OMG! Someone's posted the Oprah/Betty Broderick interview online.

Weird...in my memory, I thought Oprah spoke to her via satellite or maybe that was on another occasion. In this, she actually visits her in jail.

Anyway, I thought people here might be interested to see it - doubt it will be there for long.

enjoy it while you can. Oprah has people working full time to pull her copyright material OFF the internet

by Anonymousreply 1February 20, 2017 4:49 PM

That channel has a ton of stuff, R1.

DailyMotion seems to be generally, less regulated.

It's painful to watch the interview.

by Anonymousreply 2February 20, 2017 4:53 PM

Damn, I thought it was the Oprah/ Betty Bowers interview. That I would like to see.

by Anonymousreply 3February 20, 2017 4:55 PM

Broderick is certifiably insane. The very definition of female hysteria at its most maniacal.

by Anonymousreply 4February 20, 2017 5:20 PM
The very definition of female hysteria

When her voice goes up...

by Anonymousreply 5February 20, 2017 5:25 PM

Has nothing to do with her voice. This is the female mind at work. She should've been given some sedatives and sent to a sanitarium after the divorce.

Women are emotional creatures, rarely capable of rational thought.

by Anonymousreply 6February 22, 2017 3:40 PM

Remember watching this when it first aired (with my mom) .... Mom fed my fascination with true crime.

by Anonymousreply 7February 22, 2017 5:10 PM

"Women are emotional creatures, rarely capable of rational thought."

Blanket statements like this are a clear indicator of a manipulative, controlling personality. Do not engage.

by Anonymousreply 8February 22, 2017 5:14 PM

R6=Milo Yanabopagaldiajsld

by Anonymousreply 9February 22, 2017 5:16 PM

Some of the stuff her ex and his second wife did to her calls to mind Elmer and Sondra taunting Francine in [italic]Polyester.[/italic]

by Anonymousreply 10February 22, 2017 5:20 PM

I too wish there was a video of Oprah interviewing Betty Bowers, America's Best Christian? I wish she had! Betty used to post on DL quite a bit. She's missed.

by Anonymousreply 11February 22, 2017 5:21 PM

Excellent reference, R10, and quite apt!

by Anonymousreply 12February 22, 2017 5:23 PM

Ok, I just watched this. Bitch is CRAY.

by Anonymousreply 13February 28, 2017 2:57 PM

Are the gays fascinated by this because such a hot daddy was killed?

by Anonymousreply 14February 28, 2017 3:13 PM

Her husband seemed like a dick.

by Anonymousreply 15February 28, 2017 3:54 PM

Broderick should be set free.

by Anonymousreply 16February 28, 2017 4:04 PM

R16= hysterical, deranged frau.

by Anonymousreply 17February 28, 2017 5:06 PM

R15 fortunately being a dick is not a capital offense in most states or DL would be dead.

by Anonymousreply 18February 28, 2017 5:29 PM

Dan was a hottie, no?

by Anonymousreply 19March 1, 2017 3:01 PM

[qute]Are the gays fascinated by this because such a hot daddy was killed?

No, gurl...see R13 for your answer.
Ok, I just watched this. Bitch is CRAY.

Nothing fascinates the gays like a CRAY bitch.

by Anonymousreply 20March 1, 2017 3:19 PM

His second wife looked mighty like the young(er) Betty.

by Anonymousreply 21March 1, 2017 3:23 PM
Broderick should be set free.

So you can befriend her, right?

by Anonymousreply 22March 1, 2017 3:25 PM

Oprah: you know why I think you were jealous of her? Betty: Why??!! OPRAH: YOU SHOT HER!

Hysterical!!!

by Anonymousreply 23March 1, 2017 3:28 PM

Will Betty be Oprah's VP?

by Anonymousreply 24March 1, 2017 3:31 PM

Is Betty a top or a bottom in the Joint?

by Anonymousreply 25March 1, 2017 3:34 PM

Curiosity killed the cat.

by Anonymousreply 26March 1, 2017 3:45 PM

This is the one son today.

by Anonymousreply 28March 1, 2017 4:34 PM

Burning up the clothes, Betty, is a bit nutty.

by Anonymousreply 29March 1, 2017 4:37 PM
Betty, is a bit nutty.

You think? No kidding.

by Anonymousreply 30March 1, 2017 4:39 PM

Is it just me or can you hear laughter from Oprah's studio audience as the interview is played? Strange hearing laughter at some of Betty's frankly scary statements.

by Anonymousreply 31March 1, 2017 4:48 PM

R30, the whole line is a quote from Oprah.

by Anonymousreply 32March 1, 2017 4:53 PM
[R30], the whole line is a quote from Oprah.

Oh, right - except you didn't make it clear that it was a quote, so it was confusing .

by Anonymousreply 33March 1, 2017 4:56 PM

Betty seems more Kathy Najimy in this interview than Meredith Baxter.

by Anonymousreply 34March 1, 2017 5:11 PM

Amy Adams could win an Oscar playing her.

by Anonymousreply 35March 1, 2017 5:15 PM

The son appears to be a homosexual!

by Anonymousreply 36March 1, 2017 5:23 PM

The son married someone who looks eerily similar to both his mom and the dad's new wife.

by Anonymousreply 37March 1, 2017 5:31 PM

R36, how do you see that from the photo?

by Anonymousreply 38March 1, 2017 8:23 PM

Because he wants to.

by Anonymousreply 39March 1, 2017 11:12 PM

She made some excellent points.

by Anonymousreply 40March 2, 2017 12:11 AM

Who? Oprah or Betty?

by Anonymousreply 41March 2, 2017 6:12 AM

Not knowing much about this, I figured she killed them soon after the separation but it was 4 years?

by Anonymousreply 42March 2, 2017 11:49 AM

Anyone have a link to part 2? I'd love to see the interview with the kids.

by Anonymousreply 43March 2, 2017 6:00 PM

I'm on my iPhone and it won't let me watch. TRAGEDY.

by Anonymousreply 44March 2, 2017 6:10 PM

I can't watch the whole thing. I'm too spooked.

by Anonymousreply 45March 2, 2017 6:11 PM

Is Betty dead yet?

by Anonymousreply 46March 2, 2017 6:19 PM

No...

by Anonymousreply 47March 2, 2017 6:19 PM

The link doesn't even work for me anymore.

by Anonymousreply 48March 2, 2017 6:36 PM

I think she just had another parole hearing and was denied again. Apparently, the kids are divided on whether to release her.

by Anonymousreply 49March 2, 2017 6:45 PM

Anyone have a link to part 2, please?

by Anonymousreply 50March 2, 2017 9:19 PM

No clips of that episode apparently. The younger son (Rhett?) appeared on Oprah another time when he was older.

by Anonymousreply 51March 3, 2017 3:35 PM

Dan was cute - are there nude photos presenting hole?

by Anonymousreply 52March 3, 2017 4:43 PM

This is the other son.

I SO want to see the follow-up show.

by Anonymousreply 54March 6, 2017 1:03 PM

The older son looks more like the father.

by Anonymousreply 55March 6, 2017 1:05 PM

by Anonymousreply 57March 6, 2017 4:37 PM

An female defense attorney, who was interviewed about Betty, said she was upset that so many of her female clients said to her, "They were going to 'go Betty' on their soon to be ex-husbands."

by Anonymousreply 58March 6, 2017 5:00 PM

Thanks for the book recommendation. I am devouring it.

by Anonymousreply 59March 10, 2017 7:01 PM

I will post the complete interview soon if someone is interested.

by Anonymousreply 60October 14, 2019 3:34 PM

I'm interested, Centauruss. Thanks for offering.

by Anonymousreply 61October 14, 2019 4:50 PM

The interview in jail took place in 1992. The satelite interview took place in 2005. I will soon post the jail interview 1992 (by the end of the week i think).
