"Nadia's Theme," or "Theme To The Young And Restless" or "Cotton's Dream"

Which do you call this classic 70s instrumental?

I call it "one of the songs Barry DeVorzon wrote after IWWSDT."

The sample music for Mary J Blige's "No More Drama".

by Anonymousreply 3August 7, 2016 8:13 PM

I always referred to it as "Bless the Beasts and the Children".

by Anonymousreply 4August 7, 2016 9:01 PM

I watch this show everyday!

by Anonymousreply 5August 29, 2016 6:05 PM

Nadia's Theme, of course.

by Anonymousreply 6August 29, 2016 7:20 PM

I always enjoyed "Mariah's Theme (Can't Take That Away)" We never hear it anymore though.

by Anonymousreply 7August 30, 2016 12:06 AM

I always called it "here comes the Columbia lady" since it was also the end credits music.

by Anonymousreply 8August 30, 2016 1:22 AM

Is there a Y&R thread?

Burton finally out is hilarious a hot minute after his mama bear goes.

by Anonymousreply 9October 7, 2016 1:34 PM

Burton will be just fine with his monavie juice but it is a riot that they won't pay for his flights anymore so he walked.

by Anonymousreply 10October 7, 2016 1:36 PM

I will have Burton on his knees.

by Anonymousreply 11October 7, 2016 2:28 PM

Neil died today.

As Seventies song titles go, it's no "Prisoner (Love Theme from "Eyes of Laura Mars")."

by Anonymousreply 13April 24, 2019 1:41 AM

I call it "Bless The Beasts and the Children"

by Anonymousreply 14April 24, 2019 1:59 AM

Bless the Beasts and the Children is an entirely different song, R14. You’re an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 15April 24, 2019 3:56 AM

I’m not an Idiot, but I always thought Nadia’s Theme and Music Box Dancer were the same song. I now know that they weren’t.

Then you are an idiot, r16, musically, at least.

by Anonymousreply 17April 24, 2019 4:11 AM

I call it "Don't Let's Be Beastly to the Germans."

by Anonymousreply 18April 24, 2019 4:50 AM

I just call it dated.

by Anonymousreply 19April 24, 2019 5:04 AM

Whatever it's actual title, it makes me feel old & rested.

by Anonymousreply 20April 24, 2019 5:47 AM

For r14

I loved this song as a child. So sad and dramatic. I thought I would like Young and the Restless since it was the theme song but I could never get into soap operas.

A replacement for the lost link:

I was able to get into soap operas later in life, r22, but not Y&R (or B&B).

by Anonymousreply 24April 24, 2019 10:12 AM

A similar theme would be 'Sleepy Shores' by Johnny Pearson, which became part of the soundtrack for Rod Serling's 'Encounter With The Unknown' (1972). In that context, it became creepy.

Wow, r25, I probably haven't heard that song in over 30 years. I remember hearing it all the time back in the 70s. Totally takes me back to my childhood home and quiet weekend mornings listening to the easy listening station while the rest of the family was still sleeping.
