebody going in, shooting in the place, and a fat cunt lying about a sex traffic ring probably drove costumers and money down.
R16 people on 4chan noticed the Podesta emails said pizza a lot and they deduced that Hillary and democrats are running a child sex trafficking ring in a pizza places' basement. Curiously, reddit, another site previously known for jailbait/"um TECHNICALLY it's not pedophilia"/pedophiles gathering, has a very large gathering of deplorables that continued the pizzagate theory.
Of course to 4chan, cheese pizza (CP) was an old joke/saying for child porn (CP) so they, pushed that on Hillary and democrats saying they cracked a code. Also the pizza place doesn't even have a basement but they swear there is one and they have it hidden.
But in actuality pizzagate is a bunch of online mentally ill pedophiles mixed in with Russian trolls and general terrible people who are projecting their pedophilia on others. Like the repubs are all racist, homophobic, sexist, etc and keep trying to suppress voters and what not, and Trump himself has no good bone in his body. Deplorables KNOW this. They KNOW they look bad to others not like them and to other countries so they have to literally make shit up about democrats to pretend they are the good guys. And child porn/pedophilia is one of the few inexcusable things that exist.

R21 and R22 are deplorables and probably projecting.
Alefantis should sue Alex Jones. There is money to be made out of these deplorables and that money has his name on it.

R20 are you delusional? Since when have facts and common sense stopped it? The mentally ill do not respond to logic, dear!

Can anyone confirm that those pics were actually placed on Alefantis' IG account by Alefantis himself? Can anyone prove that it was actually his account?
Why would there be a picture of a small girl with her arms taped to a table? Maybe the kid was banging the table and someone did it as a joke.
The pics were weird, but I don't believe in any of this Pizza Gate shit.

I don't know about pizzagate but there are definitely paedophile rings that go all the way to the top. Look at Jimmy Savile best friend of Prince Charles and that other man who was best friends with Prince Andrew.
As for Alex Jones...don't like the man and consider him to be a snake oil salesman. However, I think there's something going on with him at the moment and I think he's being threatened in some way. He's not acting in his usual style and he's clearly fallen off the wagon. He also seems very edgy and frightened. Odd.
Oh, and for the record I watched his show because I find him hysterical. I love conspiracies, I love the twists and turns they take and the way they sprout off into different tangents. Don't believe in any of them...maybe a couple but no more than that.
I am not a lawyer but seems like the owner of Comet Ping Pong, James Alefantis, would have a serious case of libel he could press against Jones.
Yup, and that's pretty much why he did it, since Alefantis wrote him in February demanding an apology and a retraction. As the Post noted:
But the timing of Jones’s apology suggests he was concerned about a potential lawsuit. Under Texas law, the Austin-based Jones had to retract or apologize for the stories by Friday — one full month after receiving Alefantis’s letter — to avoid exposing InfoWars to punitive damages in a libel suit.
By the way, there is a good chance that this thread will get shut down and/or deleted. The webmaster dislikes these threads, possibly because it exposes him to libel concerns because of idiots like R20 and R21 or possibly because of the persistent spamming on these threads. My lord, the bizarre shit these people can come up with.

I was surprised - no, shocked - to see that he had won a Guggenheim award sometime in the past. I don't know why or how he was selected, and I don't care to read about him & never listen to him so unless someone here knows why, I won't find out...just thought it was really odd.

r28 is the quintessential InfoWars fan. "I LOVE conspiracy theories! They're so fun! I don't believe them, of course. Well, maybe a few of them. They make you think, right? I'm worried about that nice Alex Jones."

R18 is very astute in his reasoning and makes a salient point in highlighting that the only defense for an unacceptable viewpoint is to accuse the accuser of worse. It puts the good guys on the defensive, and distracts from the initial, deplorable situation. It's practically Trump's calling card.

R21 and R22 are the same person -- they do that exact same thing in every thread that brings up Pizzagate, trying to work the crowd. The first comment is "well, maybe it's not true, but Alefantis's social media had some sketchy stuff on it." The second person comes along and agrees.
It happens Every. Single. Time.
There is also the person who clearly knows they're lying about "evidence" of Pizzagate, because if you engage them they'll change wording and keep moving goalposts, trying to eventually come up with an angle to the conspiracy theory that people might believe.
What I want to know is WHO is behind these trolls. A few dedicated trolls left over from the campaign who don't know when to give it up? Or something even less savory?

R33 I am not R21--block me and find out. I simply offered an opinion as one who did see Alefantis' Instagram before it was made private. The queens that drop into hysteria, especially on this subject, when a contrasting opinion is offered are just as suspicious to me as I am to you

R30. I'm not an inforwars fan at all. I thought I stated quite clearly that I don't like Alex Jones. The man's a clown and sometimes I find that amusing.
I certainly don't think that paedophile rings are 'fun' but I do think there are conspiracies to cover them up. Not just at the top but right the way through society.
I think that Dr David Kelly (Weapons Expert) was murdered.
I think the aftermath of the Hillsborough disaster was a conspiracy. That turned out to be true.
Would my fascination with conspiracy theories be better explained to you if I tell you that I'm a sociologist? I study society and in particular how groups are formed, how they connect with other groups and often how they break into schisms and basically stop existing.
History is littered with conspiracies so why should today be any different? The biggest conspiracy in the 'conspiracy world' imo is that most of the people pushing conspiracies are narcicistic con merchants. That's quite fascinating too.

Honestly... I don't think so.
Russian oligarchs and Koch brothers are giving money away like candy to all these awful people and organizations in exchange for political divide, lessened regulations and sanctions, and information. Not to mention his viewers give him soooo much money. Jones wears expensive watches (yes, plural) on his show that are hundreds to thousands of dollars. He's not scraping by like he pretends he is, he's scamming a bunch of delusional idiots and profits a lot from it. If he were successfully sued he could ask for more donations on his site because the deep state got to him and he'd get that money back within a few days, I guarantee it.
Also even if Jones and others successfully got shut down, a dozen more would pop up. Like plucking a gray hair.

If that were true, he wouldn't apologize and just keep the gravy train going. He knows this could hurt him and his audience will just move on to the next huckster.

He's a business man and it's that simple. Have you ever watched his shows? It's primarily all about the bull shit consumer products he's pushing such as the vitamins, protein shakes, preppers bundles, he's even selling sleep aid. The only thing he hasn't gotten around to selling is Alex Jones brand bug spray, it seems. Even so, there's a lot going on in the world which needs to be exposed and the light shines through even the muddiest of waters.

"Yes, we set the fire, and claimed it was communists, or Jews, or even better communist Jews," Goebbels said from his office in Berlin, surrounded by black-uniform-clad SS guards. "It was a bit misleading as we apologize for that." Goebbels then left in his staff car for a meeting with the Fuhrer.

I know very well that sexual exploitation of women and children is rife and it takes certain forms, eg, in Hollywood, in city brothels, in Thailand or Cambodia, in places like Epstein's island, etc etc. But whatever Hilary Clinton's alleged crimes, I find it hard to imagine she would ever participate in this

Sadly the First Amendment protects a lot of this speech, R50. It doesn't protect him from being held liable for it in civil court, R50.
So what has to be done is, he needs to get the living shit sued out of him whenever he slanders someone.
