WEHT Sandy Duncan?

Surely she's done something since the Hogan's?!

by Anonymousreply 67June 19, 2019 4:42 PM

Her husband Don Correa now works in real estate and I believe Sandy does as well, until a gig surfaces.

by Anonymousreply 1November 8, 2015 10:54 PM

Sandy and her fan base rarely see eye to eye on her choice of acting choices.

by Anonymousreply 2November 8, 2015 10:59 PM

She's better than JLaw

by Anonymousreply 3November 8, 2015 11:03 PM

She's been on Law & order two years in a row. Last time she played on a stage was around 2008, when she played one of the leads in NO NO NANETTE at Encores.

No shit, r4?

by Anonymousreply 5November 8, 2015 11:08 PM

No shit, [R5].

by Anonymousreply 6November 8, 2015 11:09 PM

What did the Hogans possess?

by Anonymousreply 7November 8, 2015 11:17 PM

yum!

by Anonymousreply 8November 26, 2015 12:16 AM

Sandy's been up to her eyeball with work.

by Anonymousreply 9November 26, 2015 12:27 AM

When her eye fell out of its socket

Sandy gave chase as fast as a rocket

Thrrrrrough fields of shrrrrreded Ha-wheat

Miss Daisy was heard to bleat,

"Who was that cunt?"

by Anonymousreply 10November 26, 2015 12:40 AM

Her cover of Kim Carnes " Sandy Duncan's Eye" sank her career.

by Anonymousreply 11November 26, 2015 12:52 AM

She was yesterday's mashed potatoes even30 yrs ago when she was hired for The Hogans. Now she's petrified mashed potatoes.

by Anonymousreply 12November 26, 2015 8:50 AM

Thanks for keeping an eye out for her r1 and r4

by Anonymousreply 13November 26, 2015 10:28 AM

Sandy in ' No No Nanette"? Eye just can't see it.

by Anonymousreply 14November 26, 2015 11:49 AM

I thought she was dead.

by Anonymousreply 15November 26, 2015 12:19 PM

Saw her in Chicago on Bway. She was amazing actually!

by Anonymousreply 16November 26, 2015 12:27 PM

She was divoone as Roxie in Chicago!

by Anonymousreply 17November 26, 2015 12:27 PM

Eye just can't believe how you queens are fixated on an untrue rumor.

by Anonymousreply 18November 26, 2015 1:06 PM

Her eye was the only thing that was really distinctive about her work, beyond being "perky".

by Anonymousreply 19November 26, 2015 1:24 PM

I wonder if appearing nude on her 70s sitcom affected her career

by Anonymousreply 20November 26, 2015 1:43 PM

Her breakout role was playing Mole McHenry in John Waters' Desperate Living.

by Anonymousreply 21November 26, 2015 1:52 PM

I would like to believe we saw eye to eye.

by Anonymousreply 22November 26, 2015 2:01 PM

I heard Jason Bateman doesn't return her calls, either.

by Anonymousreply 23November 26, 2015 2:03 PM

and?

by Anonymousreply 24December 14, 2015 9:55 PM

I saw her in the Encores No No Nanette and she was excellent. During a big dance number, she slipped and fell and damn if that bitch didn't go down smiling and pop right back up smiling. She must have vaseline on her teeth because that fall had to hurt, but she kept right on smiling.

Also that production has Rosie O'Donnell as the Irish maid. It is the only time I've ever seen Rosie in a dress.

by Anonymousreply 25December 14, 2015 10:15 PM

Was she the mom in My So Called Life?

by Anonymousreply 26December 15, 2015 3:00 AM

...........

by Anonymousreply 27December 15, 2015 4:24 AM

I know her.

by Anonymousreply 28December 15, 2015 4:36 AM

[quote]What did the Hogans possess?

A lot of tight jeans and Edie McClurg.

by Anonymousreply 29December 15, 2015 4:41 AM

[quote]Was she the mom in My So Called Life?

No, that was Bess Alexander.

by Anonymousreply 30December 15, 2015 5:06 AM

Best actress I have ever seen in Chicago on Broadway.

by Anonymousreply 31December 15, 2015 5:35 AM

She was amazing in this!

by Anonymousreply 34December 15, 2015 5:50 AM

Smarmy one-eyed bitch who sucked Ron Miller's cock to get where she is today. I should have played her part in [italic]The Cat From Outer Space[/italic]. And her part in [italic]The Fox and the Hound[/italic]. And don't get me started on this or why my good friend John Davidson couldn't put in a good word for me.

I thought so, too.

by Anonymousreply 38December 15, 2015 6:05 AM

Sandy is perky as ever. Turns 70 in February.

by Anonymousreply 39December 15, 2015 7:03 AM

Hello Sandy! I'm Shelley Duvall!

I always thought her character and Jason Bateman's character (was he called David?) had loads of sexual chemistry that sadly was unresolved...

by Anonymousreply 41December 15, 2015 9:43 AM

I thought she choked to death eating Wheat Thins...

Maybe I just wished it

by Anonymousreply 42December 15, 2015 1:58 PM

IIRC her bio in Nanette stated that she doesn't have a glass eye.

by Anonymousreply 43December 15, 2015 2:01 PM

I always get her confused with Sandy Dennis.

by Anonymousreply 44December 15, 2015 2:11 PM

Thanks r40. Two of a kind.

by Anonymousreply 45December 15, 2015 2:50 PM

She's one of those people who gave perky a bad name. I liked how Debra Jo Repp (the mom on That 70s Show) basically was a dark parody of that kind of character from Duncan's heyday.

by Anonymousreply 46January 10, 2016 1:48 PM

Who knows how many dicks she needed to suck to claw her way to the top?

by Anonymousreply 47January 10, 2016 1:52 PM

She has always been better than the material she was given. She was one of the best defense lawyers ever on Law and Order.

by Anonymousreply 48January 10, 2016 2:41 PM

and?

by Anonymousreply 49February 15, 2016 2:09 AM

FWIW, when she took over "The Hogan Family", she said that the early shows she did annoy even her. She said she screams at the TV "Shut up and sit down."

by Anonymousreply 50February 15, 2016 2:23 AM

She has the weirdest accent. It's like a mix of a New York and southern accent - reminds me of Annie Potts.

by Anonymousreply 51June 19, 2019 7:15 AM

Duncan has been nominated for three Tony Awards, two Emmy Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards.

No one under 50 has ever heard of her.

by Anonymousreply 53June 19, 2019 7:29 AM

[quote]I always get her confused with Sandy Dennis.

I get her confused with Dunkin' Donuts

by Anonymousreply 54June 19, 2019 10:51 AM

[quote]Duncan has been [bold]nominated[/bold] for three Tony Awards, two Emmy Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards.

That means she lost

by Anonymousreply 55June 19, 2019 10:52 AM

She is like me but not good

by Anonymousreply 56June 19, 2019 10:53 AM

No glass eye. It's an urban myth. She did choke to death on a ham sandwich.

by Anonymousreply 57June 19, 2019 10:58 AM

She was better than anyone else as Peter Pan.

by Anonymousreply 58June 19, 2019 11:04 AM

I worked with her on SVU. On the "street," she's thought to be the most talented actor to never have an original role written for her (in a stage musical).

by Anonymousreply 59June 19, 2019 11:12 AM

Says she live sin NYC. Where or what part? I never hear about sightings of her.

by Anonymousreply 60June 19, 2019 12:14 PM

Kathy Rigby was 100x better than Sandy Duncan. Sandy was good enough, certainly. But Rigby gave it energy it never had before she took on the role.

by Anonymousreply 61June 19, 2019 1:02 PM

r58

FUCK YOU IN THE ASS

by Anonymousreply 62June 19, 2019 3:55 PM

I'd love to see her pull off a later-life tour de force performance.

by Anonymousreply 63June 19, 2019 4:12 PM

She pretty much shot her wad with "The Hogans" and her Wheat Thins commercials. From an artistic perspective, she said all that she had come to say, and that was enough.

Mary Martin won a Tiny Award for Best Actress in a Musical for "Peter Pan "

When Mary saw Sandy Duncan in "Peter Pan," she praised her a lot

by Anonymousreply 65June 19, 2019 4:37 PM

Maybe SHE should do Gypsy!

by Anonymousreply 66June 19, 2019 4:39 PM

Well... Duncan was better than Kathryn Crosby, who I saw do it (try it?) in stock.

But, yes. Rigby.
