The power of incumbency;death of unions; and an impotent Democratic Party are all gonna make Trump a second term president. Only an economic collapse will preclude it. He is immune to scandal and rational atracks
Trump will be reelected in 2020

Well then let's just pass this jagged kidney stone and reconvene in 2024.

Don't be stupid OP. The next four years are going to bring horrors beyond your wildest imagining.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | November 26, 2016 11:40 PM |
F&F this moron.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | November 26, 2016 11:58 PM |
this is indeed my fear

[quote]Only an economic collapse will preclude it.
that is highly likely

People said Reagan couldn't get elected. Then, they said he couldn't be reelected.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | November 27, 2016 12:04 AM |
Ahh, but economic collapse will come
by Anonymous | reply 7 | November 27, 2016 12:36 AM |
And 99% of blacks will support Trump at that time!!!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | November 27, 2016 12:36 AM |
R6, Reagan was an accomplished actor, union leader, and 2-term governor of the most populous US state. Trump is an empty suit who cannot even give a speech. He will die in office or be removed by a vote of his cabinet for incompetence within 2 years.

Here are the reasons why Trump might have trouble getting re-elected:
1. While it's technically possible that he will grow into the role, every indication at this point is that he is exactly who he was during the campaign. And that's not someone who has the temperament or the judgment to succeed.
2. He cannot deliver on his promises (assuming that he can even remember what they were). The jobs aren't coming back, the wall won't be built, and he won't be able to fix what's wrong with health care, among others.
3. There are signs that Trump and the Republican Congress are already overreaching, determined to wipe out Medicare, for example, in addition to Obamacare, weakening or destroying various environmental regulations, and so on. That's not going to go over well and it's almost certainly going to make things worse, not better.
4. Massive tax cuts for the wealthy only have two significant impacts: they make the wealthy wealthier and they massively increase the debt.
5. We're overdue for a stock market downturn and a likely recession, which also isn't going to go over well. And you'd better believe that Democrats will leap to blame this on Trump, justified or not.
6. Even his one proposal that on the surface seems to make sense, the infrastructure proposal, is still a giveaway to the wealthy rather than a true jobs package or infrastructure rebuilding package. It's going to be an expensive boondoggle that isn't going to bring in many jobs and that is going to be ripe for corruption.
7. Given his cavalier attitude towards conflicts of interest and enriching himself, along with what we know of some of his nominees, I suspect he will have one of the most corrupt administrations of the past 50 years, with quite a few scandals that will make the news.
Maybe I'm wrong and none of this will happen, and certainly his rabid base will remain at his beck and call regardless, but I suspect that the right Democratic candidate will be able to exploit some of these issues.

The US is going on 7 years since the last recession, that is already much longer than average. We are over due for a recession, it was one of my worries about Hillary being elected and being stuck with a potential recession, now Trump will be stuck with one.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | November 27, 2016 1:59 AM |
He's 70 years old and clearly not in good shape. What makes you think he'll last eight years?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | November 27, 2016 2:04 AM |
He's not even going to make it to inauguration. Term 2 is a non-issue.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | November 27, 2016 2:13 AM |
he's rich r12. Money buys you healthcare.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | November 27, 2016 2:18 AM |
Of course, nothing will ever stick to him! He's teflon! He'll be president forever and ever!
It's like a Rethuglican Christmas MIRACLE!
Can't you see it?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | November 27, 2016 2:38 AM |
Hmmmm
by Anonymous | reply 16 | November 27, 2016 2:53 AM |
OP is a Trumpanzee who has been salivating at the prospect of Trump's USA.
Why do you engage with this POS?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | November 27, 2016 2:55 AM |
And because no one is willing to admit that Hillary's lackluster campaign was the main reason for her defeat, we'll probably nominate another charisma-free policy wonk in 2020 ("But this time it will be different! Mark my words!"), guaranteeing a second Trump term.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | November 27, 2016 3:00 AM |
I bet you would like that, R18.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | November 27, 2016 3:02 AM |
One term, like Carter and Ford. And just as with Carter and Ford, the American voter will have had enough of Trump's shenanigans after 4 years and support someone more appropriate.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | November 27, 2016 3:02 AM |
Yes, obviously R18 would like that, R19. She does nothing but run around bitching and whining about Hillary.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | November 27, 2016 3:03 AM |
Trump is not stable. He'll have trouble completing one term.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | November 27, 2016 5:49 AM |
They want Pence to be president. Trump is just the mechanism for it to happen. Fear Pence
by Anonymous | reply 23 | November 27, 2016 2:26 PM |
You have to get to the Tea Party. They not only took over the Republican Party, but they soon will rule the nation, state and federal
by Anonymous | reply 24 | November 27, 2016 2:27 PM |
I fear OP is prescient
