He was also sitting with his manager and his mom at the time, and they laughed in a supportive way as well...as in, 'a nice guy found their son/client attractive'...in a tone like 'see, you're a good looking kid, even guys find you attractive' sort of thing. They liked the comment. It was not homophobic at all. There was also a separate comment later in the chat where someone said they found both he and his sister attractive and 'was that ok?'...and he was like 'sure...you might bi' (in a very supportive, suggestive tone). AND, a comment came up in that chat about pride (as it was done in June), and he and sister immediately when "oh yeah, happy Pride month!" and then his mom and manager said the same in a VERY supportive and celebratory tone. Again, there was nothing homophobic in that facebook live chat.

He has also been vocally supportive of gay stuff in a few interviews going quite a few years back (before he hit his break with Teen Wolf)...and then there was the gay representation topic that came up at his first Comic-Con for Teen Wolf, and he was genuinely supportive about the issue even then.

I believe he's also retweeted that quote from Kurt Cobain about "wishing to be gay so he could piss of homophobes".
