Basketball star James Harden has to stop wearing Nike shoes after Oct.1

James Harden signed a $200 million endorsement deal with Adidas that officially begins on Oct. 1, at which time the Houston Rockets shooting guard must stop wearing his Nike shoes.

According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell notes Mark King, president of Adidas North America, said “that’s part of the deal.”

James Harden was recently caught by TMZ wearing a pair of Nike Air Jordans

Obscene.

I'd gladly stop wearing Nikes for $200M.

And really, 200 FUCKING MILLION DOLLARS for one person? I don't even know who James Harden is.

A basketball player and Khloe K new BF r2

$200M???? Seriously? I always find amounts like this quoted to be a bit dubious. I imagine that "$200 Million" doesn't = $200M cash, but rather a - no doubt - big cash payment, plus the opportunity to earn up to $200 M (revenue sharing etc.). Anyone have knowledge of how these massive sponsorship deals work? They can't actually be paying him $200M.

I think that David Beckham was once paid over 150 million in endorsements

by Anonymousreply 5September 17, 2015 8:29 AM

What has Al Sharpton said about this?

by Anonymousreply 6September 17, 2015 9:39 AM

It's time the Rockets get a championship

He looks like Denzel's son who's playing the main football player on "Ballers."

by Anonymousreply 8September 17, 2015 7:11 PM

Where's my cut r6

by Anonymousreply 9September 19, 2015 2:25 AM

Aside from agreeing with how disgusting these endorsement deals are... Can you even imagine the supreme assholishness of wearing someone else's fucking shoes?!?!

It figures that he's associated with that revolting gypsy grifter family.

I can actually imagine any one of them shoplifting.

by Anonymousreply 10September 19, 2015 2:44 AM

200 million dollars for shooting a fucking basketball.

by Anonymousreply 11September 19, 2015 2:59 AM

He's not even that great. Fucking get real. Adidas is really desperate. They have ugly shoes. I have seen Harden before, he likes them fat whores. This was before Kim K's sister.

Whatever the actual amount may be, it's still more than what they're paying you as a manager at Shake Shack.
