I only remember him playing cheesy bad guy characters like R8.

Hunny he made my blood race and he has aged very well. He is extremely old now, but you can see he was fine once.

He looks like a young Johnny Depp, if Johnny looked like an actual man.

Of Esther Williams, Bette Midler mused "Wet, she's a star. Dry, she ain't." Which seemed to me to be a very cruel observation. One could muse the same of Bette in the baths in contrast to her abysmal film and television output, but I would never "burn" someone in that manner.

R23, Bette didn't say that. Fanny Brice did.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 18, 2019 5:00 AM |
Fanny Brice said that about Eleanor Holm - Joe Pasternak, her producer, said it about Esther - who is a big liar and wrote so many things in her book that weren't true it should have been sold as fiction.

[quote]Fanny Brice said that about Eleanor Holm
Fanny's discovery that Eleanor Holm is having an affair with Billy Rose is a plot point in "Funny Lady."

by Anonymous | reply 28 | July 18, 2019 3:33 PM |
