I want her to be, but I'm scared. What is DL's consensus?
Will Hillary be our next president?

Absolutely not. I'd vote for Trump before I let that cunt back in the WH.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | August 5, 2015 1:37 AM |
If you answered no, who do you think it will be?
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 5, 2015 1:42 AM |
Bush. Trump is just an entertaining distraction.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 5, 2015 1:49 AM |
Well, Hillary does not play; that's for certain. I will bide my time bore making a reasoned decision, but I will say that she gets points from me for being that way. Whereas all Trump has EVER done is play -- with what essentially was Monopoly money and smoke and mirrors. I call for a complete disclosure of just exactly what it is that's sitting on top of his head.

There are so many variables right now, it's hard to tell.
The Republicans' first debate is on Thursday, and from that point, we can begin weeding out candidates on the right.
I'm not sure if/when the Democrats are going to start debating, because nothing has been announced.
I need to hear them speak and debate the issues, before I can start making a decision.
For me, a candidate is never a foregone conclusion. I have to know what they're all about.

She's obviously unelectable.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 5, 2015 2:03 AM |
Of course Hillary will win. The economy is doing great so there is no need for the electorate to switch political parties.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 5, 2015 2:12 AM |
Yes. Despite misogyny and people who are clearly intimidated by her, she will win.

Despite her insincere personality, her boundless greed, and her obvious corruption, she may win.

She's qualified, very much so, to do the job--but her extensive baggage will do her in. There's only so much you can explain away or sweep under the rug, and the Rethug super PAC advertising will remind the general public on a regular basis just exactly what's in her carpetbag--which she was, by the way

And r7, the economy is only great for those with means. The lower middle-class is still struggling, and it is still difficult for many people to find work. The rebounding economy we keep hearing about doesn't apply to everyone
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 5, 2015 2:51 AM |
What country are you in, r7?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 5, 2015 2:59 AM |
I sure hope she is.
First off, she'd be one of our most experienced Presidents right off the bat, with TONS of great international relationships, and a "First Husband" with even MORE experience. She'd easily do a great job.
But I also admit I just want Republican and Misogynist heads to explode. And I want the first woman president (it's time).
CLINTON/CASTRO 2016!

Of course Hillary will be our next president. The only people who blather on about her "baggage" are Fixed News-watching clowns, concern trolls and extreme Lefty loons. Normal people have tremendous respect for Hillary Clinton and that includes a huge percentage of Women, Independents and Latinos - the key voting demographics needed to win in the general. Bernie's great but no Socialist will be elected to the US presidency in my lifetime. Right or wrong, that's reality.
The Republican field is lackluster to say the least. Not a single one of them is Hillary's equal in stature at home and abroad and they all know it. Well, all of them except for Trump and that's only because he's batshit.
I am really enjoying this Trump campaign. It's so insanely fake and funny that I can't wait to open up the paper and see what he's said/done next. Now if only they'd let Frothy and Oops into the debates, all would be right with the comedy world.

Charming how they overlook the fact that Ms. Clinton has done everything in her power all her life to avoid being normal.

While I'd vote for the Dem over the Rep any day, I think just enough Americans will be voting for Jeb! to make him President. Americans like switching parties almost every other president with few exceptions.

Not if Joe Biden gets in the race then she will the Democratic nomination to Joe she can't beat Joe.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 5, 2015 4:00 AM |
No.
She will be Hillary the Loser.
I'm excited about that!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 5, 2015 4:06 AM |
I don't trust Hillary with my life! She's a freakin' lying lesbian!!!
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 5, 2015 5:34 PM |
And?
