Which do you call this classic 70s instrumental?
"Nadia's Theme," or "Theme To The Young And Restless" or "Cotton's Dream"

I call it "one of the songs Barry DeVorzon wrote after IWWSDT."

The sample music for Mary J Blige's "No More Drama".
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 7, 2016 8:13 PM |
I always referred to it as "Bless the Beasts and the Children".

I watch this show everyday!

Nadia's Theme, of course.

I always enjoyed "Mariah's Theme (Can't Take That Away)" We never hear it anymore though.

I always called it "here comes the Columbia lady" since it was also the end credits music.

Is there a Y&R thread?
Burton finally out is hilarious a hot minute after his mama bear goes.

Burton will be just fine with his monavie juice but it is a riot that they won't pay for his flights anymore so he walked.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | October 7, 2016 1:36 PM |
I will have Burton on his knees.

Neil died today.

As Seventies song titles go, it's no "Prisoner (Love Theme from "Eyes of Laura Mars")."

I call it "Bless The Beasts and the Children"
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 24, 2019 1:59 AM |
Bless the Beasts and the Children is an entirely different song, R14. You’re an idiot.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 24, 2019 3:56 AM |
I’m not an Idiot, but I always thought Nadia’s Theme and Music Box Dancer were the same song. I now know that they weren’t.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 24, 2019 4:09 AM |
Then you are an idiot, r16, musically, at least.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 24, 2019 4:11 AM |
I call it "Don't Let's Be Beastly to the Germans."
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 24, 2019 4:50 AM |
I just call it dated.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 24, 2019 5:04 AM |
Whatever it's actual title, it makes me feel old & rested.

I loved this song as a child. So sad and dramatic. I thought I would like Young and the Restless since it was the theme song but I could never get into soap operas.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 24, 2019 9:58 AM |
I was able to get into soap operas later in life, r22, but not Y&R (or B&B).

A similar theme would be 'Sleepy Shores' by Johnny Pearson, which became part of the soundtrack for Rod Serling's 'Encounter With The Unknown' (1972). In that context, it became creepy.

Wow, r25, I probably haven't heard that song in over 30 years. I remember hearing it all the time back in the 70s. Totally takes me back to my childhood home and quiet weekend mornings listening to the easy listening station while the rest of the family was still sleeping.
